We spent a weekend walking along the Kennet & Avon canal and stayed our first night here. It's SUCH a delightful little hotel, with a lovely bar downstairs, friendly staff and an upstairs sitting room area too. Not that you need that because the room was huge anyway, with a sofa in and a view out over the the little town. The bath was SUCH a delight after a long day walking. The big bed was lovely too, so comfy with lovely pristine sheets. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Nothing - we loved this place.

Very nice rooms. Wonderful staff. Quaint inn. We were able to drop off luggage early which was great and they took luggage to the room for us. Also, staff found us a taxi when ours canceled at the last minute. Food was delicious-had dinner in their restaurant.

A/C not centrally located so one room was cold and other too warm. A/C blew directly on the bed and ran most of night. Wish there was an elevator for luggage.

Very central, all the areas were clean and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, freshly cooked and you can see the kitchen which is always a win for me!!

There wasn’t anything not to like. The staff were all really friendly including one in particular that was called at 1.30am to sort out an alarm situation, some idiot had come back drunk and hit the fire alarm. Grrrr. Not the fault of the hotel and they sorted it out reasonably quickly.

The staff was lovely and respectful, they took care in what they said and did for us. The room was amazing and a lot larger than I expected I certainly enjoyed a very relaxing bubble bath in such a deep tub with a mood lightening as there was two different types for the bathroom, and a peaceful sleep the bed was so comfortable. The hotel itself has character and you can see how old parts of the building is, it's beautiful but well maintained.

The welcome was warm and friendly. The room was light, very spacious and scrupulously clean with a large bathroom. The hotel is a delightful place to stay. The restaurant is light and airy and the salmon was well cooked. All the staff were cheerful and helpful. There is parking nearby and it's very central. I would highly recommend it.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

Lovely spacious room. Large, comfortable bed. Clean throughout. Good shower in decent sized bathroom. Tasty breakfast with a variety of options. Helpful, friendly staff. Selection of interesting sitting areas.

Parking very close by could be an issue as some limitations, but you are in the heart of Devizes.

The location was perfect as I wanted to be central. The staff were all very pleasant. The building and internal lay out was very interesting, tasteful decoration and interesting private lounges

The cooked breakfast was good but I was disappointed with the pre-breakfast selection as there was no fresh fruit or bakery items and one of the cereals had almost run out. When I was served with coffee as requested, I was just given one cup.

The Peppermill Town House Hotel was exceptional. It is very central and easy to find. The owners were on hand upon check-in and most polite, offering an early check-in (because of availability) and parking advice. The room was very quiet and the shower amazing. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and the service was excellent.

The building and decor is lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although it was a single, there was plenty of room and the bed was so comfy!

The 2 flights of stairs to the room! And I was told it would be quiet, but 2 floors up I could still here people in the bar until midnight. The room had no windows except a small one in the bathroom, so a fan would have made all the difference as it got stuffy.

Great central location. Nice room with comfortable bed. We only stayed one night so did not use the lounge area but this looked very nice. Breakfast was excellent, very tasty.

There is no car parking at the hotel. Parking is available close by in the town, but payment online through a local council app / website / text message is a bit fiddly - and I am pretty tech-savvy. Bathroom was very small.
