The staff are incredible at this hotel. Every single one of them from the owner to the waiting staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in a beautiful part of the Cotswolds and great for those on short trips or attending weddings near by. Breakfast in the morning was brilliant. Beds were very comfortable. Nice spacious shower and bathroom.

The WiFi took several hours to work Couldn’t figure out the heating - it was quite nippy the weekend we stayed but the heating would switch on for a short moment and then switch off very quickly The building is quite creaky and walls are thin - this wasn’t an issue for us at all as we wear earplugs but might be for anyone who’s a light sleeper!

Everything from start to finish was Superb. staff all very attentive and helpful right down to time to leave.cant fault this place. Countryside setting ,huge bed, very clean and quiet. Massive bonus to have an Indian restaurant inside , spot on decor and plenty of room everywhere. Patio doors open while eating evening meal, leading to sitting area outside very pleasant. Waiter that we had was a great character with the right funny banter for each customer..nothing was too much trouble for him, even at breakfast, he's an asset. I'm assuming we checked out with the owner such an amiable guy and very helpful to us . He showed us round the new rooms in the courtyard and 'wowser' to the new cottage..fab. yes spot on decor as it should be.he introduced us to a new town nearby which we loved and will return there. Indian food was "delish"..as was breakfast. No complaints whatever and well presented..

Hotel was really lovely, room was spacious and clean. We received a lovely welcome, room was refreshed every day, with plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and nice biscuits. Had a great meal at Sassas which is located in the hotel and enjoyed a very nice breakfast served by Lydia who was friendly and polite. Garden area was really lovely, enjoyed a cocktail made by Foyez . Chatted to Frank who was friendly and asked about our stay and informed us of the best places to visit. Would recommend this lovely hotel, would definitely stay again in the future

My Mum & I stayed in this hotel for a trip to Badminton Horse Trials. All the staff in this hotel are super friendly! We brought our spaniel and they couldn't have been more welcoming to her, she even got her own sausage at breakfast! The room was clean and comfy and a perfect base for us to head out and explore. The Indian restaurant was amazing! We ate here twice and the food was brilliant both times!

If I'm going to be really picky the only thing that could be improved is the bathroom in our room could do with updating but at present it does the job.

The friendliness of the owners is at the top of my list. They were welcoming, helpful, informative about local attractions, and available for a great deal of the time. Breakfast was excellent.

I'm not a big fan of Indian food, which is the primary menu for the attached restaurant, although what I had on the first night that I stayed was pretty good. But I went to a pub down the way for the rest of my meals other than breakfast. I also really would like to have had local English beers available at the bar. I know that the bar and restaurant are a separate enterprise and not run by the owners of the hotel. But it was a bit disappointing.

Stayed several times before. It’s a wonderfully, friendly, informal and unfussy hotel. Super staff. Huge car park! Always made to feel welcome., and the cooked-to-order breakfasts are just great. The restaurant is now given over entirely to Indian cuisine in the evening and is excellent, but it’s a shame that British cuisine is not also catered for at the same time. Personally I think it’s a bit of a mistake, as not everyone necessarily wants to eat ‘Indian’ every evening. However, there is the option of a local pub only a 100 yds away which serves very good traditional pub grub and more, so all is not lost! The hotel is very clean although a touch care worn but that’s not surprising considering the effect that Covid must have had in the loss of income. I’m just glad the hotel is still open for business as it’s just perfectly placed as a base to visit so many of the Cotswolds towns. We’ll definitely be going back to Pettifers!

Nothing really. Our shower could have done with a bit more ‘oomph’ but that was about it really.

Hotel was lovely and comfortable the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The rooms are dated but for the price paid it was expected. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms warm. We ate in the Indian restaurant and the food was absolutely amazing, breakfast was nice too. The bar is a lovely chilled vibe. We went to the pub a minutes walk away for a few drinks it’s a lovely pub but if eating you need to book. You have to like dogs to come here and we did wish we brought ours after visiting.

The breakfast was basic. Maybe have apple and orange juice out so you can help yourself.

Staff were incredibly friendly on arrival and throughout. We decided to eat at the hotel after a day of sight seeing and it did not disappoint. The food was beautiful. The The waiting staff were friendly and knowledgeable. After dinner we stayed in the lounge area and played board games which were provided by the hotel.

As with most of the reviews, the negative was that outside of the main hotel / lounge area, it looked tired and in need of a little TLC . Our room was more than adequate but the bathrooms needed a little updating. This said, it did not detract from what was a lovely short break. Breakfast was basic but nice and fresh.

Lovely property, beautifully decorated lounge and bar area , very friendly staff from reception to dining . Good sized room and large comfortable bed with good quality bedding . The food in the hotel Restaurant was excellent , it is a separate business but they work from the property and also run the bar .

Room was a little dated and needed modernising especially the bathroom , although it was a good size the shower was near on useless , took ages to get hot and was barely any pressure coming through and then it got boiling hot and if you added the tiniest bit of cold it went freezing , very frustrating . The dated room did not bother us as it was very clean and comfortable but not having a good shower in the room is annoying , we were going to mention this on check out but there was no one on the reception when we left .

The location was lovely, the room was very spacious and the staff were all super friendly. The bar area downstairs had nice decor and there was a lovely outside seating area. The breakfast also tasted great and was served quickly.

Unfortunately the cleaning of the room could’ve been better. There were cob webs all around the ceiling, above the beds and in the bathroom. If someone went round with a feather duster this could’ve been sorted in a few minutes. There was also a lot of dust across the tops of the curtains. Again this would’ve been a quick fix if someone quickly ran over it with a hoover. The breakfast was lovely but it was a shame there was only one rasher of bacon and no bread with the breakfast.
