Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Rooms clean and well-equipped and bathrooms modernized. Location very central, if a little traffic-noisy at night.

Really only two things: I could not get wi-fi at all in room 17 which was a bit inconvenient with work to do. Also, I was lucky enough to park under the arches but ended up trying not to move the car all weekend because of the hassle of parking/re-parking. My friends arriving later were not so lucky and had to keep checking the time and moving their cars.

The staff upgraded me for free from a single to an enormous double room. It was a hot day and there was a lovely ceiling fan in the room to keep the whole room cool. It felt very luxurious. The staff were incredibly helpful and had a huge lockable space for bikes which they informed my about in advance by email (as I asked). They were very bike aware and said they get many cyclists every year who are holidaying on the SusTrans Route 4 which I was taking. The breakfast was absolutely delicious!

The rooms and decor in the hotel were a little outdated, perhaps, but honestly I don't see this as a problem they were clean and comfortable and had their own charm.

I'd stayed regularly before covid and this was my first time back. I was delighted to see the improvements. What a difference a spruce-up can make. Everything is fresh and clean and the makeover has made this dreary, tired hotel come back to life, wonderful to see. My room was so comfortable and well-equipped. The hospitality tray had bottled water, tea, coffee, milk as well as biscuits. The bed was large and I had a great night's sleep. The bathroom has a bath as well as a shower and the towels were extra large. Soap and shampoo were provided. Breakfast is included in the room rate but I didn't eat on this occasion. The staff were lovely and very friendly. As I wasn't having breakfast, I was offered a free drink in the bar instead, a lovely gesture.

There's limited parking here. You can park in the area underneath the arches off the main road but it's small and awkward to access. There's free parking around the side and back streets or a pay-and-display car park opposite.

I love this place, it has recently been refurbished throughout. The staff are super friendly, and do a wonderful job. The rooms are big, the beds are comfortable, and the hospitality tray has biscuits, bottled water, and hot chocolate as well as tea and coffee. The rooms I've stayed in had a bath and shower. The towels are big and soft. The bar shows lots of sports and has a very good food menu. The breakfast is lovely. The hotel is close to the high street and supermarkets.

The parking is awkward but there is free street parking close by or a public car park opposite which might charge between 08-00 and 18-00.

Phenomenally friendly and helpful staff. Very nice ensuite bathroom, modern plenty of hot water, very clean and well finished room and fluffy white towels in the bathroom. Room temperature easy to adjust. Bed could have been more comfortable. Very pleasant stay. Coffee in the morning was fresh and very nice. I didn't have time to stop for a full breakfast but the croissant was perfectly warmed through and crisp and delicious. Staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay at The Castle Hotel again and recommend it. Also very easy to park there and even if the hotel parking is full, there is a local car park directly opposite. Good location in the centre of Devizes.

The bathroom, the quality of bathroom fittings, the cleanliness everywhere and the helpful staff, and lovely hot bath.

The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They are very good with their allergens. The breakfast is delicious, excellent quality, cooked just perfect andserved with a smile.. For anyone who enjoys a pint of guiness, their guiness is top quality. Rooms spacious, very clean and very comfy. Not only tea & coffee making facilities but bottled water as standard too. Location is absolutely perfect.

Liked everything about this fabulous hotel

The breakfasts were excellent, cooked well and not too much. The room was very good, very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was great, not being right on the High Street, but very handy for the shops and car parks. The staff were really nice, efficient and polite. The Manager was great, getting stuck in to all manners of jobs needed to be done. We were able to make a change to our booking without any bother. Thank you.

It felt a little strange that no night porter was available, but we were handed a key to allow us entry and exit. The hotel is at a busy junction with heavy goods vehicles running through the night, but it really didn't affect our quality of sleep.

I have stayed at the Castle Hotel in the past and highly recommend it. Location is excellent for exploring Devizes, right in the centre and, for me, a quick bus ride up to Avebury. The room was comfortable, good shower, and good choices for breakfast, which was all table service with a choices sheet to fill in (and change as you chose). Definitely will be back there.

The was nothing I didn't like.

The staff kindly got our room ready early so we could check in and get to our function on time. Warm welcome and efficient check in. Decent sized room & bathroom, comfortable bed & delicious cooked breakfast (apart from the coffee - sorry!)

Parking - limited parking at the hotel. Convenient car park across the road, but not suitable for long stay. More power points in the room - nowhere to plug in my straighteners near a mirror & the coffee served at breakfast was 'meh'.

We ordered what we wanted for breakfast, so it was freshly cooked and at the time we wanted. The people there were friendly and helpful. I felt safe and secure there as the staff appeared to keep an eye on the stairs to the rooms. Although our room was on the road side of the Hotel the traffic noise did not disrupt our sleep. The Hotel was a short walk away from the Caen locks and canal - great waterside walks.

Although the Hotel had limited parking - they could not reserve a space, there was road side parking for 2 hours between 9 and 5 - so as we were out and about during the day this was not a problem.
