View from the pub garden was lovely! Room was delightful in the old stables and very quiet (could have been noisy if garden closure at 10pm not 'enforced' but all was well) Great location in the town centre - and what a very friendly town! Bar and waitress staff were excellent.
Some milk in the room - and maybe a biscuit for weary travellers - would have been nice (but I could have asked!) I had not realised that there was no breakfast in the price or that the reception was not open until 10am. Very good nearby cafes though. We had dinner which was fun in a very lively bar. One of us had beef stew and mash - which would have been suitable as baby food or for a very elderly person with no teeth! It was not as on the menu outside the pub either. Really this was awful. (The entrance to the car park was rather hair raising but its an old property and having a car park is always a bonus!) Security - there were steep steps at the end of the garden and access to the town other properties - I think if alone I may have been a bit anxious about security.

The location was very close to an event that we were attending in the town. Parking is difficult in the town centre but the hotel did have a carpark at the park though a narrow driveway. We had to put in the car side mirrors and hope for the best when getting in and out. The room was basic but had everything we needed. The staff were great, especially the guy who was on the evening shirt who went above and beyond to sort out an issue with the TV.
There is no breakfast facilities although a couple of cafes within walking distance sorted out thus issue.

Very nice old pub in a lovely and central location. Staff welcoming, friendly, and efficient. Beer good, enjoyable and not expensive food. Our room was off the car park/ courtyard so very convenient for luggage, and with no stairs.
Our room was called "superior" and was clean and tidy with a good shower, but quite small. It seemed designed for very tall people though, with mirrors and wash basin quite high up the wall. The bed was also quite high. My partner kept banging her head on the TV. Breakfast is not available, but there is at least one nearby place which serves good breakfasts, though it was busy and we had a very long wait there. I'll be happy to go back.

Beautiful modern room, warm and with a comfortable bed. Good lighting - we both like to read. At rear of pub, so quiet. Very pleasant staff. Conveniently located in a lovely town.
The room was not serviced during two night stay, so tea and coffee not renewed. This meant we had just four coffee pods and four milk pots for two people over two days, which is quite stingy. Couldn’t make tea as no more milk. I don’t like Tassimo coffee makers as the waste coffee pods are environmentally unfriendly, and there was no alternative. Instructions for the machine might have helped - had to Google how to use it. For room only (there are convenient cafes nearby for breakfast) I thought it a bit expensive. Food in the pub was very tasty, but portion size was small. We’re both in our 60s, so not big eaters, but our tagines left us feeling unsatisfied, and we didn’t appreciate the loud amplified live music, which prevented conversation. Even the staff were shouting over it.

Close to town hall and town center amenities. Good check-in experience. I was able to keep my bike in my room (arranged in advance) as it was ground floor, directly accessible from the outside and laminate flooring. Good heating in the room (which was necessary!)
Check out at 10:30am is too early at weekends. And when I did check out and try to return the key I couldn't because reception was locked.

the location was just right as we had to go out for breakfast there is good choice in the town. the staff where very helpful especially guiding our car through the court yard entrance it was a bit tight. We tried the tapas and it was excellent . a very comfortable inn.
nothilng really it provided you with everything you needed for a short stay. perhaps better weather so we could sat outside outside.

We loved our stay. They have done a fantastic job of modernising a building that is really old. We were astounded that on a very busy Friday night in the bar we couldn't hear any of the hubbub in our room. The food and staff were great....and although the turn in to the pub car park was disconcertingly tight, it can be done, and some quite large vehicles had managed it; very much worth it for the location right in the centre of such a lovely market town. I mustn't forget to mention the fantastic view from the beer garden!
There was nothing we didn't like!

Beautiful location, lovely room. I wasn't expecting car parking as the advert didn't say included parking, I was pleased it was available, however see my other note.
The gap to the car park is very narrow, I damaged the wingmirror on my car because it's so tight. The light from the WiFi disk was really bright and this disturbed my sleep.

It was a lovely old fashioned building with huge sash windows and a good view of the town. The bed was very comfortable wth the nice touch of two decent pillows and a large soft cushion for each person. Toiletries and tea making facilities
The floor was split level with two steps down from one half to thex ower half. They were not hlghlighted and were easy to miss. It was room only. Breakfast was not an option.

Friendly staff, location, good food for lunch. Rooms were recently renovated. We were in room 3 above the bar at the front of the hotel overloooking Malmesbury High Street. As a base to attend a concert at Westonbirt Arboretum it worked very well. Parking available in the rear of the hotel, getting to it via a narrow access arch.
Rooms in the main building are small but very comfortable so opt for ones in the extension at the back if you want more space. No breakfast options in the hotel in the hotel but good options in The Summer Cafe opposite or at Jackdaws Cafe close by in the Town Hall.
