Lovely place off the beaten track but still within easy reach of local attractions, in our case Longleat Safari Park & House, with a lovely restaurant and great food, so no having to go looking elsewhere. Continental breakfast was good, cereals & milk, orange juice and croissants etc with tea & coffee making facilities, all provided on a tray in the room, good choice of sandwiches/rolls provided the night before and kept in the room fridge for the next day to take away were great too. Staff all very friendly and informative. A little noise from the kitchen until closing time in Room 6 but wasn't a problem, otherwise very quiet.

Nothing to not like at all about the place, it was perfect for our one night stopover. An observation, which was passed on to a member of staff.......The shower tap in the room was awkward to operate and the water exceptionally hot, changing the temperature was very difficult, however this can be remedied and not a reason for complaint.

Staff were friendly and worked really hard to make guests' experience as good as it could be. Breakfast included a sandwich which was a bonus as we took that for lunch. Very hot day but rooms had been cooled with air conditioning or windows opened, depending on orientation. Little table and chairs in each room to have breakfast at, plenty of milk in fridge and generous tea and coffee making options. It felt like care was taken. Comfortable under cover outside dining/drinking area with plenty of tables and chairs. Lovely village setting. Good bedding. Like the hangers and pegs for clothes. Rooms a good size.

Bedrooms were a bit tired and bathroom smelled musty. Could do with a surface to put things on in the bathroom. Bedroom furniture more shabby than chic and slightly awkwardly placed.

The service was good from the greeting and explaining where everything was to serving food in the restaurant for an evening meal, polite staff which I find is important in places like this.

The only thing I could possibly say and it would only be me being fussy is that they give you sandwiches made night before to store in your mini fridge for morning, a couple of cereal options and a croissant ... but there isn't any hot breakfast like cooked full English or porridge or like a bacon sandwich/ sausage its only cold breakfast ... but like I say that's the only thing otherwise perfect place to come and stay!!

We had an excellent stay! The staff are lovely, helpful and efficient. The room was very nicely decorated, really clean, and the bathroom massive, with a large walk-in shower, plus we had lots of nice soft towels too. The bed was also very comfortable. There is tea/coffee making facilities, plus there is a small fridge in the room that has everything you need for breakfast, plus a selection of cereal and croissants. You even choose a sandwich which the kitchen makes up and it's delivered to your room, so that you have lunch to take with you when you leave the next morning. An excellent idea in the absence of a hearty breakfast!

I don't think I can think of anything we didn't like.

We were visiting aqua sana so the proximity to longleat was a plus. Restaurant was excellent, staff very nice and room/bathroom well presented. Glad that everything closed at 10pm so it was nice and quiet. We didn’t investigate the surrounding area but it looked quite pretty from what we did see.

The twin beds being pushed together to make a double, combined with an extremely soft mattress made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. I kept rolling inbetween the mattresses and woke up with a painful back. Would’ve been handy to read on booking.com about the lack of cooked breakfast, the owner did msg very quickly after booking but would’ve been good to know in advance. The breakfast offered was nice, sandwiches were an odd choice but we had them later in the day.

Lovely room, clean and spacious perfect for a two night stay. The breakfast was nice and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We would absolutely think about returning again. The Italian restaurant food is just excellent was a beautiful meal and lovely location. There was nothing not to love about the whole experience.

The only complaint we would have is The shower did not work properly it was extremely hot and we could not turn the temperature down plus the head shower part did not work at all, but other than this the room was great.

lovely room and very comfy and nicely decorated. large bed which was great n we both slept well. lovely restaurant downstairs to have our evening meal. the staff were so polite and friendly and lovely atmosphere. breakfast in our room was a novel idea and the Sandwich for lunch the next day was really tasty. lots of parking too. would definitely recommend and would use again

Had to go along a few narrow very dark roads to get there but worth the trip. had an issue with the bathroom window but understand brand new windows going in 2 to 3 weeks time so will be great. worth a visit here again

The room was beautiful, the bed comfortable, the food was amazing, and we loved the breakfast and sandwiches. It was quiet. Very spacious. The shower was huge. Absolutely delightful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. And the area was stunning. Great to reach the areas needed. We also had no trouble parking.

The plates in the room still had a bit of jam on, and a stain was on the cover that comes off the bed. It wasn't terrible as we didn't need to use these items, but were aware of it. The shower also didn't change temp very well so it was quite hot, but still usable.

We needed a late check-in and received a text from piotr with the key safe number and very clear instructions. A very hot night, a large fan had been left on in our room, and the windows open, which was very thoughtful. The room was spotless and a good size. Plenty of tea and coffee, fast boil kettle which after a 6 hour drive was appreciated. Small fridge in the room containing milk, 2x fresh orange, 2x water, 2 x sandwiches, jam, marmalade and butter for the croissants. Good choice of cereal. The bed was very comfortable with 2 x good quality pillows. The shower had great power. We will definitely book this again and hopefully stay longer next time, great value for the price

The quilt was very heavy no spare pillows in the room, not a problem for us, but others might find it a problem

This is the second time we have stayed at The Angel Inn and we love this place. Tucked away in a small village and appears to be incredibly popular indeed. Rooms are great, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast set up was perfect for us (hence why we stayed again) - everything you need in the room plus a sandwich for your onward journey!

This was not the fault of the property but it was roasting in our room. There was a portable air conditioner in the room (the windows didn't open very far) but too noisy to use at night - so didn't sleep well. Like I say, this is not the fault of the owners at all.
