As I entered the room, a cleaning rag had been left or dropped on the floor near to the door. Room large and lovely. Seemed very clean. However at night I noticed several large cobwebs on the ceiling.
The room, number 37 seemed ideal. Windows opened, lots of light. I left one window open during the night but was woken at 5.55am by what I assumed to be staff arriving at the hotel and the club to start their shifts. I am sure that they know to keep quiet but, unfortunately, voices carry a long way at that time of day.

The room was cosy, modern, and warm, yet not too warm. It was Tastefully decorated, and a decent size. A comfortable bed and great shower. I was given an option for a late check-out, which in the end I did not need, but nice to offer. I also have to mention the restaurant which is located in the clubhouse opposite the hotel. The food in the restaurant was genuinely very very good indeed and worth waiting for. I enjoyed a chicken curry one evening for example, which was obviously freshly cooked, a very generous portion, with tender chicken, and an amazing flavour from the curry. I was most impressed with this, I thought it was one on the best curries I’ve ever had, quite unexpected. Also the breakfast choices were strong, as you could have continental style ie cereal, fruit, toast etc. However in addition to this there was a further wide and generous choice of cooked breakfast options. Very nice.
The only thing I would give feedback on regarding my room was that one could do with somewhere to put your shower gel! (or hand soap) in the the actual shower. A slight niggle overall. Also re the extractor fan in the bathroom … it perhaps may have just been my room but I was nervous switching the light on late at night as the extractor fab may have been a little loud for neighbouring room (not sure on that) but it seemed like that could be replaced with a quieter solution to be honest. But these are fairly minor things in my view.

The location suited us perfectly. We were staying at the Bells as we were attending a friends birthday party in Coleford. The clubhouse restaurant was really nice. The food in the evening looked really good and we enjoyed our buffet breakfast on our departure day. Staff were all really friendly and helpful, the hotel was quiet and the golf course next door pretty frozen, so we had plenty of space everywhere.
In just a few of the high traffic areas, the hotel could do with a bit of tlc. Stair handrails needed a lick of paint and the odd door required a screwdriver, but this was pretty minimal and we would certainly stay here again if in the area.

The location was perfect for our intended visit, a wedding nearby, and allowed us to relax beforehand and after. The breakfast hours/restaurant hours were convenient. Staff were welcoming and helpful
The furnishings in the room are a little tatty, such as paintwork needing to be freshened up, as well as furniture. Net curtains dirty, cushions dirty. The continental breakfast could have a few more additions like porridge, selection of pastries or muffins, to make it better value as an all inclusive continental option. Bed was too hard for us. Shower control is too low down, it is easy to bump into whilst showering, potentially blasting hot water out. The smaller television on the wall above the fridge was not a good position. My partner banged his head on the corner of it when he went to the bathroom during the night.

Very nice, friendly staff. Excellent food from the hotel kitchen, we had dinner and breakfast, both top notch. Decor in the clubhouse and general areas lovely and bedroom welcoming and comfy. Everything you could want.
Bathroom was a good size but a little cold. Wasn't aware that you had to go outside to get from your room to the clubhouse where all the food is served. But that was a minor thing and didn't spoil our stay. We got an excellent one night deal and would definitely stay again.

Peaceful position on the edge of town with a choice of large supermarkets and some shops just a short walk away (I walked because the town centre car parks always seemed to be full). Plenty of parking at the hotel, good WiFi and very helpful staff. Cosy, well-heated room. Excellent value for money with a special discounted rate. Breakfast could be bought for an extra £13 but I decided against.
The room and its furniture was showing plenty of use. Some loud noises from the next room (presumably from their wardrobe). My double bed was actually two singles put together – fine as long as I didn't try to lie in the middle.

Good signposting. Easy to find. Ample car parking. Function room for parties etc separate from accommodation and well sound proofed. Spacious double room. Bed huge as two single beds attached under bedding. Breakfast was in the clubhouse opposite but I didn’t go over there. Nice view from window. Lovely and warm. Left undisturbed by housekeeping for three nights (as is their custom), but you can ask for room to be serviced at reception. There is a gym and spa too, but I didn’t try either.
Decor slightly shabby, ie bathroom seals need replacing, furniture tops scuffed. Bed valance seemed outdated and got in way of making bed. Plumbing very noisy….when nearby guests used taps, it sounded like a plane taking off! Cold tap pressure erratic as difficult to turn smoothly…got a few soakings before I got the hang of it. Hot water extremely hot, but there is a warning sign. Would have liked bigger mugs.

the location is lovely with a nice park out the front if you like a walk ! shops and that are also in walking distance and a supermarket to get bits for the room
the breakfast wasn’t great in my opinion (buffet style) bacon was very fatty , sausages weren’t all that , fried slice was solid , but the eggs was decent and they do have a good a selection of breads and cereals ect…. but after a night out we all want a fry up in us ! I didn’t go back on the second morning but the room was good value for money ! there was other people in my party who also had there own room and they also didn’t wanna eat there and we chose to pick up a Burger King instead

The room was fine, breakfast really good, facilities good, great position for travelling to lots of places, just what we needed
Everything was really good except that think there was a large group of people in at the same time as us on our first night and they all came back quite late and as our room was one that most people would have to walk passed to get to their room, because the floor creaked so much in the corridor, it was really quite load. no problems though the following night

We had a very big room with a double and a single bed (we’d only booked a double). The room had a fridge (unusual in the uk but very welcome). Staff were very helpful. Plenty of free parking. Easy walking distance to the town centre. Would certainly stay here again.
The room was slightly tired and could do with a coat of paint and a bathroom overhaul. The bed was a bit harder than we like, but not terrible.
