We received a good welcome and our bags were carried to our room. The breakfast was more than adequate and of an excellent quality, The location of the hotel suited our requirements for the stay.

The Hotel needs upgrading in most respects. However the room was large ,had everything we needed and everything worked. The hotel is the only one in the village and is a short distance from the M4, so there is certainly potential for reviving its fortunes in the future. The size of the Hotel and its car park, and it's position opposite the village church could also provide opportunities for functions.

It was very convenient for my volunteer 2 days at Dauntsey horse trials few miles away at Great Somerford. Lovely village, plenty of parking, quirky as a listed building so not what you would expect from a modern building. Excellent bed linen and towels, bed comfortable and standard facilities in the room. Excellent breakfast I really enjoyed. Very professional staff.

Was not too keen on my room facing the road, although quiet road there were occasional cars passing through the night.

The location is great and within good access to Bath and the Wiltshire countryside including ancient monuments and other places of interest. Sutton Benger is very quiet and so this meant a good peaceful nights sleep. The Bell is on a through road so very easy to find with a big car park. crisp white linen and towels and comfortable pillows . very clean and cosy.

A superb 500 year old property, beautiful oak beamed features and stone fireplaces. It was quirky and comfortable. The manager personally looked after me and couldn't have done more to make my stay the best experience. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone. What a lovely host and fantastic chef who made the best breakfast.

Plenty of parking. Liked the room and the manager was very welcoming. I was served a very nice glass of red wine at the bar and my bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent.

I arrived after 9pm and there was nowhere to eat (either at the hotel or locally) ... and also, breakfast ended at 8.30am (I would have preferred a little longer in bed!)

The Bell House is a quintessential English inn dating back over 500 years. It was easy to find, had ample parking and the host, Chris, was the perfect host. We had a great dinner and full English breakfast served at Bell House and Chris provided us with local history and conversation that made the stay especially enjoyable. I was traveling with family, including adult sons, and we had a wonderful room that accommodated all of us. I would stay here again.

There wasn't a thing that we didn't like.

Room 4 was nice, lovely big comfy bed. On arrival, I was a bit worried as there was no stand up shower, but the bath ran so quickly it was a treat to have a nice bath before setting off in the morning. Excellent breakfast and great welcome by the owner.

WIFI in room 4 was hit and miss as was mobile signal (on EE), hairdryer was underpowered and had to keep finger on button whilst using it, so I would advise bringing your own.

Brilliant host. Excellent breakfast. Chris is a really nice host that prides himself on his hotel. Very friendly. Clean rooms and a lovely breakfast. Have stayed a couple times and hope to stay again in the future.

There was nothing not to like. My reservation exceeded my expectations.

The welcome from the proprietor was great and the accommodation comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and good value for money.

The only thing I would say is that the exterior of the building is looking a little tired and in need of a bit of TLC, but it wouldn't put me off staying there again.

Large old style bedrooms each with a bathroom. Good mattresses on beds. Large free car park.

Wi Fi only available downstairs ie in lounge or hallway. Situated near M4 and constant loud drone of traffic all around the small town which spoilt it.
