Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. It was consistently excellent each morning with a good variety of fresh fruit, breads, pastries and cereals. The hot breakfast was exceptional! Always hot, freshly made and delicious with a great range of choices. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room we were assigned initially did not have working air-conditioning so we were moved quickly to another equally acceptable room. No issue. All the staff were available to help with questions or luggage at all times. Also, great to be able to ask for small things like glasses of milk and to be given them without a problem or charge. The hotel was quiet even though it's located on a busy road. Good insulation and perhaps triple-glazed windows! All in all this was a fantastic stay.

There is a great hiking trail not far from the hotel. The hotel is very quiet outside. It would be nice to sit outside and look at the fields in the distance on a clear day. There is a delicious restaurant with a great breakfast. Dinner is also very good.

We booked two rooms for two adults and two children. I booked it very early. I thought that as a high-star hotel, it should be unnecessary to inform in advance that our two rooms were arranged next to each other. As a result, they were separated by several rooms. The dinner fee was also calculated incorrectly and deducted in advance before I checked out. If I hadn't taken a closer look at the receipt details, I might have overpaid 23. Of course, the problem was solved smoothly in the end. It is worth mentioning that the room is not very soundproof.

During my stay at Number Four at Stow Hotel, I was particularly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially Jonathan. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests, making our experience truly memorable. The hotel’s location is another significant advantage. Situated in the very center of the Cotswolds, it served as an ideal base for visiting the surrounding picturesque villages. Whether you want to explore Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, or any of the other charming Cotswold destinations, everything is within easy reach. Overall, Number Four at Stow Hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and exceptional service, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore the Cotswolds.

We just stayed at Number Four at Stowe and absolutely loved the experience from the very beginning. I wish we would have booked 1 more night. I was traveling with my husband and 2 kids, and there was plenty of room in the family room for everyone. We loved the tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies that the staff stocked the room with, and the bathroom was stocked with high end shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. At the end of our second day here we enjoyed sitting behind the hotel in the table and chairs, relaxing while the kids ran in the field and watched the sheep next door. We had an absolutely wonderful time here and would love to come back.

The staff were extremely hospitable and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. Bed was huge and very comfortable.

Literally 4 minute walk away from wedding we were attending at Hyde House, whole reason why we chose this hotel, but not an easy walk at all! No path, just uneven grass verge on a very dark main road. Seemed silly to get a taxi for such a short distance but be careful when walking it! Not hotels’ fault obviously, but perhaps could have been mentioned as most of the clientele staying there were there for the wedding.

Exceptionally clean , brand new carpets had been fitted. There were beautiful well kept gardens all around the property and lovely comfortable garden furniture to sit outside. Inside the spaces were well thought out and the decor was of good quality and style . The bed was large and the room was comfortable with heating and air conditioning available. Little extras were left for us along with the kettle and coffee machine. Extra touches throughout made it special.

This property is exceptional with nothing to not like

It was very clean, the rooms were lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We stayed for two nights as we had a wedding at Hyde House, and we had breakfast lunch and dinner during our stay. All the food we had was delicious. We had a superior room, which was spacious yet cosy. It was immaculately clean and lovely decor.

The only thing I was not keen on was that you could not stay for one night. The policy is a two night minimum stay. One night was all we needed. That could potentially put us off in the future, However we did thoroughly enjoy our stay.

For attending the Cheltenham Festival it’s perfectly located. The property is good, well maintained and, most importantly, the team there are a super bunch of people!

Nothing negative apart I’d like to say I’ve read other reviews and complaints about road noise, for those who did those all I say is do your research. Yes, there’s a busy road one side of the property, it’s hardly a secret! Ever heard of Google maps? I was in room 206, right by said road, hardly heard a thing.

Staff were excellent. Food in the restaurant was outstandingly good.

Room 252 had a velux window. I don’t think that the window was double glazed. Consequently the noise from the traffic outside was very loud and kept us awake.

The food was excellent. The staff were efficient and friendly. The shower was brilliant! The hotel is ideally placed to visit all villages in the Cotswolds. We would stay at No Four at Stow again.

Our room was rather small and dark. It overlooked another part of the hotel, so we missed the light and a view from the window. The other side of the hotel looked over the car park or a lawn, which we would prefer if we stayed again.
