Location was very good in front of a lovely garden square and only 10 minutes walk into town. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Very supportive with parking my larger vehicle. The lady on reception had saved me a large space and let me park there for a few hours the following day after we had checked out so we could have a look around the rest of the Jazz Festival. Nice little bar area downstairs that was very much appreciated when we arrived back later that evening. Very comfortable bed and large bedroom with lovely view of the gardens.

The only disappointment despite a very nice stay was the breakfast. It was a very limited offering and the poached eggs on toast I ordered were ruined and not soft. The small bowl of fresh fruit looked past its best. I am not a big coffee drinker but love a cappuccino when away with breakfast. Unfortunately there was only filter coffee available.

The breakfast was amazing. Good choice and excellent food. Service was also excellent. I used to live in Cheltenham,many years ago and considered the Montpelier restaurants to be the best so we had dinner there. In hindsight I wish we had tried dinner at this hotel based on the breakfast experience. Next visit we will do that.

I realise the hotel was built many years ago and the owners have modernised it tastefully. We just struggled with space to put the cases. It would have been nice to have bottled water in the rooms and decaffeinated tea as well as decaff coffee.

On arrival there was plenty of parking and we were upgraded to the Executive room with garden view, this is always a plus. Mini bar was included and the location was perfect with just a 5 minute walk into town with plenty of shops and restaurants.

Wifi was touch and go, always had full bars but sometimes had to come off wifi especially when in the room. Great connection and speed when it worked, we wasn’t there for business so this didn’t really bother us, but could affect other guests. Through no fault of the hotel, the room above us was very noisy and on the final day was awake from approximately 4am. I’d say there was something loose rattling in our room (I believe it’s the sash window) which didn’t help with the noisy guests upstairs.

I loved the friendly family vibe but with a bit of class and chic - I stayed as I was looking for somewhere pet friendly, so it was a good atmosphere having some other guests with dogs - I think it makes the whole experience more inclusive, warm and inviting. The staff were really friendly, and helpful. The location was great, quiet with a nice little park on the doorstep, very posh area and loved it.

Parking was a bit cramped but that's not something unfortunately the owners can expand.

Easy to get to, clean comfortable room, good shower room very clean. A good breakfast choice. Well cooked . Welcoming friendly staff. Carparking on site although was charged at additional £10.

Disappointed to find on checking in that the swimming pool was not on site but in a different location. Maybe partly our fault for not fully reading all the information on the facilities when booking. However it states on the 1st page indoor swimming pool, which we thought meant it was within the hotel premises. We didn't use this facility because we felt uncomfortable using a swimming pool within a gym environment.

I wanted a hotel within walking distance of the Everyman Theatre in the town centre, where I had booked to see an evening show. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the theatre. It is located in a quiet street and there is a small park across the road from it. There is some on-site parking available and a large NCP car park a few minutes walk away. The hotel was clean and the rooms were well-equipped. Staff were friendly. Food was good.

There was nothing not to like about it as far as I was concerned.

The staff are always excellent and do whatever they can to improve your stay. Breakfast was absolutely delicious again. The location is perfect right on the edge of the brewery quarter, but still on a quiet, leafy square.

The only minor thing was that our room was very hot, even without any heating on. I think the central heating pipes run upstairs behind a panel, which generates a lot of heat. As it was ground floor with an old sash window, you don't really want to leave the window open.

The Clarence Court hotel is an old building, full of character. The location is great - only a ten minute walk into the centre of Cheltenham. The staff are very friendly and cannot do enough to help.

On the ground floor, one can hear everything going on outside in the corridor (and presumably this occurs the other way round as well). The room wasn't super clean when we arrived, including the toilet which had marks from the previous occupant on for several days (despite me mentioning this to the staff).

We loved our stay at Clarence Court, it was on the side of a quiet little square turning left out of the hotel it was a10 mins walk into Cheltenham High Street, turning right out of the hotel takes you to a lovely park. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and was so delicious. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. I loved Wellington the room guard 😊 who welcomed us on arrival in our room. Room was clean and spacious and it was lovely to have a bath and separate shower in the bathroom. Was a bonus to have free parking

Situated in a quiet square, just a 10 minute walk from the Promenade shops, bars and restaurants, this was the perfect location for us. Car parking with access to EV charging - the latter being very popular. Breakfast was excellent.

Not really a dislike, but the hotel might need to increase its EV charging if our overnight stay was typical - we saw at least 4 cars use the charger between our arrival and departure
