The facilities were great! There was a gym, pool and sauna. The jacuzzi is currently being fixed. There is a restaurant and bar. The reception is manned 24 hours and there is ample parking. There is also a garage with a small M&S on the edge of the car park which makes getting petrol and snacks easy. In the reception area there is free water and squash and they will refill water bottles at the bar. There was an outside area to enjoy drinks. On request, you can have hot chocolate with the teas and coffees in the room. Toiletries available for anyone who has forgotten something. There is an offer for a discount for breakfast if you book it on arrival. Very close to Coate Water, a pub and the hospital. Easy access to the A419, leading to M4.

The jacuzzi was broken during my visit (although currently being repaired). It was all a bit soulless. They only take cards at the bar.

Room was clean and fresh when we arrived. Staff were amazing and very helpful. A good breakfast in the morning was received, excellent value for money. A good range of drinks and food choices in the restaurant.

This is more on booking.com - When we made the booking, the booking.com website mentioned a pool and children could use, this was one of the reasons for booking the hotel. However after the booking confirmation was received, I received an email from booking.com that the pool was closed due to building work. Which was disappointing and not good from booking.com. Why advertise a swimming pool and then tell clients after the booking is made that the pool is closed.

I've stayed in diff levels of hotel. I will start with not even a negative, just an observation that the rooms/halls were getting in need of a freshen up in terms of paint really. Now as for the rest. From welcome to leaving. Extremely lovely staff. super helpful and each and every one was lovely. The reception/restaurant/ exercise area were fabulous. The bedroom had amazing air con. Lovely. simple and stylish decor, sofa bed was very tired and needed changing as you could feel every spring. Bathroom great, compact and super clean. I have worked in so many houses as a house keeper, and although not perfect I would say this is the cleanest accommodation I've ever stayed in, superb! I highly commend all the staff on a really lovely stay. Ample parking, nice grounds to have a walk round, secluded and not a through road.

Just observed the paint work like skirtings/ walls needs a freshen up. Only thing i really didn't like was smoking was allowed in the courtyard where you eat. So wasn't pleasant at all to be eating and then being grossed out by cigarettes. There is so much space, I cannot understand why it couldn't have further away!

I can not rate this place any higher than exceptional we were greeted with ample parking close enough to the main reception which is amazing when you have 2 young children by yourself. All staff we met were friendly and helpful. Food was incredible, plenty of choice for dinner and breakfast. Play facilities for the children with no one pointing shame at them for having fun and wow did we get a bargain. £123 for one night stay free parking 3 course meal for 3 people and breakfast for 3 people! There was a function on at the hotel the night they we stayed and we did not hear a peep. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you.

That we only paid for one night! There are no lifts so if you have small small children or need extra help ask for a ground floor room. Doors are quite narrow also.

The staff made this trip. They were all so friendly and helpful. Twice I asked for multiple water bottles to be filled with ice and water and this was done with a smile, we arrived to breakfast close to the finishing time but I was told ‘of there’s anything you need just let us know’, there was a potential problem with the carpark (my error) and reception explained what to do if a problem arose, the staff at the gym were very helpful for the swimming pool by lending my son a pair of goggles as I’d forgotten them.

Tired in places but almost expected in this era. Swimming pool edges could have cleaner and the changing room. The showers looked old but were brilliant!

We were a family of 15 consisting of 4 generations, the hotel catered for us all. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and how they went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. Thank you to Aga especially for organising a function room for us to have a family dinner without even asking for it and also organising a separate area for us at breakfast. Thank you to Lalaine ( I hope I spelt that right) for looking after us Friday night during our meal, making sure we had everything we needed. Our evening meal and the breakfast the following morning couldn’t be faulted, our whole party, 3 of which were from Canada all agreed the staff at the holiday Inn Swindon really went over and above. Well done to you all and Thank you. If you are looking for somewhere in or around Swindon to stay then you can’t go wrong. Comfy beds, good food, warm pool ( the little ones loved that it wasn’t cold), brilliant room rate.

Absolutely nothing, we had a brilliant time.

It was easy to get to coming off the M4. Parking was easy and close. The entrance hall/bar area/dining area were light, bright and airy. It was described as dog friendly. It really was! I was bringing my dog to see a nearby specialist vet. The staff all learnt her name and were very friendly, kind and caring. There is a decent sized area of grass and a wooded area just outside which is especially handy when you have a dog. All the food was lovely and well cooked. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym are open to residents.

The bed was a bit small for myself and my 6’3’ husband. There is obviously constant decoration going on but some of the paintwork was a bit tired. The pool was very handy but quite small, more for bathing than swimming. (I am a swimmer though and it’s more than fine for most people)

The staff on reception were very welcoming, the young lady who checked me in was so polite and helpful. The main area of the hotel is very nice, with a lovely bar and sitting area which goes round to the restaurant area. This was clean, tidy and had a little area with some books and toys for little ones. The outside windows of the hotel do look dated, but don’t let this put you off, our room was clean and tidy and as we walked into the main hotel it was also modern and clean. All staff were welcoming and polite, and to us this is the main thing about a hotel. Breakfast was lovely with a good selection of cooked, pastries, cereal and fruit. The staff at breakfast were also very welcoming and polite.

The original room we were allocated smelly as said by the housekeeping staff. They phoned down to reception and we were given another room no questions asked. I have allergies ansd I had GF bread, only let down was no lactose free milk which people assume that oat milk is ok, its not it still has lactose in, luckily I took my own milk and butter with me as I find UK has not got a clue with allergies unlike Spanish resorts and hotels.

Nothing really , breakfast could have been hotter , we ate at 7.30am when it opened. Windows need relacing maybe , but over all a good place to stay.

Room was clean and cool on arrival. Well stocked with tea and coffee. Plenty of parking with entry door near room. Great location, with good nearby walks for our dog. Easy access to M4. Comfortable beds.

A/C broke down during stay. Room very warm in morning as east facing. Room was quite small by modern standards. Property was clean, but looking a bit tired ( we have stayed here several times over the years, due to it's great location). No staff on reception upon arrival - this has happenedon our last 3 stays.
