Perfect location. Warm welcome on arrival with a complimentary drink at the bar. Recommend Signature rooms. Excellent. Rooms a little warm for me but you can control your own radiator and open window. Tastefully furnished and comfortable bed. Whole hotel very clean light and airy. Breakfast was superb. All cooked to perfection and great choices. Extremely good value. Service smooth and efficient plus check in and out done on line so ultra efficient. Highly recommend. Great location too with lovely garden and patio area to enjoy a drink outdoors

This characterful and lovely historic inn/boutique hotel sits at the top of Burford village. We stayed for one night and were given a free upgrade to their Burford room in the first floor. Our room was spacious, elegant and light. It was beautifully and creatively decorated and furnished, and had one of the most comfortable beds we'd ever slept in. The roomy bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower was spotless and had plenty of white fluffy towels. We had a kettle, cafetiere, fresh coffee, a range of delicious teas, biscuits, fresh milk (on request) and bottled water. It was quiet both inside and outside the hotel and we slept well. On the ground floor, the restaurant and both the inside and outside bars were busy but not crowded, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant. Our inclusive served breakfast was also very good and the usual staples were supplemented by a menu of imaginative egg dishes. Check in and out was quick and easy. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and our rate was great value for the quality of accommodation, food and hospitality we received. We had a lovely stay which exceeded our expectations and would love to return.
Somewhere in the bathroom to put toiletries would be useful.

The staff were very amenable and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was in a perfect location for exploring The Cotswolds. The breakfasts were excellent and we had one evening meal in the hotel which was very good.
The only criticism was the traffic noise in our bedroom. Our room was on the second floor on the front of the hotel which faced a very busy roundabout on the A40. We would normally keep a window open at night for fresh air but we had to keep the windows closed to ensure that we slept. We were there in March and the weather was quite cold but we could not imagine staying in the summer and not being able to open a window.

Complementary welcome drinks at the bar and treats for the dogs in the room set the tone for our 1 night stay. Scotch egg was crispy on the outside, arrived warm with a gooey yolk and was super tasty. Burford is a short stroll down the road from the hotel. There is a park right behind for dog walk. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was hot and had good water pressure. Thank you for making our stopover such a luxury experience.
Our room was a little small. It was conveniently located on the ground floor for taking the dogs out. But it was unfortunately next to the back of the kitchen and behind the bins so it was noisy well into the evening and early morning.

Great location near town centre Free parking is available with plenty of spaces. Very friendly staff, always on hand to help. The room was very clean and spacious, with a large, comfortable bed We had tea / coffee/ biscuits & fresh milk available to use.. The bathroom had a power shower, which was ideal. Breakfast was fabulous, with a good choice of hot and cold choices available . The food and drink menu in the hotel had plenty of choice as well and was very tasty indeed, especially the sunday roast . I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Lovely stay for 2 nights in the Windrush suite. Staff were all brilliant, friendly and attentive, really comfortable bed, I’m 7 months pregnant and found the room spacious, good amenities and quiet. I slept very well and can be a real bed / pillow snob and these were lovely and extremely comfortable. The large double wardrobe was spacious and allowed us to tidily pack away all of our clothes and shut the doors on our suitcases keeping the room tidy. The included breakfast was very good, with fresh orange juice, tea and coffee, and whilst we didn’t get a chance to try the evening menu it looked delicious and we will definitely dine there while we return.
There was no mini fridge in the suite, when booking a long weekend it’s nice to be able to store some drinks or fruit. Also there was no side board or anywhere in the bathroom to store toothbrush and toothpaste, even a cup in the bathroom to stand them in would have been nice. Face flannels also would be a nice touch. And finally the room lighting was very warm, whilst super cosy at night, it made dressing / getting ready difficult as all orange light, some white light would also have been good.

We stayed for a 2 night midweek break, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we stayed in one of the courtyard room which was very nice and with a warm ambiance and nice touch that the radio was on when we got yo the room after having a complimentary drink on arrival. Overall the stay was very enjoyable and would visit again.
As stated in What we did like it was overall was very good. Our only disappointment was that on our first evening, the food in the restaurant was not hot. One dish was warm, with another being cold. This was on the Wednesday where there is 25% off food with the loyalty card, which i felt over stretched the kitchen. But the staff were very friendly and we weren't charged for one of the dishes

Lovely place with nice style room, good bed and shower was great. The pub/restaurant was nice and cosy. With good food and great service. Chris the manager was very welcoming and has a fantastic team working. All with a smile and very helpful.
Nothing, all was very good. The only one thing I would advise; my wife has a gluten allergy. The menu doesn’t state much and neither is really advertised. But they have fantastic options if you have a gluten allergy. The fish and chips is gluten free anyway, this is of fantastic quality! Definitely recommendable!
