The building is absolutely beautiful from outside on the grounds to the actual building it’s self and inside also nice

I didn’t like that although I was travelling solo and had a family room there’s literally no plug sockets in a room so if I was to come back with family where would we charge our phones?

Lovely building, beautiful area. We had a family room for two of us but it was the last room so overpaid for the two of us but as it was meant to be for four, it's a good price! Quiet and peaceful. Lovely! Receptionist was amazing and showed us to our room.

Cooked breakfast was small, not value for money, even though you had options for toast, cereal and yogurts, the price is expensive for what you receive. The cook was also the waiter and clearing tables. Tables not being reset and no option to get yourself a replacement knife and fork, as I said only the chef on. Understand it is a low operation and low costs but a few tweaks could make the experience a little better.

The fact we could take our dogs with us was a massive bonus. The room was clean and tidy, throws were provided to keep beds clean from dogs though, we did bring our own. Sue on reception was marvelous, made us feel very welcome, gave us a tour and, made sure we had everthing we needed. We all slept really well, beds were comfy and clean. The room felt cool, even with the high temp. outside.

The only thing I could comment on is the outside picnic tables. As the weather was so warm, we ate outside in the morning. It would have been an improvement to have had some patio tables and chairs rather than the creaky old wooden benches.

The staff were amazing! They went out of their way to make us feel at home and it was very apparent that they love this amazing property as much as we did! Lots of rooms where you can sit and read our watch TV and it is really close to a fantastic Indian restaurant surprisingly situated in the lion and fiddle pub.

The location is amazing. It is a beautiful building. The staff were lovely and helpful. The pool was lovely. Breakfast was great.

Unfortunately the shower door was broken. The beds were a little hard. There was no soap in the bathroom to wash your hands.

It’s a beautiful property from the outside but is sad on the inside.

No hand soap in the bathroom. The bedroom was very tired and and signs of damp on the bedroom wall. The main reception was small and the main rooms not used to their best advantage. All in all a beautiful house but needs money spent on it to make the most of it. It’s a shame for us because it’s so handy for what we need but we’ll go elsewhere in future. There’s a huge lack of staff because breakfast was a fiasco and the poor cook was doing, the waiting and all the cooking!! Poor woman was run ragged. What should and could have a been a lovely stay was spoilt sadly.

Lovely olde worlde Victorian grade II listed B&B in beautiful settings. Our room was spacious, cosy and clean. We had an issue with our toilet being blocked a couple of times but the issue was quickly resolved both times. There's a kettle with instant coffee and tea in the room. The shower cubicle could do with a little shelf/holder for your soap or shampoo but otherwise fine. The full English breakfast was ok and the staff was really polite and helpful. This is not a 5* hotel so we didn't expect luxury but we loved our stay and, for the price, cannot complain and will definitely return.

We didn't like Trowbridge. The area doesn't have much to offer but Fieldways location is ideal for visiting Bath and other lovely areas of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

The staff were very accommodating and welcoming. I had left some items in my room on checkout and the cleaners and staff safely stored them for me and informed me as soon as they found out. The breakfast was very filling and dining room set in an authentic period library in keeping with the property. It's not easy to maintain such a building so I appreciate the effort to keep features like this where they could.

It's a shame the pool and changing rooms are under construction and redevelopment.

The building is absolutely beautiful. Check in was easy and the lady on reception showed us to our room. Room was spacious. The main part of the house (mansion) is stunning. Original floors, panelling and magnificent fireplaces. Breakfast was good. All of the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. We loved our stay.

We didn't have a tv in the room but apparently other rooms did. When we wanted to watch TV we went down to the snug where there is a massive TV and leather chairs to sit in though. I can't say it affected anything about our stay, but the furniture was a bit tired, and the lampshades in the bedroom weren't our cup of tea!
