I got up in the morning for a shower and it didn't work,,i was told later that I should have turned it on at the isolation switch,,?????an isolation switch is there for a reason. Why was it off????. Bit disappointed I didn't get offered a partial refund. I've stayed there a few times and things have been spot on.

Appreciated having the use of a small fridge this time as have stayed at Deangate Motel previously and this was an unexpected bonus . Good shower facilities and all the basics required to make an overnight stay pleasant.

A wooden adjoining door caused a noise problem as the neighbours chatted on well until 11:30 pm and only kept quiet after us tapping on their door. When asking to service the room only one of the dustbins were emptied. The soap dispenser in the bathroom contained very little soap and as we are mindful of handwashing it was soon finished, which was a real pity.

This was a wheelchair accessible room with a walk in wet room shower. This had grab handles fold down shower seat etc. It was an excellent bathroom. The bedroom was large and I could get my mobility scooter into the room to charge it at night. The doorway was extra wide. The room was right by reception so no long corridors to go down. That made mobility scooter access easy. Continental breakfast delivered to your room was also very easy. Staff were super helpful to a disabled person travelling on their own.

Nothing could be better. For a disabled person this was an excellent room and staff were super helpful. NO COMPLAINTS.

Room very tidy, lovely and warm especially as it was sooooo cold outside Very quite, absolutely banging shower, clean bathroom..very polite and warm welcome on arrival Definitely staying again but gonna experience the self-contained rooms I'll give DeanGate 100% on everything but..... Coffee cups was to small😂🤣as a heavy coffee drinker I needed 4 cups to make up a normal coffee cup lololol Apart from small cups I'd definitely recommend staying here..

Absolutely nothing was not liked... Fantastic motel

The room was large and very clean, it have everything you could need, lots of shelving and hanging space, tea and coffee and a very comfortable bed. Soft towels and a large, powerful shower with anti slip mat. We had breakfast served to our room which was toast, tea, yogurt and cereal and there is a table and chairs in the room. We only meet the receptionist, she booked us in and served our breakfast, very friendly and informative. Great Wi Fi reception too. Plenty of parking near the room for easy transport of cases and the flowers and hanging baskets are magnificent. An all round great place to stay.

Luxury double room. Very comfortable. Large room with ensuite, wardrobe, table and chairs, tv. All very clean. Decent sized bathroom with a good shower, loads of hot water and good pressure. Tea/coffee facilities, towels and toiletries included. Very warm room, but a fan was provided if needed. Small town a 5 minute walk, shops and plenty of takeaways, the lovely guy at reception even gave us plates and cutlery to use! Good location and plenty of parking.

Nothing to dislike. A very comfortable stay and a good base for exploring the forest of dean.

Breakfast, although light, was more than adequate. The staff brought the breakfast to us at the requested time without fail. It is well situated for both the town and the countryside attractions.

We found the bed to be rather hard and a little uncomfortable. The roadside sign was not very conspicuous - could do with being larger.

Friendly staff, clean and well presented premises/facilities. Room and it’s furnishings were clean and fresh, bedding also clean and fresh as were towels etc. The location makes the motel a great base for visiting the local attractions of which there are many.

Nothing to comment on in this aspect… very satisfied with the premises and cost. If staying again in the area will definitely book a room here.

The large room with ensuite was especially helpful as there was a small table and chairs to use for breakfast if ordered or if you fancy getting a takeout. There was also ample room to have the dog as well. The heating was efficient and easy to alter. The motel is situated in a quiet area not far from the town centre and lovely park with easy access to the main road. The staff were helpful and very friendly.Well recommended.

Maybe a better mattress but all good really.

The booking into the motel was a very smooth process which we appreciated very much. The rooms were clean, had adequate provisions and extra tea plus milk, towels and even a rubbish bag which was very thoughtful. The shower was hot, there were plenty of towels and beds were comfortable. The rooms were sound proof...we were not disturbed by neighbouring travellers when they used the shower for example.

The room lighting could have been better, as one of the ceiling lights was not working...we could have spoken up, but it was not a great issue! As we washed our hands often, it would have been useful to have a little more liquid hand soap, however I will take my own in the future. It would be better if other customers sat on benches outside their own rooms, instead of ours in order to maintain our privacy...but again, this is no big deal.
