Breakfast is on a menu, so you don't help yourself. We only had a croissant, with jam. You could have had hot items as well. The views are great, and the rooms a good size. Quirky furniture. Staff very pleasant. Food was fine.
I didn't like the colour of the walls in my family room. depressing brown colour. A single road up to the property was a bit hair raising as you can only have a car 5' wide? there is another route, which was a lot easier. Bear in mind, you are staying in a pub, and as such, I had people outside my bedroom window, which was a bit noisy as I had my window open.

From the moment we walked into the pub, we were welcomed by friendly staff and a host of fairy lights. The view from the pub was incredible looking right across Wiltshire hills like a painting and we immediately felt at home. The room was lovely and big, with great features, a huge comfortable bed and pillows and everything we needed for our stay. Lovely shower and towels too. All staff were attentive and friendly and the breakfast menu was varied and so tasty cooked fresh just for us. The pub had a lovely friendly atmosphere with a mixture of locals and visitors and it was a pleasure to be there. The lunch menu looked amazing! A real haven of a pub. We will be back! Thank you
Nothing.

Happy smiling staff, they were very knowledgeable of the area. Very quiet, we had a wonderful nights sleep. Comfortable room with fresh milk in the fridge. Fresh coffee too! Lovely big, clean bed. Tastefully furnished with ensuite bathroom. Lovely toiletries. Breakfast was fantastic, freshly cooked and the hot toast was a bonus. Again, lovely fresh coffee or tea was served by different staff to the evening, but again they couldn't do enough. Definitely worth the price. This is a hidden gem with beautiful scenery and the most gorgeous sunsets

Getting to the location is a little crazy if you're not used to steep hills and single track lanes, but once there it's definitely worth the trip. The pub itself is lovely and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The view from the beer garden is amazing and the sunset was incredible, although not guaranteed. Best of all though was my room which was absolutely beautiful. Really a very special room and a real pleasure to stay in.
There wasn't really anything I didn't like, it was all really good, very happy indeed.

We received a warm welcome upon arrival. The location was lovely and the views amazing. It was also a great base for exploring Bath and other surrounding villages and beauty spots. The food was excellent both for our evening meal and breakfast. Everything was well prepared and of really high quality. We'd definitely stay here again when visiting the area.
The stairs down to the rooms was a little tricky if you've mobility problems, but you can access from the car park so much easier and a blessing when carrying bags.

Beautiful pub in the most gorgeous setting. The views of the countryside are sublime. Fantastic pub manager, Ioan. Friendly, helpful and welcoming. Delicious breakfast. Comfortable bed and tastefully decorated bedroom with slice of heaven views.
Nothing not to like but just a few points to raise. The bases of the sliding doors on the shower are off their tracks and need to be fixed/ replaced asap so that they don’t come off completely and hurt someone. An anti slip mat in the shower is also a good idea.

Jasmine and the rest of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We were attending a family funeral nearby and they had got our room ready early, so we were able to drop off our things. They made the buffet for the wake after, which was delicious, as was the breakfast in the morning. Poached eggs were perfect. The room was quiet and a good size. Views amazing.
Only small thing was the net curtains were ripped. However, didn't feel it needed them, as they blocked the beautiful view of the countryside.

The location was great with beautiful views. The staff were very helpful, especially Jasmin, who attended to all our needs. The room was nice but was on the lower floor & there were tables located right outside the room, which was a bit disappointing. The breakfast was really tasty too. Overall, it was a nice stay.
There was outside seating for guests right outside our room which we weren't very pleased about. The water in the sink was very slow going down.

Amazing views, perfect location for dog walking. Parking not so easy when busy & electric charger space used by non electric car! Bed really comfy & room very spacious - plenty of room for big dog too. Breakfast & dinner both excellent & staff very welcoming, friendly & accommodating.
The noise of the kitchen directly above our bedroom during dinner service was exceptionally loud, like they were about to come crashing through the ceiling at times. Thankfully by the time we’d come back from the bar and dinner was over and kitchen cleared up, the noise had stopped. You couldn’t stay in your room relaxing for the night, or have a long lie in the next morning though!

Fabulous location and rooms were beautifully appointed. Staff very friendly and we ate in the pub which was great. Breakfast was exceptional and we appreciated the complimentary procecco and also a room fan as it was a warm weekend. It provided great value for money and we enjoyed a walk around Box Hill common from the door as we were able to take our dog also. Thank you
Some of the bar and connecting corridors looked a little tired in decor but the bedrooms were spot on and I am just being picky as you asked.
