We arrived very late due to a flight delay but the staff, Josh and team, were extremely helpful in getting us checked in and helping with our baggage for our four night stay. We were in a deluxe double room over the dining room downstairs and despite this it wasn’t noisy. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable with reading lamps and plenty of room lighting. There was a space for hanging clothes as well as an iron and ironing board. On our second day, one of the staff (possibly a manager?) very kindly printed an important email for us. The food in the pub dining room was excellent.

The shower cubicle was extremely small. The toilet didn’t always flush properly and one of the ceiling lights was out.

The entire property was beautiful and charming. The bar and restaurant are lovely, and being just across the street from the rooms it makes it very convenient to have a bite or a pint before going back to your room. The rooms were very recently redone, and are beautifully decorated and comfortable. The following day I wanted to walk on the public footpaths before breakfast and the server in the restaurant very kindly provided me with a map and directions for a long circle that would not take me all the way into the next town, but give me a good, scenic walk. By the time I returned from my stroll through the woods and cow pastures my family was downstairs for breakfast and we all enjoyed the full English breakfast, which was very good. I wish we could have stayed longer at this particular spot, it was absolutely lovely.

There is nothing that I didn't like. It's perfect.

Stayed 3 nights Staff very good ..food delicious, a bit pricey, but that's probably to be expected, due to it's reputation.

First morning our room had no hot water. Reported this at breakfast & it was only a matter of the boiler being reset 😔 Were forewarned there would be an hour wait for a chance dinner order and we waited an hour & 20 mins.. due to staff shortage. A few days later we booked a table for 6.30pm ..there happened to be a family group at dinner, kids were quite noisy (being kids, you might say).. .was irritating for us...so be prepared if dining early.

Beautiful hotel set in the most idyllic setting with a small river running by. Plenty of outdoor space. Room was spotlessly clean, warm , a good size (stayed in the Deluxe Double) and the bed was very comfortable with a decent powerful shower. Had a meal in the evening and the food was amazing, lovely quality food and plentiful (the starters portion sizes were probably a little on the generous side, struggled to finish our mains) it very tasty nonetheless. Whilst the cooked breakfast was lovely it was served on cold plates and a little on the luke warm side. Many thanks to the guy that checked us in, he was very attentive and even carried our luggage to our room whilst telling us a little history at the same time. We had a thoroughly lovely two night stay and would definitely like to return some time soon.

They didn’t particularly like you paying cash for anything (even for drinks in the bar) and all things had to be paid for separately rather than at the end of the stay, but a minor thing considering everything else was perfect.

Lovely location, very pituresque. Parking quite easy. Menu quite varied. good selection of beers and spitits.

Room could have been a bit cleaner, bathroom floor needed a good mop and limescale in the sink could be easily rectified. Toilet seat needs replacing, and although clean, was quite old and chipped. Bed a little hard for our liking and the duvet would be adequate on an artic night... way too heavy for this time of year. Coffee machine was a mystery, could'nt get to grips with it, despite serveral attempts, either too week or too strong, but maybe thats me !... otherwise quite nice.

We had a de-luxe double room which was large and had an excellent bathroom with shower. Breakfast was not included in the room price but hot and cold choices were excellent. We had our evening meals in the restaurant ,which we thoroughly enjoyed, and all of the staff were lovely and friendly - giving us information on the surrounding area. The situation of the The White Hart is perfect for Castle Combe, Lacock Abbey, Tetbury and Avebury so something for everyone.

Breakfast could have been hotter when served.

Such a beautiful property, all the charm you hope from a costwolds inn and they’ve really nailed a blend between that authentic charm with a few trendy touches that make the rooms feel up to date. Staff was great - had a lovely last night at the bar chatting the night away with our bartender - when we left the next morning the checkout gave us complementary cappuccinos for the road. We stayed for 2 nights as a base to visit Castle Comb and Bath and it was perfect.

It was great! I hope they keep (even up!) the old fashioned charm when they are slated they mentioned to do lot of renovations this year due to the old roof.

Location very close to Castle Combe Circuit and they were very helpful about me checking in late. They also have free parking on site.

The shower is comically small, I am not crazy tall but my head was almost hitting the ceiling. The coffee machine needs replacing and I can understand no air con, but feel with the current temps there should at least be a fan in the room, especially for £120 a night.

Staff were great. Especially Nicki and Stewart. The food was very tasty, well presented and good price. Continental breakfast was restricted. No berries or plain yoghurt. Full english breakfast was also brilliant. Lovely garden to sit in. good bar selection.

Needed berries and plain yoghurt at breakfast. Bathroom was not great, especially the shower. Kicked in in the corner. Needed an overhaul. Pillows were very uncomfortable indeed.

Comfortable and well equipped room with comfy bed, quilt and pillows. We had two evening meals and two breakfasts. All the food was cooked to perfection and delicious. Staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The bar and dining area have a lovely cosey and relaxed atmosphere.

There was no toast! It said toast on the breakfast menu for the veggie breakfast but it was actually fried bread. I was very much looking forward to toasted white bloomer so was disappointed that toast was not available. My husband was very happy to have fried bread with his breakfast. Perhaps you could offer fried bread or toast?
