All aspects were fine, its a lovely place to stay. The breakfast and its disposition was superb. Richard, the host was very friendly and obliging, and we had lots in common.
We were a bit crestfallen to find when we arrived that we were in a room normally let as a single, and without en-suite facilities because of a glitch in the booking process which had only specified a single guest. Our bathroom was thus one floor away. I can only accept responsibility for this if I failed to notice that the booking format had defaulted to 1 guest, but I thought I had booked for two I have never experienced this problem on previous bookings I have made through Booking.com

The breakfast was great, the host is a kind and thoughtful person. The room was clean and comfortable. Lovely view across the road to field of sheep. Relaxing and peaceful. Intend to return.
Really there is very little to mention. I would have liked a bedside table but there was open shelving that worked fine. A bedside light at both sides of the bed would have been nice but managed perfectly wll without. Trivial things. The place is lovely. Those minor things would not put me off at all.

Location was excellent for Badminton Horse Trails 👌 Enclosed garden was spectacular for our puppy who loved it. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice and very fresh. Hosts were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us.
The room hadn't been occupied in a while so we needed to ask for a kettle which had been removed, the milk sachets had gone off and the WiFi code was out of date. Having said that, as soon as we mentioned it the excellent hosts rectified it immediately. I assume it was the dog friendly room so not regularly used.

A wonderful bed and breakfast! The room has a beautiful view over meadows, and it is a most comfortable en-suite. So quiet and peaceful - we slept really well. The owner is incredibly kind and hospitable. He prepared us a delicious full English breakfast in a superb dining room. The place is within an easy distance of many National Trust venues as well as Bath and Bristol. I strongly recommend this accommodation. Perfect for a getaway to the English countryside! Lovely also for families. You need to have a car.

We stayed here as our large Afghan Hound was in a dog show close by. The male host was an absolute gentleman who could not have been more considerate in every way. We and our dog were given a heartfelt welcome. The breakfast was outstanding and catered to every taste. the dining room was really lovely and the Full English breakfast was wonderful, as was the array of yogurt, fruit juices, fruit, breakfast cereal etc The garden/land was much, much larger than anticipated, which was a wonderful place to walk our dog. There were also garden games / equipment for children and adults to play with and the beautiful horses in the adjacent fields added to the beauty of the countryside, giving a really peaceful view and feeling. The room with TV & tea making facilities was ultra clean and welcoming and gave us enough room to set up our dog's bed. We were given a key to come and go as we pleased, which was useful for late evening dog walks and there was parking a plenty. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a lovely stay and a very warm welcome.
We liked everything.

Richard, Jennifer and their daughter Imogen were marvellous hosts. This a proper, old fashioned (in the best possible way) bed and breakfast home. Richard's breakfasts were fabulous. We had such a personal experience and Richard was an absolute mine of information and a natural raconteur! The family and their home are delightful.
Initially we had a room with a separate bathroom situated downstairs. When the ensuite become available Richard happily let us swap which was very much appreciated

I had the excellent full English plus there seem to be as many other choices as anyone could wish for. No restrictions on coming and going with easy parking on the property. The host is very welcoming and a cheerful conversationalist. Lovely surroundings, with easy access to the M4 and nearby Chipping Sodbury. Digital TV if you like that sort of thing and free WiFi. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room, whch I like. Ensuite toilet and shower. And very importantly, the temperature of the room is entirely controllable, so I could sleep well.
Some people may want a gym and a swimming pool and a masseuse, and perhaps a bar. I don't, and I don't wish to pay for facilities I do not use. So Windylands is entirely appropriate for my needs, and I would not change anything.

A beautiful country location but relatively close to a town. A very hospitable host who was happy to make time for a chat.
A comfortable room, with everything that’s is necessary for a comfortable stay. Excellent breakfast in pleasant surroundings, at a sensible time that suited me.

The host was very amenable and welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast and the room was very comfortable. The room had beautiful views over looking the stunning countryside.
The accommodation was quite difficult to turn into from a very busy road.
