Everything. This place is a hidden treasure and the host, Suzanne, goes above and beyond to make your stay special. Lovely garden in which to enjoy a cup of tea and homemade cake. Breakfast is delicious with special touches eg homemade blackcurrant and apple purée from the garden to go with your muesli before your hot English breakfast, then toast with home made marmalade. Nothing is too much trouble for Suzanne who looks after you with kindness and grace accompanied by wonderful conversation if that’s what you enjoy or peace and quiet if that’s what you prefer. We will be telling our friends about this little piece of paradise tucked away in the beautiful town of Bradford on Avon which has lots to see and enjoy. It is a short train ride to Bath with easy parking right at the station. Hopefully we will be back

Suzanne is absolutely lovely, such a gracious, charming and kind host - she has made Herb Cottage so pretty and welcoming. The location is quiet and rural, but within easy driving distance of Bradford-on-Avon which is itself a lovely village. I loved my stay at Herb Cottage, great value, would happily stay again!

The lane leading to Herb Cottage wasn't in the best condition after rains, but this is outside Herb Cottage's control, maybe a responsibility of the local council.

The ambience of the cottage was inviting and comfortable. Yet artistically styled with flare and imagination both inside and outside the cottage. The hospitality of the hostess was second to none. The cottage was in the perfect location for taking in the splendour of the local Manor houses and the town. A perfect relaxing end to the day was sitting in the garden enjoying the beauty of the Wiltshire countryside, including a varied and wonderful display of wildlife. I had an amazing time.

Rustic charm in a great location. Plenty of parking. Pretty garden with lots of flowers and wildlife. Suzanne really looked after us and felt like home from home, she cooked a great breakfast and we loved the home made marmalade and fruit compote. Our breakfast took us all through the day. Extremely quiet at night and we both had a great nights sleep in comfortable bed with lovely clean linen. We would love to come back again.

Nothing not to like.

The delightful host Suzanne wanted to please at every stage,and even last night made me supper so nice had been on a music and was so busy such a kind thing to do. The place is such a great retreat for Artists,Musicians who love quiet places perfect for me as both these apply. The kindest thing the host did was to take to the music school yesterday morning as a pensioner myself this perfect and areived 10mins before classes as no buses seem to run in this out of way place,. but as I live in a busy city Happy just to go to country area where birdsong is the main thing.

I just cannot think of any negative points.

The gardens are beautiful. Room was lovely and bed was amazing. Only two guest rooms in the property so it was very quiet. The property owner, Suzanne was a treasure. She booked reservations when we couldn’t get in for dinner, she recommended taking the train to Bath and gave us a ride to the train station. Full English breakfast and tea in our room.

A little difficult to find but taxis know exactly where it is.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Suzanne’s charming countryside home! The house was impeccably clean and well-maintained, and the beautiful garden provided a serene place to relax. Suzanne was a fantastic host, always kind and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The breakfasts she prepared for us were delicious and the perfect start to our day. Additionally, the surrounding countryside was stunning, offering breathtaking views and peaceful walks. We highly recommend Suzanne’s place for a delightful and tranquil countryside retreat.

Herb Cottage is a 18th Century farmhouse with a delightful garden in the countryside, 2 miles from Bradford-on-Avon. We’re from Canada but spent much of our childhoods in England, which we still love. We wanted to spend a week in a bed & breakfast where we could see fields with sheep (they turned out to be bullocks instead). Herb Cottage was even better than our dreams. Our room and bathroom were lovely, clean, and spacious. Fresh flowers on deep stone window sills and gorgeous pieces of pottery and other treasures here and there. The very best part of Herb Cottage, though, was our warm, generous host, Suzanne. Breakfasts were superb, and she went out of her way to cater to our special needs—my husband is vegan. Full English with homemade marmalade and stewed fruit from her garden. She shared with us the area’s fascinating history and suggested all kind of places to visit and explore.

We loved it all and Suzanne.

Bradford on Avon is a lovely place to be. Suzanne's place is tucked away in the English countryside. It's located perfectly for a day trip to Bath and is so quiet & peaceful. Suzanne, our host, was knowledgeable of the area, and it was like staying at Grandma's. We loved our stay there.

Breakfast buffet of garden fruits, muesli, etc very good - all fresh, followed by cooked breakfast to order. The owner was very friendly and informative and welcoming. The room was comfortable with a great view across open fields. The whole package was a charming country cottage retreat!
