Staff were lovely and very helpful. Beer Garden, bedroom was a good size and spotless .

No air conditioning , Post code didn’t take you directly to the pub, the staff did say there was 2 post codes however no one knew what the other post code was, in saying this, they did try to find out though. Breakfast didn’t start until 9:30, we had a funeral to go to which started 10:30 therefore there was not enough time to eat before we left.

Perfect location for our visit to see family. The room was lovely and quiet, staff were very polite and courteous and breakfast was spot on. I did have to raise an issue with the room to the manager which was taken on board, this didn't affect our stay. We'll definitely stay again.

The room was so warm, there were lot's of fans available as there was no aircon, pillows were too flat but again, there were plenty and is probably personal preference.

Great location just off the main road. Room 2 was at the front so we couldn’t hear any traffic noise. Everything you could have needed in the room including a fan and very comfortable. Breakfast starts at 9.30 which was fine for us as we weren’t in a rush to get off.

We couldn’t get a meal as there was rock and roll bingo on. Outdoor tables under the window made with drinkers was noisy.

Room was comfortable and warm. Yes, it could have been modernised but that all costs money when pubs are already struggling. Their selection of beverage accoutrements and biscuits in the room were excellent.

Nothing really. We had concerns that we might not get to sleep when the live music was on downstairs but the staff are in complete control and moderated the timing and all was good.

Nice little gem in Swindon, start off with the room, the room was lovely and cosy and bath was nice and long and deep, we also tried food on our stay and food was exceptional nice and if we lived nearer we would be popping there more often for food, would we stay again? Yes

I'm just being really picky now as hard to pick fault rather than little light you on ceiling you can turn on, would've rather a bedside lamp.

A lovely pub. Beautifully decorated room and very clean and comfortable. Sustainable products (shower gel and shampoo) in the room which was great. Ideally located. Lots of tea and coffee options in the room free to use.

With it being in a pub and with our stay being over the weekend, it was naturally quite loud outside with groups of people. Also being near a main road, lots of cars and motorbikes did wake us up. But we knew where we were staying so this wasn’t a major issue. Only issue was that there was no option to have breakfast included in our stay so the extra cost of breakfast made this not the greatest value for money when adding it all up.

Second year back at The Tawny Owl and all was very good and as expected. Easy parking and location perfect, as well as pub type stay. Didn't meet the same staff team as last year, but all were friendly and supportive. Check out, as paid in advance was simple and we just left our room key and departed. Maybe we will be back in 2024.

Only minor points, but note it can be challenging even if staying to get food or a space to eat inside when it's quiz night. The family room we had this time was smaller than last time, so we would look to revert back to the biggest room.

We loved everything about our stay. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel at home by the friendly staff . Very cheerful and helpful. Room was great, very clean. Some reviews in the past said it was noisy at times due to rooms above the Pub. We never had that problem. Food was great. Plenty of parking and very central to motorways and local tourist spots. Will definitely be back in June. Linda.

Haven’t got anything to say bad about the place.

Very well set out building with all the facilities that are required, well run bar and food was very good and reasonably priced, I would stay again!

Pillows are very tired and so was the free standing fan, but, a boon as it was unusually warm!

I didn't expect the towels to be changed daily. The room was very clean & "spider" free :) Food was very good in the restaurant both nights :)

A spare loo roll would've been nice without asking for one
