Breakfast and the location, exceptional. A less normal choice of options with a freshly homemade and very tasty breakfast. The location was perfect, RIGHT in the centre of town, with ample free parking (not linked with the accommodation) around.
The owners, were polite, kind and welcoming. One major flaw that made me mark “staff” down: Our room was adjacent to the staff room (a door marked private). At around 8am, this door next to us was inconsiderately slammed with constant banging and noise in that room for around an hour. It was just really unnecessary and as if they were unaware of our presence. Minus that though, honestly, everything else was perfect.

What an absolute gem of a find! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Stow-on-the-Wold with easy access to all the lovely shops, cafes, resturants and pubs. Was surprised that such a cute little tea room could have such amazing B&B rooms above! The check in was seamless, we arrived early & had lunch at the tearoom after which we were kindly shown our room two hours earlier than official check in time. We chose poached eggs on toast. They were Cackleberry eggs which were so very tasty & had the most deep orange yokes I've ever seen! This is an old building so the rooms are accessed by a fairly steep winding staircase however I am of senior age & walk with a stick but managed it slowly. Our room was delightful, not huge but had everything we could need & was comfortable. The ensuite bathroom however was very big, had a separate shower cubicle & a huge corner bath with an inset seat which made access much easier for me so it was a real luxury treat to enjoy a bath rather than a shower & the hot water was plentiful. Handwash, shower gel, shampoo & body moisturiser were all provided as well as a hairdryer. One touch that I loved, & I wish all hotels and B&Bs would provide, was a bottle of tap water & two glasses in our room. Breakfast was tea, coffee, juice & a choice breakfast from the tearoom breakfast menu which included the usual full English type of breakfast, eggs on toast (various ways) & a lovely large yoghurt, fruit & granola bowl (which we chose) & was delicious. The tearoom has seating inside & also has seating in a lovely courtyard where we had lunch on our arrival.
It didn't spoil anything for us but the water heater is pretty noisy in room 4 when the hot water tap is turned on in any room it would seem.

We stayed here for two nights on New Year’s Eve the place was very clean, staff very welcoming, lovely room and comfy bed and food was unreal, perfect location too
We were in room 5 so as you walk through our door to room 5 there’s a locked cupboard then a steep flight of stairs, however a few times it sounded like staff were at the bottom of the stairs and going in the cupboard which was abit unsettling although it could of just been the noise from the other rooms so I’m unsure but did scare me a little the thought of someone potentially being in there without us knowing, this was literally the only downfall everything else was perfect and would stay again

Breakfast was very nice small menu but if only staying a couple of days great. Very well cooked. Bed was large and very comfortable with nice duvet. Right in the centre of Stow on the Wold. Nice bathroom.
Parking at Local Tesco's was a bit of a pain especially if the weather is bad, but similar situation in many small towns or historic areas. Car park was free overnight and seemed secure. Dont remember the booking.com stating room size ft2 or M2 which is always a bit concerning but room was a very good size so advertise this.

Very quaint, comfy and clean. We liked or large bedroom, and enjoyed a good nights sleep in a very comfy bed. Bathroom was also large with an excellent shower & toiletries were provided. The location was brilliant and so was our full breakfast. The accommodation is above a lovely tea room and our hosts were very friendly and provided all contact information via email and text. Thank you for a fantastic night we wish we could have stayed longer but you were booked up and we can see why!
nothing to dislike.

Good location, right in the centre of town. Literally a stones throw from The Porch House Inn. Owners nice and friendly. Shown to our room promptly, explained the light fixtures etc and breakfast times. Not too noisy even though on Main Street.
At breakfast we asked for granola bowl and pastries. We’re told that the granola delivery hadn’t arrived, and pastries were not ready either. I do think that if you are happy to host breakfast at 8.30am then you should be ready to do so. Eventually got the pastries but couldn’t have granola. Parking is a nightmare, we risked it in town on a 2 hour stay (which was mobbed) and didn’t get a ticket. Bedding is nice enough, not 5 star. I do think that £160 is relatively overpriced for what we got, as seen other places much more affordable but we were having a last minute break.

The breakfast was exceptional. Best high end breakfast food in the area. Everything was fresh and prepared beautifully. You could tell the staff cared deeply about the food and it's presentation. The room was more spacious than we expected, and the decor gave a classic feel that fit the village, but with a modern twist. We felt well taken care of and very safe at this hotel.
The bathtub did have some residue that was not visible to the eye. Upon feeling the side of the tub (before use) I felt some grime on the waterline of the previous user. I had to clean out the tub myself before using it. This was the only downside of the whole stay. Everything else was very clean.

Breakfasts are truly amazing. The apartment was on the second floor up a smallish and narrow staircase. The place is centrally located in downtown Stow. Wonderfully central.
The bed had a few places where we felt the springs. Not enough to prevent sleep but nevertheless. The bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work and the bathroom became quite foggy during showers.

We selected Davenford Stow Gardens as a base for a stay in the Cotswolds. The team were extremely helpful during the booking process and we received excellent instructions about the check-in process, parking and what to do/where to eat during our stay. Breakfasts were excellent as were the afternoon tea scones which we ended up taking away with us! The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable, and quiet at night even though we were facing the street. A very relaxing stay and we will hope to do again.

Davenford Cotswold Gardens is in a great location almost in the heart of the town. It’s an easy walk to everything. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast very good. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good too.,
Even though we were aware that the room would not be serviced unless we were staying three days, we did stay three nights so were disappointed that the bins in our room were not emptied at all in that time.
