The Location is excellent for looking around Bourton on the Water, I don't think you could get more central! As the hotel is set back from the road, there was no street noise for us, despite the fact we had a front facing room. The room we had was expensive, however it was decorated as I would expect a building of this age and character. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were extremely helpful throughout our stay. Safe car parking at the rear of the property in a busy village like this is a real boon.
Can't think of much really. It's an old building, so a problem or two is expected. However, my sister's room had an issue in the bathroom that resulted in them being relocated. However, this was done with no fuss.

location was excellent, the hotel was clean, well maintained and full of historic charm and character
the Garden room (7)was extremely small and poorly laid out. there wasn’t anywhere for our toiletries in the en-suite facilities. insufficient space to store the suitcases. it was so bad that I nearly concussed my partner while opening the en-suite door as she was getting clothes out of the case in the only space available in the room. considering the near£200 a night charge. we felt that the hotel offered poor value for money given the cramped room.

Fantastic Staff.... Food Excellent... Strèet food in gardens was absolutely great... The hotel dining rooms... bedrooms ... and gardens were kept clean at all times..
We had the garden room on arrival kettle didn't work. The TV remote didn't work properly. In the defence of the hotel it was sorted very quickly. The Jacuzzi bath didn't work either. So for the first day a little disappointing. Prosecco on the house for our Anniversary was much appreciated. The room is pretty although tired and needs the walls painting. The walls have been touched up but in a different colour makes it look a whole lot worse. Attention to detail is important for the perfect score. We love the Cotswolds and Bourton-on-the-water is our favourite area. 😍 Would I recommend your Hotel 'Yes' is the answer. Thankyou for everything ❤ Take care all.

The location was perfect; you're within the heart of the village and could not be more central. The building was beautiful and the decoration brought it to life, sympathetic to its age but with modern touches so it didn't feel stale. Everything we had to eat at the hotel was top-notch, with clean, high quality ingredients. Above all, every single member of staff was charming, engaging, professional and extremely helpful, going out of their way to make our stay exceptional.
Nothing at all, there was not a single aspect of the stay that we didn't enjoy to the fullest.

Everything was wonderful. My room was on the first floor in the main building and looked out on the "secret" garden out back. Just charming! Although the room was on the cozy side, it was more than adequate for a solo traveler. The bed was very comfortable and daily housekeeping took care of replenishing towels and straightening the room. The location was perfect for my needs as I was able to use it as a home base and explore the area. Parking is a little tight at the rear of the building But I was able to temporarily park close to the rear entrance to bring my luggage in and out of the building and that helped a lot since they have a gravel driveway. Once your luggage is situated in your room you can go back and park your car in the parking lot. They have a small bar inside the main building with lovely little nooks and crannies where you can sit and enjoy an evening drink. Breakfast was included and was prompt and delicious! There are many shops and restaurants within beautiful walking distance over the little bridges.

Loved this place! Charming, unique, cozy and very welcoming. Excellent location smack dab in the center of Bourton On The Water. Requested “the book room” and was not disappointed, absolutely perfection. The details and decor throughout the house were spot on and made you want to explore every nook and cranny. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and attentive, always available and willing to help. Breakfast was lovely.
Dinner was pricey and a bit fussy for us. Foodies would love it, we just needed a few simpler meal options. We enjoyed cocktails, but had dinner elsewhere in town.

I can't say enough about the Dial House. My daughter and I were on a trip together and our flight was cancelled so we were one night off on our accommodations. The staff at the Dial House worked with us to rectify our problem so we could stay on schedule. THANK YOU!!! The outside areas were perfect for "happy hour" and the restaurant served a wonderful breakfast (Try the avocado toast!!) and delicious dinner. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The Inn itself is quaint and beautiful!! We could not have asked for a better two night stay. Thanks again Dial House!!
We loved it all!!

A stunning hotel in a perfect location. A shame there isn't a bar but there is a waiter service. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were lovely and friendly.
There could have been more help on getting a taxi. Other hotels we have been to they have an arrangement with a taxi rank who pick up hotel guests. We tried Uber, but they didn't turn up, only to be told by the hotel they don't work in that area anyway and wouldn't be worth their while! We lost our reservation then. Apart from this we would still return to the hotel.

Breakfast was delicious. Room was quirky and nicely decorated. Maxi’s bar in the garden was amazing. Street food at Maxi’s bar also delicious.
Lovely old building. But we were top floor in the eaves, and had to bend constantly to walk anywhere, the door to the actual room was tiny. This was annoying and uncomfortable, and I would have liked to know before booking. Bed was also a small double. Not what I expect for £365 for one Saturday night - this was disappointing. Also check in - reception was unstaffed when we arrived (at check in time). Took quite a while for anyone to realise we wanted to check in.

The location was beautiful . The hotel is in the centre. Other locations were easy to travel to by car.
If you are on a budget, you need to shop around when eating out.Examples of this are a full English breakfast in the Dial is now £21.50 per head. 2 scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone £5 in all nearby outlets. Finally we were allocated room 7 ,a garden room in the Dial. This room we found a bit snug. We are not large people and you couldn't pass one another around the bed space.
