Very friendly staff and great welcoming on arrival. The rooms and beds were comfortable, was worried about sleeping above the pub/restaurant and on main road as I am a light sleeper...did'nt hear a thing and had a great quality sleep each night. The location was great too for visiting scenic areas, close to Stroud and good place to stop on route to Bath. The food in the restaurant, we ate there both nights, was excellent. Quality delicious food cooked by an excellent chef. Very pleased we booked there, two friends with two small dogs....the fire escape led directly onto a small same level garden that we could easily take the dogs out onto...when we needed to pop out with them..though needed their leads. Will be returning! 😊

There was nothing we did'nt like but these things might be great to add...only small recommendations... It would of been nice to have a welcome pack of treats, biscuits or prosecco....we've had at other places but guess the price goes up then... An extra toilet roll...as I always bring an extra & we used it... Shelf in the shower to put shampoo & conditioner on. A new universal phone charger socket....as I forgot to bring my adapter. A bigger bin in the toilet.

This cozy and beautiful apartment had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the location was excellent for our needs since we were exploring Cotswold villages and towns. The apartment had free parking right next to the building.

The apartment is on the second floor of the Old Fleece pub. To access this apartment, you need to go through the pub. We had no problem with that since we did not have any small children, but I can imagine that it might be inconvenient for some families.

The comfort and homliness of the accommodation

Better instructions for electric hob. We couldn’t fathom it out, were too tired to go downstairs, so missed out on our vegetables! Didn’t like the lack of hand rail going up to bedrooms. Older visitors need to feel secure using stairs Couldn’t work out how the fan worked in bathroom so it was full of steam and damp Larger teapot would have been appreciated - we like our tea! Suggest laminated instructions for using coffee maker near to machine. Poor TV reception - kept on dying on us! In the middle of Downton Abbey episode we had not seen🤨

Lovely clean apartment,easy check in loved the layout had everything inside we needed loved the upstairs bedrooms very warm we went to the downstairs pub and had a meal staff were really friendly and helpful with anything needed with our apartment loved all the cute dogs just chilling in there very pet friendly and plenty of parking spaces also a direct bus route no 40 from Stroud town centre drops you right outside,great atmosphere would definitely like to stay again if we are in that area again

Noisy but it is above a pub so to be expected. Coffee machine milk frother didn’t work, bathroom door didn’t shut, door to get back in to property with code wouldn’t open. All highlighted to staff as they asked for feedback when I left so I am sure will all be sorted. Recommendation is an information sheet in the room about wifi code, the door code, where the taking dog area is.

I quite often have overnight stays in different areas and this one is by far the best that I have stayed at. Although I did not need to use all the facilities provided it far exceeded anything else that I have stayed at

Very very minor comment that it would be useful if the lights for the stairs switched on late in the evening as I took my dog out last thing and could have done with it then. I have only made this comment as you are pressing me to fill this in.

First time we've ever stayed here and honestly we couldn't have asked for more we was travelling and staying for a family wedding, the staff accommodated us so well they allowed us to check in much earlier than was stated , the whole apartment is beautiful and very clean ❤️

Nothing no negative points at all

The 2 bedroom apt over 2 floors (above the pub) was well-designed, nicely furnished & comfortable. The master bedroom is HUGE!

The car park facilities were next to the pub, only few mins walk. We didn’t have lots of heavy baggage so it was fine. The garden is shared access, again that didn’t matter to us. The mattress in master bedroom was going to be changed I believe (it affected our sleep on both nights). The kitchen was missing a tin opener, I informed the house keeper.

Lovely appartment and great value for money. A good base from which to explore the local area. Based above a pub so what is not to like. Staff super friendly. Good food served and a nice pint of beer. Room super clean and lots of space for three people and a dog.

Of two double beds in our appartment one was old and lumpy and needs replacing. The other was excellent. You can hear the traffic from the main road and if you are a light sleeper you might find it annoying ( I didnt) Also our appartment would not suit a family with young children as its not child proof or adults who find stairs hard to climb. Finally there is parking but if the pub is busy you might find it hard to get a space. Dont however let these minor issues put you off.....its a great place to stay

Lovely apartment for my partner, 8year old and our dog, The apartment was bigger than expected both rooms were roomy with double beds and nice draws for belongings. The down stairs was perfect size with a lovely kitchen area. Lovely shared garden with plenty of room for my very active springer to jump and run about. I especially liked how homely it was and I really wasn’t expecting it to be that homely. We are looking to book again as soon as we can.

We didn’t like having to leave just after two days would definitely loved to have stayed longer.
