I absolutely loved my stay at Grove Farm. I was looked after so generously with pots of tea in front of roaring wood fires and delicious breakfasts. The walk from the farm to the viewpoint was beautiful and peaceful and not even the drizzle nor the lack if view could dampen my enjoyment. Thank you to David and Penny. I'd return in a heartbeat.

Nothing about the b&b. The track up to the farm is quite rough!

The location provides a beautiful view and you are surrounded by nature at its best. The house is quirky and comfortable. The owners welcomed us and could not have been more accommodating, providing for our dietary needs and cooking spectacularly tasty breakfasts (devilled kidneys and smoked kippers were delicious). They were always on hand if we needed anything but left us to ourselves in our own part of the house (living room, bedroom and garden). Their dogs were very friendly and the owners checked that we were ok with them before allowing them to hang around with us (we love dogs). If you want peace and quiet and a comfortable place to relax with amazing breakfasts, I highly recommend this lovely home.

Everything was good.

If you want to get off-grid, this is the place for you. Old farm building that immediately reminded me of "Far From The Madding Crowd". Modernised but still has kept all the charm of a farm with huge rooms, gardens and amazing rural countryside. Perfect if you wanted peace to complete writing a novel or your memoirs!

The farm road is a bit of an adventure. Not suitable for a low-slung sporty rental car! Okay if you have a Land Rover or similar vehicle, that loves to handle rough tracks!

We loved everything - Penny and David were wonderful hosts and the B&B is gorgeous. Beautiful views from every angle, ample parking and a perfectly cooked breakfast each morning. We would often get back after a day out to a fresh pot of tea and delicious homemade cakes. We stayed as a family exploring the Forest of Dean. The location was perfect with direct access to the A48. We were able to store our bikes in the barn while we weren't using them which was an added bonus. Beds were super comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed. We will definitely stay again in the future!

Breakfast was more than sufficient. Everything very fresh and tasty and a good choice. The Farm house was wonderfully quirky and looked beautiful with the xmas decorations enhancing the ambiance. Penny and her husband were more than helpful. Beds were very clean and comfortable.

It would have been nice to have a tv in our room but it wasn't a deal breaker. It would also have been nice to have a shower attached to the wall as I can't sit in a bath.

Breakfast was delicious and provided in a lovely drawing room. I had Smoked salmon and very fresh local eggs, and good coffee from amongst an assortment of other choices. The hosts were very welcoming. The farm had two lovely dogs and is surrounded by beautiful countryside views. The building is hundreds of years old with gorgeous original timber beams and fireplaces.

I loved the place very much. It's far enough off of the main road to get a lovely sense of isolation. Surrounded by nature which as a bird watcher I enjoyed greatly. The bedroom was very comfortable and the breakfast tasty.

Being a bit isolated it's best to plan ahead if you require an evening meal.

Grove B&B is a terrific place. It's a very old building with large wooden beams, and not an even floorboard anywhere. That, together with the adventurous driveway (which I wouldn't advice to use with a sports car, but even our crappy little French hire car did it just fine), added to the feeling of seclusion and remoteness, which was very relaxing. However, modern comfort like WIFI and a good shower was all there. Penny and David were extremely hospitable, breakfast was excellent, there was a comfortable lounge for relaxing after a days' worth of outings. The bed was very comfortable, I slept like a log. The Forest of Dean and the River Severn are a beautiful area.

Everything - Penny and David are very friendly and accommodating hosts. Our room was comfortable with a good powerful shower in the ensuite. There is a large separate lounge for guests, leading on to the garden. Delicious breakfast. Loved the dogs and the family atmosphere. Superb view and surrounding countryside.

The farm was beautiful. Peaceful with stunning grounds. Loved our beds and rooms. The owners greeted us with a warm welcome and content convivial conversation which made us feel at ease straight away. The added cherry on top was the quality of our wonderful breakfast. Local produce, homemade jams honey and butter on fresh baked breads. The eggs and meats also were delicious and locally sourced. Also went above and beyond and made me a very old traditional breakfast that took me back to my childhood If you like to walk before breakfast there are beautiful rambling paths all around. Absolute recommended for a traditional warm and wonderful farmhouse Bed & Breakfast experience
