During my stay at Number Four at Stow Hotel, I was particularly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially Jonathan. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests, making our experience truly memorable. The room was impressively spacious, offering ample space to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. It was immaculately clean, reflecting the hotel’s high standards of hygiene and comfort. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The quality of the food was outstanding, providing a perfect start to our days. The hotel’s location is another significant advantage. Situated in the very center of the Cotswolds, it served as an ideal base for visiting the surrounding picturesque villages. Whether you want to explore Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, or any of the other charming Cotswold destinations, everything is within easy reach. Overall, Number Four at Stow Hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and exceptional service, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore the Cotswolds.

We just stayed at Number Four at Stowe and absolutely loved the experience from the very beginning. I wish we would have booked 1 more night. I was traveling with my husband and 2 kids, and there was plenty of room in the family room for everyone. We loved the tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies that the staff stocked the room with, and the bathroom was stocked with high end shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. At the end of our second day here we enjoyed sitting behind the hotel in the table and chairs, relaxing while the kids ran in the field and watched the sheep next door. We had an absolutely wonderful time here and would love to come back.

The staff were extremely hospitable and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. Bed was huge and very comfortable.

Literally 4 minute walk away from wedding we were attending at Hyde House, whole reason why we chose this hotel, but not an easy walk at all! No path, just uneven grass verge on a very dark main road. Seemed silly to get a taxi for such a short distance but be careful when walking it! Not hotels’ fault obviously, but perhaps could have been mentioned as most of the clientele staying there were there for the wedding.

Staff were excellent. Food in the restaurant was outstandingly good.

Room 252 had a velux window. I don’t think that the window was double glazed. Consequently the noise from the traffic outside was very loud and kept us awake.

It was very clean, the rooms were lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed for two nights as we had a wedding at Hyde House, and we had breakfast lunch and dinner during our stay. All the food we had was delicious. We had a superior room, which was spacious yet cosy. It was immaculately clean and lovely decor.

The only thing I was not keen on was that you could not stay for one night. The policy is a two night minimum stay. One night was all we needed. That could potentially put us off in the future, However we did thoroughly enjoy our stay.

For attending the Cheltenham Festival it’s perfectly located. The property is good, well maintained and, most importantly, the team there are a super bunch of people!

Nothing negative apart I’d like to say I’ve read other reviews and complaints about road noise, for those who did those all I say is do your research. Yes, there’s a busy road one side of the property, it’s hardly a secret! Ever heard of Google maps? I was in room 206, right by said road, hardly heard a thing.

Hotel was lovely, no issues or complaints. Room was excellent, clean, particularly the large bed.and spacious room. Bath welcome after long day on the bicycle. All the little extras welcome(tea/coffee/biscuits), fridge great addition. Only small issue was we had to shut window overnight due to what sounded like an overflow running..running water... but could have been blocked gutters or just due to too much rain. Didn't use bar or restaurant so can't comment but breakfast was lovely. No complaints. Good parking and Stow easily accessible. Couldn't hear other guests at night.

We had a lovely 2 night stay and had a room with a seperate lounge area so plenty of room for the 2 of us. We ate in the restaurant the 1st night and had a delicious meal and breakfast on both mornings was lovely and cooked to order. The bar area is small but sufficient seating. We were attending a wedding at Hyde House which is a short walk away but you have to walk along a busy A road on grass verdges. We drove and left the car overnight and walked home, it's easier then staying in the village (a good uphill walk of 20 mins+)and trying to book a taxi, as they are scarce in the area. Both the hotel and Hyde House have plenty of parking. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful.

The corridors and bits of our room could do with a bit of upkeep but we still had an excellent stay

The staff are probably the nicest people I've ever come across after many yrs of hotel stays, genuinely nice people who seem to really care about their guests. Lounge area, room, and restaurant are all very nice and I would stay again without question except for pricing of food and drinks. The room rate was good value and breakfast was excellent.

The pricing for drinks and the restaurant food is little short of outrageous. £11.50 each for an Aperol sprintz from the bar? A 3 course meal for 2 with a bottle of house white wine cost £150? The food was very nice, well presented etc. but pricing has to be measured, sorry

The accommodation was extremely clean, comfortable and we particularly liked the provision of a fridge. The staff were efficient, courteous, helpful and always went the extra mile. The location was excellent and an ideal base for exploring the Cotswolds. The breakfasts were also excellent with the hot food being cooked to order. There was plenty of variety and any special requests were always catered for. The evening meals were also of good quality.
