Our stay at Burleigh Court Hotel was truly flawless. We booked a ‘Cosy Room’ however it exceeded our expectations as we had a bedroom & a lounge/living room area joined. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and you can use the Pool (although freezing) and Hot tub for free. We also ate at their A La Carte restaurant (recommend prior booking- esp on weekends) and our meal was fabulous. We shared the Chateaubriand steak which my Boyfriend declared as the best meal he’s had in ages! The breakfast also exceeded expectation & was of high quality. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Cotswolds- we will be back in the future :) Thanks.

Although this place had minimal faults, I’d just say that the bathroom was outdated- we struggled with water pressure in the shower, however not bad enough to cause a fuss!

I was driving home from Bristol and my sat nav took me through back roads to avoid several accidents on the M5, it was late and getting dark, I nearly got run off the road by a crazy driver and I pulled over in the parking lot of Morrisons in Nailsworth and got on booking.com to find somewhere. The Burleigh Court hotel came up and it was sort of close and looked safe so I went and man am I happy I did. Finding the property was hard but worth it. The coach house I was settled into was a haven and the lady at the front desk greeted me like family. I felt immediately cared for.

I had to leave and I arrived so late in the evening. I wish I could have stayed to enjoy the property more.

The surroundings are fantastic. We went for a long walk in the area and the hotel provided us with a helpful map. The food was very good! We were very pleased with our hotel room.

The cleanliness could have been better. Empty glasses everywhere. The pool was far from clean. A possibility to buy lighter snacks from the bar would have been appreciated since stores are far away. Also a heads-up that you need to pre-book taxis when leaving would have been good, it seemed like they weren’t used to people not coming in their own car.

Delightful welcome from very interesting lady at reception. Beautiful bedroom (lovely garden view), restaurant, lounge, bar etc. Astonishingly delicious, artistic evening meal - certainly Michelin standard, with excellent attentive service. Charming, cosy furnishings, wall art, etc. Welcome warmth throughout the hotel on a cold day. Sauna terrific (more lights please). Overall: excellent standards, very carefully thought through but with a light touch & consistently managed. Could hardly have been better. Thank you so much

The hotel is an attractive Cotswold stone building with sweeping views over the valley. It has a very comfortable, large terrace and lots of other places to sit in the large gardens. It is beautifully furnished and the staff are lovely. We would definitely return.

We had a large, comfortable bedroom but the bathroom was down two steep steps which wasn't ideal.

Loved pretty much everything

We booked the restaurant for dinner but we were told the menu had changed and we wasn’t happy about what was on offer. We then saw people on an “anniversary” dinner and they had the normal menu. We were also on an anniversary getaway. Would have been nice to have options. Also, an AC unit would have been nice.

Our stay at the Burleigh Court Hotel exceeded the (already high) expectations we had for our trip to the Cotswolds. The location is stunning, the staff was very friendly and helpfull with good suggestions for local activities and places to go to. The gardens and many places to sit are superb. We can highly recommend this hotel for your trip to the Cotswolds

Building is beautiful. Room was fantastic. Choices on furniture and decoration were very good. Staff were all very friendly. The food at the hotel was excellent, including the breakfast and dinner. The dining room is a beautiful wood-panelled room with lovely views over the local area. Very romantic in the evening.

Very little to NOT like.

Fantastic hotel in the Cotswolds. Just what we wanted in a lovely location. The breakfast was great and the chefs were very accommodating to us being vegan. Spa facilities were good, however I don't think we realised that the pool was unheated till we got there!

Honestly nothing, it was just what we wanted for a weekend in the countryside.

The surroundings and views are superb, the gardens and different areas magical, the pool a little gem; there is great attention to details throughout the property, inside and out. I very much liked the Italianate theme and winks to the 1920s. Wendy, at front desk, and Jonathan (everywhere!) were very helpful and cordial. I enjoyed the food, and the gluten-free options were nice. Afternoon tea was a lovely a mix of traditional and ... Italian, enjoyed on the terrace with stupendous views.

Some of the staff were not so pleasant (at breakfast) and some were inexperienced, but nice. The location really requires a car. The taxi situation in Stroud, from the train station, is impossible. Wendy was most helpful, sending a very kind sous-chef to the rescue, otherwise I'd have been stranded. The train station is hard to negotiate with larger luggage, with two flights of stairs to negotiate to go up over the tracks and down on the other side in order to exit. I do not recommend going by train with anything other than light luggage, and do reserve your taxi well ahead of time. There are supposed to be some, but they are not always there, as happened in my case.
