The welcome was warm and informal making you feel completely at ease. We were in the area for a wedding and we were going somewhere completely out of the way, and we were offered a lift to the wedding reception and were picked up too. Though it must have interrupted their evening you wouldn’t have been able to tell! The room and bathroom were very large, exceptionally clean, with great facilities. I stay in a lot of 5* hotels with my job and I could tell my hosts have too. The breakfast was just as excellent. Family style so got to chat to a lovely couple. My favourite thing was the homemade bread and home harvested honey - what a treat! And to top it off the hosts have the sweetest teddy bear of a dog called Mr Buttons, who they let us borrow to take a wander around the area. A really memorable stay…fabulous.

From start to finish, nothing was too much trouble. I received a warm and friendly welcome into Ellie and Rexis home. Their house has been beautifully restored and is an electic mix of fascinating art and artifacts. Their recommendations for places to eat and to visit were excellent. The location is perfect for exploring the World Heritage site of Avebury and many surrounding villages. Breakfast was delicious, especially the home-made bread and eggs from the local farm. It was spotlessly clean throughout, and the bed was very comfortable. It was a pleasure to meet Ellie, Rexi, and their dog, the delightful Mr Buttons. It's lovely to stay in a home with so much character that meets all your needs. Next time I return to Avebury I will definitely stay here again. Thank you ! 😊

A lovely, listed building a short walk away from Calne centre. Renovated to a very high standard. We stayed in the Gothic room, with a very comfortable bed, en suite shower room, and well stocked with all the essentials from tea, coffee, biscuits and filtered water to toiletries to a first aid kit. It was more like a private suite than a B&B room! Ellie, the host, is absolutely the loveliest lady. Very warm, welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Ellie offers a very wide range of options for breakfast, all made from locally sourced produce. Made freshly, tasty and more than enough for anyone (in fact we didn’t have space left for lunch). We weren’t, however, prepared for Ellie’s partner in crime - the utterly adorable Buttons. THE cutest and most well behaved ‘guard dog’ we’ve ever met. He was the absolute icing on the cake.

We sadly had to leave, and worse - we couldn’t keep Buttons as a souvenir of our stay :-(

This is an outstanding bed and breakfast. Ellie and Rexi are the most charming of hosts who make you feel at home. The full English breakfast is scrumptious and features homemade marmalade, yogurt, honey and delicious sourdough toast. Bacon, sausages and egg were all perfectly cooked. My room was very comfortable and with an excellent bed. I will definitely be staying again in the future. Thank you so much.

Nothing as everything was perfect.

I found myself very welcome by Ellie and the house is super comfy! The breakfast was so tasty and home cooked! I had a very pleasant stay, relaxing. The house has everything, classic style with very good decor taste mixed with comfort! Cosy and warm! Ellie was replying very quickly to my questions, as it was my first time visiting UK, always very helpful. Thank you

I am so glad we choose heritage BNB. the room is spotlessly clean and the house and the decoration is beautiful. Ellie is such a kind and wise lady. when we were there, she took great care of us and the breakfast was delicious. I had to wait until pm and Ellie was so generous to let me leave the suitcase and stay in the lounge. this stay was really so nice, much better than staying in a hotel.

Excellent breakfast with lots of choice and times for breakfast. Lovely owner Ellie was very helpful and friendly Makes her own sourdough bread which is delicious . Lovely old building which has been renovated with nice cosy rooms with everything you need Shower room was excellent and clean with plenty of towels. A nice visitors lounge to relax in with choice of books and games .

Comfy bed with fresh Egyptian cotton sheets, spacious room and modern bathroom with plenty hot water in the shower. The breakfast was served with delicious homemade sourdough bread and the Wiltshire bacon was tasty and cooked to perfection along with eggs sourced locally. An amazing house where Ellie and Rexie were friendly and welcoming.

The host was fantastic, really friendly and accommodating. Our room (The Gothic Room) was brilliant! Full of character, comfortable, well designed, and quirky. I adored it! Plus an honorary mention for the gorgeous house doggies!

Sadly due to a family emergency we had to skip breakfast, but it smelled amazing! Was very much looking forward to eggs benedict.

Breakfast was yummy. Cooked very well. The location was ideal for us as it was only 3 miles from the wedding we attended. Our host arranged a taxi service for us to be taken to our destination and to collect us when it finished after 11 pm. We couldn’t fault the service we had.

The only disappointment is no parking on site. But there was adequate street parking just outside the hotel. I don’t normally like leaving my car parked in the street. But it wouldn’t stop me visiting the hotel again as it so nice and comfortable and it’s host so friendly.
