Great location. Lovely spacious room, with all the comforts and nice hospitality tray, thank you for the complimentary sherry 👍 Fabulous comfortable bed and quality bedding, we particularly loved the TV that was in-built at the end of the bed ❤️ Huge bathroom with deep claw foot bath and a big separate shower cubicle, nice toiletries and big fluffy towels and face clothes. All in all making it a lovely comfortable stay. We will definitely be returning.
Just our opinion - but would not affect us staying again. It would have been nice to have a slightly earlier/later check-in/check-out times. Check-in @ 4pm and check-out @ 10am is later/earlier than most properties & hotels we have stayed in previously. An added bonus would be a small fridge to keep drinks cool (the weather was so hot this weekend).

The location of Victoria House is perfect when staying in Stow-on-the-Wold. Although we were on the 2nd floor, we found the room very comfortable, and even though we had an external bathroom (room 7) across the hall, it did not lessen our comfort or experience. The dressing gown/s are a thoughtful addition to use the external bathroom. The fridge to keep milk in downstairs was a welcome addition. The bed is huge, 2 x large singles put together but you don’t feel the seems. If you like a traditional English breakfast, then use Hacket’s right across the road for a very personal service with all local produce sourced. We managed to park once immediately across the road (3 spaces only) which [is] restricted but free between 4pm-8am. Otherwise we parked in the road behind Hackets using the narrow alleys to walk through and link the adjacent roads. Would we stay here again, yes, for a weekend but not for a week.
Only 2 x sachets of sugar on arrival, so we had to buy some immediately and for the morning. Sometimes there were a couple of extras downstairs but you had to be quick! The road can be noisy if hot and you have the window open, as it’s very busy from the early hours, especially with HGV’s and agricultural vehicles. Limited hanging space for clothes, just some multiple hooks on the back of the door, no wardrobe. This wasn’t an issue for a long weekend, but for a longer stay it would be a case of living out of the suitcase and ironing. (There is an Iron and board in the room).

Great position in Stow with easy access to free street parking each afternoon for the night. Clean and ordered room, with sherry being a nice touch. The communal fridge downstairs was very helpful as was the little tea and coffee-making station in the room.
Little to find fault with. Our room, no. 2, was compact but had sufficient storage. A 2nd bedside lamp would have been nice. I would have liked enough space for an armchair as there is no communal lounge space.

Amazing location right in the centre. Robes and slippers. Fan, toiletries, hair dryer, tea, coffee, biscuits & a complimentary bottle of sherry. The room is very uniquely decorated with upcycled vintage furniture. It was a very pleasant little stay in the Cotswolds!
The room was a good size, but the bathroom was very small. It didn’t really matter for us as we didn’t spend much time in the hotel room. I can’t comment on what the staff are like as it’s zero contact, all self check in through a key pad. The kettle still had water from the previous stay, and the shower head wasn’t the cleanest. But these are just minor issues that can be fixed. There is no parking on the site, as it’s on a main road. Parking tip: We parked at the free council parking adjacent to Tesco which is about a 7 minute walk and free for 72 hours!

Wonderful large room. Very clean. Comfortable bed with quality bed linen. Large bathroom with excellent shower. Hospitality tray. We really appreciated the owners putting on the heating so that the room was cozy when we arrived.
If you are light-sensitive, you might like to bring an eye mask. The windows had shutters, but the early morning light bled into the room and woke us early. It would be great if the owners also added curtains to give a real block-out feel.

Great location just minutes walk from town centre. Beautiful rooms with very comfortable beds. Amenities provided: bathrobe, slippers, biscuits, hairdryer, coffee/tea and even sherry! Free overnight parking just across the street. Will stay here again!
We booked 2 rooms. The twin room was separate from bathroom opposite the room but we had private use of the bathroom. All rooms had keypad pin. Had to remember 3 entry pins for main door, bedroom and bathroom. 🤣

The entry instructions were very clear. We got into the room which was very nicely presented tidy and clean. A nice touch to be able to have a complimentary glass of sherry if you wanted to. The property was in a very good central location with parking outside although there are time restrictions.
Nothing really. Our room did face onto the main road so for some people the traffic noise may be a problem but I actually quite like it.

Self check in and out was so easy with the instructions given the day before our arrival. Separate bathroom we thought would be a problem but both of us actually preferred it as we had a beautifully big suite and the shower was excellent! Free toiletries and excellent tea tray but the sherry was an extra nice surprise and treat! ☺️☺️
Parking was an issue on NYE but we are young and healthy enough to carry our bags for a few mins. We parked on a side road which was safe.

Excellent sized room in a great location. Found this room a lot quieter than a downstairs room in which have stayed previously. Clean and comfortable with good tea and coffee making facility. Plenty of space for clothes. The rainfall shower was excellent, good size cubicle.
Disappointing to find the furniture different from the advertised photos. Bathroom a little small (probably why it wasn’t pictured on the advert). Would benefit from a full length mirror.

Victoria House was beautiful, we loved our stay it was amazing. The bed is the best bed we have ever slept in, it was so comfy and we had a great nights sleep. One night I slept for 10 hours that’s how comfy it was. There was a welcome pack as stated which included Sherry which my partner enjoyed. It is a beautiful location and although it is next to a busy road it isn’t as bad as what people make out on the reviews but we were on the top floor in one of the superior suites. Thank you so much for the stay, we would definitely come back again.
No negatives we loved it. 10/10
