The room was large, and included a kettle/coffee/tea/biscuits, and a large standing fan. Shower had good pressure. Although we only stayed 2 nights there was maid service (many places don't bother), so we got refreshed coffees/biscuits, which was very welcome. Our room overlooked the front main street and clocktower. Parking was easy for us. There is street parking very close. It is timed during the day - Mon to Sat 08:30 to 18:30, 1 hour only, but we were out exploring during these times anyway. Breakfast was amazing! I stayed 2 nights and wouldn't usually eat a full English 2 days on the trot but it was so delicious I couldn't help myself.

On a Sat night the tapas bar next door doesn't close til 2, and the kids (ie everyone under the age of 22) gather outside to shout and screech. In the colder months this probably isn't an issue as shutting the window drowns out a lot of the sound, but in the summer with the window open it was LOUD. Sunday was quiet though, so maybe it's just a Sat issue.

Great location to venture out on the bus as bus stop outside hotel. Very welcoming staff. Really big bedroom lovely comfortable beds. Great shower etc. we had a meal in the hotel on our first night and the food was really good. No complaints from any of my party. The breakfast was great. Very hot and the ingredients were very very good. We had a few drinks on the bar and all good there also. Fresh towels were supplied on both days. They even accommodated our motorcycles in the beer garden which was very handy as it kept them safe and secure. Many thanks Angela Hotel. Highly recommended 🙏🙏

Nothing really. I couldn’t get the tv to work in our bedroom. But to be honest it didn’t bother us one bit. I suppose if we would have asked to get it fixed they would have.

Pleasant room, clean although the bathroom was showing signs of needing an update. location was central which did however have its drawbacks: the youths congregated in the square below our bedroom window and kept us awake until the small hours. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the breakfast exceeded my expectation, even if I had to wait until 8.30 for the first serving. Freshly cooked and I didn’t even mind the tinned tomato. If you need a local restaurant go to Simply Wild on the other side of the square. Stunning food and worth the trip to Coleford just to go there.

I had a great short break at the Angel Hotel, Cath and the team were really accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. The breakfast was great and they provided vegan options for me, as well as giving guidance on what might be suitable at the restaurant for evening meals. The room was great value for money and the location is fantastic for travellers who use public transport - the main bus stop from Gloucester is right outside the hotel and this also takes you to nearby areas of interest like National Forestry trails. Would definitely recommend!

The building is beautiful and my room was spacious, luxurious and well laid out. The bathroom was a great size too with a really big shower. The lighting was really soft and added to the ambience of the room. The bed - a very handsome four-poster bed - was very comfortable: high and with a firm mattress (which is my preference) and with very clean, soft comfortable bedding . The staff were friendly and helpful. There was plenty on offer for breakfast and the Full English was cooked really well. The staff were also very helpful in terms of providing additions for your room; e.g. jug of cold water, extra towels, toiletries, fan, etc. Coleford is also a beautiful location to stay in.

My room was a little noisy at night on the weekend from the pub / bar downstairs. This went on until quite late and was a bit distracting and made it hard to get to sleep early. The dinner times were a little restrictive and there were a couple of evenings when the restaurant didn't open at all and so I had to go out and get a takeaway and take it to my room to eat. Also the Wi-fi connection was very unreliable and frequently not working. When it was working the signal was usually very low / poor.

Room was fantastic; very large and very clean and full of character. Really comfortable four-poster bed. The bedding was good quality and very comfortable. Good sized bathroom too with a really large shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Coleford is a lovely location too.

The room was a bit noisy from the pub / bar downstairs. The wi-fi signal was VERY patchy and unreliable. Also there were a couple of nights during my stay when the restaurant at the hotel didn't open in the evening, which was inconvenient. Even when the restaurant was open, the times are very limited, with nothing available before 6,00pm and nothing available after 7.30pm.

The hotel was ideally located in the main market square, with two bus stops right outside. The local buses began and terminated from these stops to many of the places we wanted to visit, which was a lovely surprise for non-drivers like us. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. We started out each day with one of the filling and delicious breakfast choices. We'll be returning sometime soon to finish off our sightseeing list.

There wasn't much that we didn't like at all. One small thing was that there wasn't anywhere to put our toiletry bags. Overall, we were very happy with our room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar/pub area was traditional, warm, with a great selection of reasonably priced beers, and some very friendly locals. The food was decent and reasonably priced as well. The room was spacious, quiet (at the rear of the building), with a very comfortable bed, and the shower was powerful and hot.

Some parts of the room and hotel were a little bit tired and in need of some TLC. The bedside lights in our room didn't work, and some patches of wallpaper were damaged or peeling, for example. The breakfast was a bit small, but was good quality. Very minor things overall, and would happily stay again.

Full cooked English breakfast with juice, decaf coffee as requested, hot crispy toast: one of the best we had, great hashbrowns and mushrooms Room was spacious, 4 poster bed, clean, airy and bright with full length windows which opened onto a small balcony: balcony faced square, roads and shop, so not really scenic. Good ensuite shower. Generous tea & coffee making facilities, AND a floor standing fan which was lovely in the hot weather. Thank you! Bed was comfortable. We requested a quiet room, and though our room 103 overlooked the main square and there was a live band in the bar just downstairs, we were surprisingly not at all disturbed. A lovely one night stay.

Good location to access walks and visit places of interest near Wye Valley. Lovely place to stay, comfortable bed and clean rooms. Fairly good breakfast cooked to order, though limited to what you order. Provided vegetarian sausages as requested. Welcoming staff.0000

Carparking was not on site as expected, had to walk a little short distance, which was a bit disappointing, as it was raining. Also no wifi in room, even though they gave you a code, it didn't work on any devices like laptop/ipad. Very poor signal in the room. Price was a bit too much for a weekday stay and for the limited access to parking and wifi. Though rooms were quite nice and spacious.
