I loved Bob and Liz's hospitality. From my initial moment meeting them they made me feel very welcomed and at home. I always felt comfortable and I liked the little check in if I needed more towels on my second day. I also liked how I could choose my breakfast and they were very accommodating and flexible being a solo traveller. Finally I absolutely loved the ambience at breakfast and brought back a very nostalgic memory from visiting my grandparents and they would play classical music. The book case area at breakfast was spectacular to look and I loved reading about the history of Thomas the Tank engine author being an Early Years teacher myself. I really recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful place to stay and it is well commuted for bus links to Bath city. Thanks Liz for reminding me to download citymapper - a must needed for help with accurate bus times.

I loved everything!

Nice property - would stay again. Small B&B with friendly owners who know a lot about the area. Spotless, modern rooms and bathrooms with good quality bedding. Rooms feel like a hotel - much better than others we've stayed at. Towels, toiletries, coffee/tea in the room, TV, great little library with lots of books. Sitting room with sofa for you to sit in, which is needed since the deck/balcony is really small and only accommodates two families. Nice breakfast. Good options - full English, eggs Benedict, toast, porridge etc.

Bathroom could use a shower curtain or screen. The bathroom is nice - don't get me wrong - it just felt odd to have nothing separating the shower from the sink.

What a great find this was. Lovely place that has recently been revamped according to the owner Bob. I arrived early and knocked on the door to ask if it was okay to leave my bag and car whilst I went off with a colleague. Bob immediately ushered me inside and gave me a key to my room. The room was very spacious, clean and well decorated. And the bed was probably the most comfortable I have slept in. I usually struggle to sleep away from home. Not this time, I was out like a light. Breakfast was really good, fresh produce cooked perfectly. The team here are really friendly and I couldn’t have wished for a better stop over. I would definitely stay here again.

The Lorne House is very easy to reach by public transport - via Bath Spa and then Uber or bus. The guesthouse is delightful with a common sitting room and a kitchen that can be used by the guest. This was really great as we were travelling with our baby - I could use the kitchen to store her food and prepare her meals! We also made a good use of the sitting room during a rainy afternoon. The room was very comfortable, the shower was great but the best thing of all was the great energy and hospitality of Bob and Liz. Thank you!

A wonderful warm & personal reception on arrival, smart clean rooms with comfortable beds & perfect shower facilities and a most hearty breakfast to begin your day.

Liz, Rob, and their family are excellent hosts. The house was impeccably clean yet felt very homely. The facilities are impressive, and the location is easy to find. I was particularly impressed by the breakfast, which had a five-star presentation showcasing the hosts' refined taste and attention to detail. The stay was very comfortable—I highly recommend it.

The hotel is situated next to a busy road, which might cause noise issues for light sleepers. Additionally, it would be perfect if the guests can enjoy the garden.

Oh everything......location was perfect to get a local bus to bath which was 20 minutes. Also near some of the smaller villages around which were beautiful...lovely welcome clean cosy like home from home ...very private spaces that guests could use.

The property was nicely decorated, very clean and tidy. It’s located in a good area with easy bus transport to the city centre. Some good recommendations for restaurants made by the hosts also nearby & within a short walk. Room was good sized with great facilities. Breakfast was very tasty!

Location was perfect, not too close to Bath and not too far. if visiting Bath or Cotwolds this is the best location. Room provided to us was the top floor with a foldable balcony. highly recommend taking this view (breathtaking views). Rooms were supplied with everything required. Last but not least, breakfast was delicious.

Parking during the weekday could be a bit of hassle.

Beautiful room with great view and very quiet. very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Loved the use of kitchen and lounge. A real home away from home.
