Very friendly staff. The room was beautifully decorated and presented and was immaculately clean. Breakfast was from 8.00 am and was very substantial and delicious.

Unfortunately the bed was very bouncy so a lot of partner disturbance and made it seem small (it was only a double anyway). The floor in our room was very squeaky so when you got up to use the bathroom you woke your partner. The bathroom and shower very small but the shower had great pressure. The kitchen closes at 3 pm on a Sunday, we arrived after that so had to go back into town for dinner, just something to be aware of if you arrive late on a Sunday, other days of the week no problem.

Beautiful location, friendly and knowledgable staff, who went out of their way to accommodate our requests. Fantastic customer service. The food was excellent. We ended up having all of our meals at the hotel rather than venturing out, as the food and service was so good. The home made pies were some of the best we've eaten! The desserts were incredible.

The bathroom facilities. The shower was too small and the door was broken. The water pressure needs and shower facilities need improving overall. The bathroom had a strong smell of disinfectant. However, the room did not smell and was a good size and well-presented. It was very clean.

, the building was a stunning old inn with really helpful friendly staff who made you feel very welcome, the food was really great quality and you could see the pride they put on the menu and the food, we had both an evening meal And breakfast, couldn’t find fault with any of it. Room was well set out and with a clean shower and bathroom area. It was really a lovely place to stay

Air con or some type of fan outside but it wasn’t too noisy, just could be heard

I was working in the area and the Tollgate Inn was well located and easily accessed. Carpark is plenty big enough for all the customers. Staff member on site when i arrived was friendly and helpful, the room was a good site and nice and clean. Food and service was excellent.

Small gripes but the TV remote did not work properly, the door to the room has a window in it that lets the light through as does the blind on the bedroom window, could do with curtains.

Clean and comfortable room in annex connected to characterful old public house. Members of staff could not have been more friendly or welcoming. Excellent evening meal served in pub. The third time we have stayed at the Tollgate, and will definitely stay again.

Fixtures and fittings, especially shower room, were starting to get tired, but that did not detract from the comfort of our stay.

The Inn is positioned perfectly for Bath and is within an easy driving distance of a number of beautiful locations and places of interest. It is a genuine BnB with a fabulous breakfast to set you up for the day. The room was very good, clean and nicely presented with all the expected facilities. Staff were all friendly and welcoming.

Pleasantly quirky room in lovely old village pub was clean and comfortable. Members of staff could not have been more friendly or welcoming. Safe off-road parking for my motorcycle. Evening meal in the pub was absolutely superb, of restaurant quality.

Being over 6 foot tall there wasn't a lot of headroom in the bedroom, but that's down to the age of the building, obviously cannot be changed, and didn't in anyway detract from an enjoyable stay.

The evening meals were extremely good. Plenty of choice and well cooked and presented. Our room was very clean and well maintained.

We were unaware that, in order to reach our room, we would have to climb a steep stone outdoor staircase. This meant that it was a little difficult to carry our luggage to our room. We would probably have taken 2 smaller pieces of luggage than 1 large one had we been aware.

Breakfast was excellent although only available for a short time. Excellent location for West Wilts XC. Staff were very helpful.

We were warned there were stairs and could cope but the step in the bedroom was difficult to negotiate. The beams were very low. So was the bed which made it difficult to get in and out of. Perhaps the site should say not suitable for anyone with limited mobility.

Clean well appointed & decorated with plenty of storage. Fridge welcome addition as we visited during hot weather. We enjoyed an excellent meal in the covered outside dining area. Cooked to order breakfast good but would have liked the choice of fresh fruit & yoghurt & croissants.

Whilst the room was well decorated, the paintwork in the corridor needs refreshing & cleaning.
