the bar area was lovely, very friendly staff and the breakfast was delicious, the menu looked fantastic too and we hope to visit again in the future to try it. Our room was fantastic value for money, a very comfortable sleep with fantastic pillows, bathroom is due to be upgraded soon and was a little tired but the shower was great and did the job perfect. We stayed for a local wedding and contacted the staff before hand who did their best to make sure the room was available for our early arrival which was very kind and so helpful! The owner Wayne offered us a lift to and from the wedding which was 10 minutes drive from the Inn, he was extremely accommodating to us, which we never expected and can’t Thank him enough. Both Teresa and Wayne were so so friendly, The Yew Tree felt like a home from home. Thank you both so much for a lovely stay, fantastic service and delicious food!

From the first encounter and welcome to the checking out, we felt like family and were very well looked after, fed and refreshed. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was out of this world. I have already recommended the restaurant to friends who are passing through, and we will definitely stay there again.

Wayne and Theresa were very friendly and when we had a mishap with our car they really helped us with the insurance company and arranged for someone to take us to get a hire car. We were very comfortable and would definitely go there again. With their help it made our holiday a good one instead of a disaster.

The family room was well laid out and a good size for 4 people for 1 night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food for our evening meal and breakfast was nicely cooked and good portions.

The bathroom, although clean, needed a bit of tlc to bring it in line with the standard of the bedroom and the bedroom could do with some blackout curtains.

The staff were lovely and friendly, and the food was amazing. The room was lovely and was a bonus that the TV had netflix, Amazon prime plus loads of other channels not just your basic ones. Plus it had a dvd player in case of rainy or just chillin days. There was even biscuits at the tea and coffee I the room plus cappuccino and hot choc instead of just the basic tea and coffee options. The courtyard buy accommodation was rely lovely and considering next to a busy road was nice and quiet. Great location for our stay as barn cookery school was just up the road. Rely helpful and friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble.

Unfortunately it was room only price and they didn't start serving food till 11am, so unfortunately we couldn't have breakfast before we had our book appointment as we had to be at app for 10am. Plus on the day we checked out we wanted to have a look around gloster itself but if we stayed there till 11 to eat breakfast/brunch it then limited our day plans as most attractions were 10-4 opening times, so unfortunately had to find alternatives for breakfast.

Before booking my stay at The Yew Tree, the reviews were really good. I can attest that it is indeed a great place to stay. I enjoyed my room. The bed was comfortable and the room was perfect for my use. Everyone staff I interacted with at The Yew Tree were lovely & polite. If I am in the area again and I need a place to stay, I will be sure to book another stay at The Yew Tree.

The family room we was staying in was perfect around the family’s requirements and comfortable beds. Spacious room and had what was described on the description and facilities of the room. In a nice enclosed area so we wasn’t inside the pub itself but we could definitely tell it is a popular pub and I could see why. We didn’t hear or see any nuisance, which was definitely a bonus!

The room was perfect, beds very comfortable. The staff were amazing, couldn't do enough for us, we had a slight hiccup with our TV and Wayne didn't stop until he sorted it for us. The food was perfect, large portions, I highly recommend the steak fajita. There is a private courtyard for guests with benches and each room has a little table and chairs outside. We booked for one night but ended up staying for 2. Can't wait to go again.

The Yew Tree is a lovely country style pub with lovely accommodation on site. The morning and evening staff were all absolutely lovely, they were genuinely friendly without it being forced. Good choice of beers available, and the food was excellent. Couldn’t recommend enough.

The staff were very polite and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean, well set out and comfy.

The walls in the rooms are a little thin meaning you could clearly hear movements, the toilet flushing in the adjacent room etc. Needed earplugs to sleep.
