Lovely property in a bucolic setting. Helpful and friendly hosts. Excellent if you have a dog(s), you'll fit right in. Great pub nearby for locals and newcomers alike serving tasty authentic Indian food. We came in chilly, damp February and it was still enjoyable, but in Spring/Summer it would really come into its own.

Not much. Breakfast was good but could have been a little larger - all options of cooked, toast, cereal etc were available though. The owners have a successful local granola and muesli business - forthaygranola.co.uk (we weren't paid to plug this) - so we bought a packet and are looking forward to trying some at home.

Owners were very friendly and welcoming, along with their dogs and very chilled cat. The b&b is certainly dog friendly. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Location was very pretty and beautifully quiet.

I was a little dismayed to find I couldn't shut my bedroom door (the door is very old and twisted). Although there was a catch on the outside of the door, there was nothing on the inside so I had to prop it shut with a bag. I was worried my two dogs staying with me in the room might decide to go exploring in the middle of the night - although thankfully they behaved themselves.

Loved the cute attic room and homemade granola at breakfast. I stayed on my own, but the set up of the attic room with twin beds on opposite sides of the room each with its own comfy chair would make this an ideal room for friends sharing a room). Attentive host responded immediately when I messaged after booking/apple maps sent me to the wrong location (if walking from the pub and Apple Maps indicates a house on the right, keep walking, it’s really bit further on the left ).

Everything was nice.

We stayed at Forthray B&B while walking the Cotswolds Way. The location was brilliant, right on the route, Charles was very friendly and an excellent host. We had the room right at the top of the house, two single beds, mattresses were a bit too soft for me but that is a preference not a critisism, very small shower but we were only there for 1 night so it didn't matter. Very quiet, good breakfast. Beautiful House with plenty of lovely touches. Would recommend

Nothing really

We received an outstanding welcome from Charles and the property was stunning, in a gorgeous location. The house was spotlessly clean and the bedding and pillows were very comfortable indeed.

I did like the room we stayed in, at the top of the house, which was clean and warm. It had no wardrobe (which was fine for our quick overnight stop) but might be more difficult for a longer stay if you had more clothing with you.

Lovely farmhouse, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Room was spacious and well-planned out to accommodate us and the dog. Breakfast was lovely except we found it rather strange that the granola was already portioned out into the bowl. However, it was delicious and I'm sure the host would have provided a second helping if we had asked.

The temperature hit 7C and there was no heating in the bathroom so rather cold to take showers.

Lovely location and friendly people, the muesli and granola made on the premises was amazing and we both bought some to take home.

The coffee at breakfast was brought in mugs already with milk in, and he didn't ask if we wanted milk, the mugs didn't look that clean. The floor in front of our shower was rotted through, felt in danger of putting foot through it.

The breakfast was excellent. I would have liked fresh fruit to have been on offer but otherwise good The beds were very comfortable

Any problems arose because of the age of the house eg steep narrow stairs, no ensuite. The location was very peaceful and rural but made it hard to find each time round very narrow lanes.

Beautiful property, loved the decor and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in! Evening meal and breakfast were lovely, delicious local products and Charles was a very helpful host with directing us where to go on walks nearby

No fault of the host but unfortunately there were electrical issues which meant there was no hot water in the morning for a nice shower (shame as it was lovely and powerful just freezing!) Power also was tripping in the evening so lamps in the room and charging sockets didn’t work initially but did come back on quite late in the night Garden lovely but do watch step as there is dog mess around - I did read this in a previous review so knew to look out as I needed to walk my dog around the garden

Lovely, quietly located and historic house. Charles our host was charming, came out to greet us on arrival and also carried my case upstairs! Comfortable beds, tasty breakfast (with lots of options) and great service. Humphrey their elderly cat earns extra extra stars for tolerating unlimited cuddles.
