The interiors are dreamy and the spa facilities were great. We stayed for my birthday and I was spoilt with a few treats and lots of birthday wishes! The grounds are lovely to walk around, we didn’t feel like we needed to leave for anything. The food was delicious too!

Perhaps the welcome email could have been a bit more friendly and less listing the rules in capital letters and threat of charge for loosing the room key… seemed a little negative!

Lovely entrance and lead up to the front of the hotel. Friendly staff at reception. Room was great and everything was there that we needed. Dinner was good we enjoyed. One gripe was the 10 ice cubes in a coke. Breakfast ticked the box as well. Sausage and bacon was a bit tough. Great croissants! Grounds were lovely we had a walk around and sat and enjoyed the view overlooking by the Lake. Would come back again for sure.

The staff were all very friendly and professional. The hotel was beautiful and the grounds were very pretty. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. The spa was amazing. We both enjoyed a relaxing swim. The staff in the spa were very welcoming. I would have liked to have booked a treatment but we were only there for 1 night. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was nice that they allow dogs in the hotel and rooms.

I did not like the prices of the drinks they were very expensive and with the service charge of 12.5% to go on top that was also a little bit of a shock.

The rooms were very airless.. it was stifling even without the heating on. We both found it hard to sleep

A Memorable Stay with Some Opportunities for Improvement We recently had the pleasure of staying and, overall, had a wonderful experience. There are so many positives, from the beautifully designed interiors to the fantastic food and drink offerings, but a few areas could be refined to truly elevate the experience. (Room was Wildflower with Terrace) Food – 7/10 The roast and bar food were exceptional, and some of the starters were truly memorable. However, we found a bit of inconsistency, with some dishes not quite meeting expectations. For example, the muffins with split, overly acidic hollandaise were disappointing, but the burger and other offerings were excellent. A bit more consistency across the board would make the dining experience even better. Drink – 9/10 Cocktails were outstanding, and the wine selection was impressive overall. A sommelier on hand could enhance the wine experience further, helping guests make the perfect pairing choices. Spa – 8/10 The indoor swimming pool was fantastic, though we were surprised to find the outdoor pool unheated, which was a little disappointing as we had been looking forward to a swim outside. While the poolside area is well-designed, the beds could be cleaner, and more frequent towel refreshes would enhance the luxury feel. Room – 9/10 The interiors are beautifully designed, with a strong focus on comfort, particularly the large bed and bath, which made for a very relaxing stay. A few functional tweaks here and there could make the space even more seamless. Grounds & Interior Design – 9/10 The hotel’s aesthetics are stunning, and we truly couldn’t ask for much more. A few areas are starting to show some wear, but this is understandable and doesn’t take away from the overall ambiance. Service – 7/10 The staff were warm and welcoming, which we truly appreciated.

Food in general and spa were excellent. All staff went above and beyond, and were very attentive. Liked the open fire in the public space and bar.

Decor in the hotel and rooms was more elegant and tasteful when the hotel and spa originally opened. Is now a little bit tired in places and too busy on the eye - not as restful and chic as it was previously. Heating wasn't working properly in many of the rooms and public spaces. This should be mended before guests arrive. The staff were valiantly doing the absolute best they could under the circumstances, but it felt as though perhaps they were not being supported by higher management.

Beautiful interior design, clean and comfortable and substantial rooms. Cocktail menu was interesting. Beautiful grounds. Very accommodating for dogs in their stable rooms. Buffet section of breakfast was one of the best have ever had

Spa disappointing - very busy even for a Sunday night. hard to get a spot by the pool. Spa also seemed to be used by local swimmers for exercise which made it very noisy and unrelaxing. Hotel was lovely but felt more like we were in a hotel in London than in the Cotswolds. Felt quite unrelaxed and pretentious for a hotel in the countryside. This did not detract from our stay but i feel it’s a notable difference compared to the local competitors of the hotel

The hotel is truly beautiful. Located in a tranquil and peaceful countryside, but not far from some of the most beautiful towns in the Cotswolds. The hotel staff is extremely friendly, from the check in to the check out. Everyone genuinely smiled to us, serving and helping us in the most polite and friendly manner. The decor of the hotel is quirky, but we very much liked the contrast of old and new and felt very comfortable in this modern design. Our room was very pretty too, especially the massively oversized bathroom. I can truly recommend the hotel.

The hotel tries to attract people from the outside with some regular events like outdoor cinema or pool parties. The idea is great, but it can get a bit crowded and noisy. However, it adds to the young and fresh vibe of this hotel.

Beautiful rooms well laid out and a bit quirky and fun. Service from every member of staff was friendly and immediate. They honestly couldn’t do enough to help. From early breakfast to urgent cups of teas. To scones at 6 pm when service had ended at 4. Dinner in the dining room was very good - fresh veggies from the ample garden - and all the seperate rooms to lounge and read, play pool or chess made for a relaxing break.

Really need a laundry service or access to a bag wash service as the hotel is quite isolated. My room in the stables was quite dark. Atmospheric yes. But figuring out my blacks from my dark navy clothes was a tad tricky.
