Good location, spacious room, comfortable bed, lovely breakfast

The decor was a bit tired, particularly the bathroom. The flush didn't work very well. Some of the staff didn't present themselves very well, but the waiting staff were very good. At £220 per night we expected luxury but we're disappointed

A wonderful old establishment with charm, history and character set right in the middle of the town. Unsurpassed service by Steve and Chris and a varied menu which was delicious and hot!

We had a very small room with a tiny bathroom which we found it difficult to navigate into the shower cubicle. In fairness, it was advertised as 'Compact' but it was reflected in the price we paid. Unfortunately, as they were booked out, we were unable to upgrade but it worked out fine , allowing us to spend more in the bar and lovely restaurant.

The staff were super friendly and made you feel so very welcome. The service was fast, friendly and professional but with a welcoming vibe. The rooms were cleaned to a very good standard and refreshed daily.

Cooked breakfast availability started from 8 which felt a little late for a work focused stay. However there was cereal, juice. continental breakfast available beforehand which was good.

On arrival the staff were eager to help and were always courteous and professional . We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent. the room was very comfortable, spotless and even had a jacuzzi! All in all a pleasant stay and will return. Also right in the centre of the town.

Really cute room in a lovely location And really liked the furnishings I read that some people say it’s dated but I really liked the look of the room. It felt like appropriate for the age of the building and I love the little window seat felt very quaint!

The bed wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve slept in it was but could just be personal preference!

Lovely hotel and restaurant in an old character building right in heart of the small town. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. I was travelling alone but felt totally safe. They delivered a great evening meal to my room, nothing was too much trouble. Even though I had booked a standard value room, it was still nice and comfortable with everything I needed for my stay and at a good price. Would recommend and would stay here again.

The room was large and comfortable with all the facilities you would expect. It was at the back of the hotel with no view, but for only one night it was alright. Breakfast was good. Public pay as you go car parking was nearby and very reasonable for value. Great location right in the centre of town.

For a one night stay there was nothing I could fault the hotel on.

Easy to book in, rooms ready when we arrived, good sized rooms, bit more character than your average travel-lodge. Enjoyed the breakfast, staff friendly and helpful. Great location in the center of town really nice small Hotel.

We booked two rooms the one at the back of the hotel had a slight a musty smell from the carpet but this cleared on opening the window.

Lovely decor and fantastic that the public car park is so close. The staff are excellent ambassadors for the Snooty Fox ,welcoming and friendly. We will definitely stay here again when breaking the long journey to Cornwall and will recommend to our friends.

The bedrooms are a little tired but only sleep in them so no issue at all

In the heart of the town with public parking nearby. Active and lively hotel, teas on the porch, bar, restaurant meals all well supported. Interesting room of style in keeping with country hotel. Supplies of coffee etc, soap etc.
