Really enjoyed our stay at The Castle Inn. It is a lovely English pub with gorgeous beer garden. The room was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were all wonderful and very welcoming. The breakfast was phenomenal! The town Bradford on Avon is absolutely beautiful to walk around and the Inn is very close to everything and a very short drive to Bath.

We loved everything, however, if you are a light sleeper and staying on a weekend, the noise does travel from the pub downstairs. It is also on a roundabout so traffic noise may be problem but we found it fine and were there on a very busy Saturday night. The shower pressure is not fantastic but the water was hot and the rain shower was lovely.

Location and views from room over the town and beyond to the hills and countryside. The building was lovely and the pub inside too,very rustic.There was a sheltered garden with plenty of seating. All the staff were helpful and friendly and had a smile. Bradford on Avon is a really pretty town,with traditional stone buildings and houses and having the canal and river is a bonus. There's also a mainline station within a 10 minute walk with frequent trains to Bath.

No dislikes. When we arrived our room wasn't ready. The staff were very apologetic and we were offered a drink and discount on our evening meal which we felt more than compensated. Some people have mentioned the hill up and down to the town,which wasn't a problem for us,although it was a very hot day when we arrived,so it could be an issue for some.

Just exceeded our expectations. Was a little worried booking a pub / inn rather than a hotel but it was marvellous - comfortable, quite swish, lovely staff and a breakfast with a good range of choices that was beautifully cooked (we were able to have poached eggs, avocado and sourdough - I’d figured on bacon baps or a full English only with it being a pub!) The staff were so responsive - they saved us parking spaces and then when one was not accessible as someone else had parked over the lines, they quickly moved one of their own cars to ensure we could park - so kind.

It’s a bit of a steep walk from the town if you pop down for dinner etc but fine for most people to manage.

We stayed in one of 4 rooms in the pub. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was huge. The staff were great and the pub was a perfect place to use for dinner and breakfast. There was tea and coffee making facilities and we were left a complementary bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

The room was cold when we checked in but we soon warmed it up. Would have been good for this to have been done in advance. The water was very hot but the shower lacked power. The TV didn’t work and despite asking two member of staff it was never fixed. The WiFi in the room is very weak and need boosting.

The room was pleasant and fantastically clean. Breakfast was lovely, really delicious and the pub surroundings were gorgeous. Bed was comfy.

The tea/coffee on offer wasn't great though and instead of 3 small chocolates, it would be better to have biscuits. Always wonderful to have filter or real coffee in the rooms in this is possible. Bathroom was good but again, offer some other toiletries not just shower gel - shampoo, conditioner and body lotion at a minimum. The room was very very noisy while the pub was open but after closing it was very peaceful. Overall, it was a lovely stay but little tweaks could make this place amazing.

Fabulous place , lovely decor, really great rooms ,very comfortable bed, excellent on suite bathroom. Breakfast and evening meals were first class. Friendly and enthusiastic staff who seem to really care about the service they provide. Ideal location and warm, friendly atmosphere . Would thoroughly recommend.

If I was to be ultra pickie, a plug socket under the table at the side of the bed for phone charger, but that said there were others in the room sono real hardship

Lovely warm welcome, staff were cheerful and friendly. We were early and it was a pleasant surprise that our room was ready so we could dump our bags and go exploring. The parking on site is a real boon given Bradford on Avon's extensive use of yellow lines. The food was nice. both evening meal and breakfast. Room wise, it was very spacious with a lovely view towards Westbury White Horse. Thank you so much for giving us plenty of milks for tea and coffee in the room (not the usual meagre 4-tiny-pots that many establishments provide), and the chocolate was very much appreciated too!

The music was rather loud at breakfast time, however after asking, the volume was lowered.

Bedroom layout could be improved - very large room but bed located in a corner making access impossible against wall. Bathroom would benefit with some TLC (tile grouting etc). Visitors should be aware of the hill that needs to be climbed on returning from town centre

Friendly staff and it was very warm.

We weren’t told that there would not be a full hot breakfast on the second day but a continental breakfast that would be left outside our bedroom door the night before which we declined to have even though it was not refunded. We booked assuming there would be a cooked breakfast each day and probably would not have booked had we known it was just going to be cereal and porridge left outside the door

When booking, we were not told that breakfast on a Monday is continental in the room due to the kitchen being closed. This was not an issue as it was the day we went home, but I think it would help if this was explained on the booking information pages. And….. please consider some individually wrapped pastries, rather than just dry cereal.
