Breakfast was excellent and comprehensive in the variety of food , Steak night : The meal was superb and more than met our expectations in taste and value although they had run out of Rib Eye fairly early in the evening The garden setting was a very relaxing area ( helped by the good weather ) and enjoyed by many so seating was in high demand . The staff were attentive and friendly in all areas of their work

The hotel is very popular to outsiders coming in and led to it being difficult as residents to get seating in the garden during the afternoon . That was partly due to the exceptional weather but getting the priorities right is necessary to keep everyone happy.

The welcome was warm and friendly. Rooms were incredibly well styled, while each room was unique and had it's own little quirks. This is definitely not a 'corporate' type hotel ,with each room the same. The public areas were comfortable and well laid out and the garden is a real bonus when the weather allows use - which it did for all of our stay. We ate dinner there the first night and the food was excellent, as were the breakfasts. So everything was great - but what about the service? Well that was also excellent! Everyone was great but I will single out Liv for not only being great at her job but for also having a wonderful sense of humour. I highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

It was all great - no negatives - unless you count a missing sausage from my husband's breakfast one morning. Since he didn't care, why should we?

Probably the best hotel experience I’ve ever had (and I travel a lot!) Myself & my sister took our Gran here for a trip (following losing our grandad) and wanted it to be really special & it literally went above and beyond any of our expectations. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be there and nothing was too much for them. The property itself is beautiful, it’s situated in the main area of Tetbury and easy to walk to everything. Once you walk through the building it has beautiful large gardens with deckchairs and a water fountain, where we spent the afternoon relaxing after exploring. All the wait staff were checking if we needed anything (without being annoying)! We also ate dinner there that night and the restaurant again was amazing! Our server was so helpful and offered recommendations and was chatty - the decor is also so nice and I loved the dog themed art work that was displayed around the hotel. The room and bed was also amazing - the bed was insanely comfy and the bathroom decor was soooo nice! The shower was easy to use (my 94 year old gran even said she found it easy!) the breakfast the next morning was delicious too! There’s a buffet of cold items and then also you can order hot things too! The manager (I think it was) was such a nice man and he went out of his way to help us when we needed a taxi to highgrove. I cannot thank the staff enough or recommend this hotel enough! Thank you!!!

I loved everything.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, central to all the shops and restaurants. It is beautifully decorated and the facilities such as the restaurant, bar and guest sitting room were all lovely. The garden was much larger than we were expecting for a town centre property and its setting is pretty and well maintained. There’s plenty of garden seating available, tables and chairs, benches and deck chairs. The staff were welcoming and friendly and we were shown all the hotel facilities before being shown to our room. The room was a standard room and although smaller than we were expecting, was adequate for our needs. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious.

Car parking is on a first come first served basis and we were unable to park in a space on arrival. We later found a space when we revisited the car park to check. The reception is not always manned and we had to search for someone to help us on a couple of occasions, one of which was at check out when the hotel should expect it to be busy. Maybe they are understaffed?

We stayed at the hotel as we were doing a garden tour of Highgrove - the hotel is close by (by car). The hotel itself is very charming and we were really impressed by the staff. With the exception of one team member, they could not have been more welcoming and friendly. We had dinner in the hotel (there was an allowance with the deal we booked). The food was wonderful - so nice to stay somewhere that offered a seasonal and rather special menu. The same could be said for breakfast - just that bit different. We will be going back for sure, just hope not too many people find out about it! Our room was beautifully comfortable as well.

Not so much that we didn't like it but we did have a room on the 2nd floor and the stairs from the 1st to the 2nd where rather steep. My sister at 80 would not be able to do them.

A wonderful place to stay. The hotel staff were delightful and friendly. Check in was easy as you complete pre check in before you arrive. The hotel was dog friendly. The hotel gardens are exceptional. We were lucky with the weather, so sitting in the garden with a pre dinner drink was lovely. Our dinner and breakfast was really well presented and tasty. Our room for 1 night was well equipped and tasteful. We would visit again.

There was a small issue with the dog breakfast offer. This was resolved by the hotel quickly and evidence that they take customer experience seriously.

The hotel is in a great location, with a small garden and parking. The staff are excellent and attentive. The breakfast was very good and perfectly cooked. plenty of choice. We ate at the hotel one evening and enjoyed the food and wine. pricey but good quality with wonderful service.

If you are coming with a dog there are limited places to dine, only in the bar and public spaces. There is not a space in the dining room which overlooks the garden. In the warmer weather I expect people with dogs sit in the garden. The wardrobe was difficult to access as it was a cupboard under the eaves.

The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment I stepped in the door, carrying my bags and showing me to my room. The room itself was gorgeously decorated and spotless, the attention to detail was faultless. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well, little to no noise from other rooms. I went to the restaurant for dinner on my first night and the food was exceptional, the waiters were helpful and informative about the food and the atmosphere in the dinning room was lovely. Breakfast again was delicious, plenty of choice for any dietary requirement and the staff were friendly and on top of everything. The team are a well-oiled machine! I have loved my stay and only wish I could have stayed longer, I will definitely be back in the future!

No complaints whatsoever.

The hotel was a beautiful, historic building centrally located in picturesque Tetbury. It was sympathetically decorated, rooms were spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. All of the staff were welcoming and helpful. Drinks on the terrace in the afternoon sunshine were a great treat, the pretty gardens so peaceful. The food was excellent throughout with a good choice of fresh food at breakfast and a wide and interesting menu for dinner, all beautifully cooked. The deal for our stay was exceptionally good value and we shall certainly visit again.

Nothing!

Beautiful period property, lovely decor. We stayed in nightingale, we had a lovely view over the garden. The room was stunning and the bathroom was huge. Very clean We were there for a birthday celebration, the staff were very kind and they left a card and brought a cake with a glass of fizz, which was a lovely extra touch Great value, we stayed on a half board basis

We also had lunch there on arrival, the staff were off hand and there were a couple of minor errors. I was concerned this was going to be an issue for the rest of our stay …. thankfully the rest of the stay was fine
