The surroundings and location was amazing, ambient, and tranquil. The room was nice and clean. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and polite, which for me was very important, so hats off to them! I'll be definitely coming here again

The food could have been a little better in terms where I ordered a lamb shank with gravy which was a little runny, and pasta was slightly bland and sweet but above all everything else was perfect! The waiter at the restaurant was so kind and sincere, where he did a special birthday surprise on the desert that I ordered and didn't charge me for it, such warm loving staff!

paid £60ish for a room in feb Friday night which isn’t bad, breakfast was a bit pricey at £15 each, would rather pay extra for the room and have breakfast included. Staff were very nice and welcoming but felt like they are a struggling business trying to survive.

Small things could be done to take this up a notch, fittings loose in bathroom etc. Shower wasn’t the best for temperature. One step above cold shower 😬 This aside a nice place to stay with nice views but don’t pay more than £70 a night, you’ll feel disappointed.

Beautiful building with great atmosphere. Staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Everywhere was very clean, especially the bedroom and bathroom. The superior bedroom was tastefully decorated and the bed comfortable. We had breakfast which was buffet style for 2 of them plated for the other. The food was well cooked and there was a good range.

Our Superior room only had 4 coat hangers in a small alcove which could take only a few clothes, there were no drawers capable of storing clothes, and the very small bedside tables had only a small drawer. The windows in the room (211) were at a fairly high level and whilst there was a lovely view, my partner, who is 4' 10" could not admire it. We had an evening meal on the first evening but we're disappointed with the food being only warm and the vegatables being under-cooked.

We booked this as our wedding venue and it was perfect for it. Nice rooms, staff and location is really nice for photos and walks. All you can eat breakfast had plenty of options.

I think the receptionist could be less gruff but she may have just been having a bad day, although several people commented to me that they thought she was a bit funny (not amusing funny) Not the hotel's fault but when people order buffets to let them know they get a lot and we ended up with waste which was a shame. We couldn't open the terrace doors on the honeymoon suite. But not a major problem as it was December.

Everything was excellent mostly. It was clean, very comfortable. Room was maybe a little small however for a solo traveler that did not matter too much for me. It was quiet and peaceful. Internet was good and plenty of parking. The location had easy access to everything with a car. Overall a very good choice.

Just a very minor observation. The breakfast was plentiful and had plenty of variety. The cooked breakfast is prepared earlier and put on hot plates which then overcook everything. Especially the eggs. As I said just a minor observation that it’s in in keeping with the excellent standards of the the rest of the hotel.

The house, the grounds were stunning to look at, beautifully kept, and nice architecture. It had a very oriental theme, with some of the signs having jaoanese/Chinese translations underneath. I liked that it gave it a different vibe. Room was fairly small but not tiny, ( we were originally in the smallest double but got upgraded for a small fee to a regular double) and very sparse furniture and decor. It had everything needed though including an ironing board, and was clean. Beautiful view of the house and gardens. The dining room was a little cold feeling ( not actually cold) again sparse decor, I wondered if it was the oriental influence again. We didn't have dinner there. Parkimg was plentiful and we were allowed to park our motorbike very near the front door which was very nice of them. Breakfast food was very very nice, not a huge selection, some continental and traditional English fryup food too. Sampled most of it and it was good quality food. I would def stay here again

Some of the benches outside were a little old and worse for wear.. Wobbly! One bar didn't open until 10pm which was a little strange as it was the room that you could sit and relax in. The bar in the restaurant was open all the time though so you just had to grab a drink from there and walk round with it. Overall not many negatives

The number one thing at this hotel was they have fantastic staff & nothing was too much trouble even with a 2 & a half yr old running round causing havoc . The food was very good although a little bit pricey. Would we go back of course we would especially with the setting & so many attractions close by. Our particular favorite was Roves Farm even better than Cotswold Wildlife park but both were so close in distance.

Our room was a tad small but our daughters with her daughter was perfect. If that is all you can moan about that's not bad is it ?

The location was fab and the bed was really comfy in a lovely large room. We had dinner on two nights which was delicious and reasonably priced.

There is no toilet brush in the bathroom! There should be. We also only had one bath towel although that was quickly rectified. There was a lot of dust on top of a low height wardrobe. I put a black bag up there and when I took it down, the bottom was covered in thick dust. Also, there had been a wedding on the Saturday and a male "kicked off" in the early hours. It woke us up. He was shouting, swearing and banging on doors. Very scary to witness. Also an alarm went off (unrelated to the above and prior to it). That also woke us up.

Set in beautiful grounds, and only a short drive from the MCArthur glen shopping 🛍 it let. This is the 2nd time we stayed and in the Swan room, which is lovely. It has a huge bath in the bay window looking over the grounds… you can walk down to the lake and see the swans and listen to the woodpeckers, full of nature.. will definitely be booking again. 😀

I would say the only negative about our stay is the size of the mugs in the room which are like buckets! I personally would prefer a smaller mug so I don’t have to use 6 flimsy milk sachets… next time I’ll take my own.. everything else was perfect 👍🏼
