The breakfast was great, and one could order off the menu for a choice. I did eat in the pub that is attached to the building, and it was great food, cozy and warm! I liked that it was so close to the Cotswold trails that lead to the Tea House, some 2 miles away. It was also only a 5 minute walk to the railway station! The only draw back would be that the rooms that are in the court yard, had trucks loading and unloading for the restaurant quite frequently. But in saying that, I definitely would stay there again. It was a tad pricy for the 2 nights I thought.
Price and trucks unloading in close to the rooms.

We were staying for a friends birthday surprise weekend. The staff were really helpful on check in, I was able to get into our friends room to be able to put up birthday banners and balloons. I brought a cake which the staff looked after in the kitchen, to be brought out after our evening meal, which all went really well. The staff looked after us in the bar, they took our drinks orders and brought them over to us. The food in the restaurant was really lovely, we were really looked after. The waitress that served us dinner, also looked after us at breakfast the next morning.
After dinner we left and went to another bar for an hour, but then decided to go back to the hotel and have a drink there. However, the bar was 90% closed for the night, we were able to have 1 drink in there but then had to take the drinks back to our room to finish up as they were totally locking up the bar.

My stay was one night over the weekend. I've rated the Redesdale Arms before and again, was lovely with pleasant welcoming staff. It's in an excellent location, right in the heart of Moreton in Marsh, and a good location for using as a base to visit other places around. I visited Cirencester on Saturday, which is a lovely market town, and has a market at the weekend or during the week. Well worth visiting. Breakfast again was excellent, and I wish I'd taken a photograph of my scrambled eggs. They were a beautiful orangey yellow and cooked to perfection. There are plenty of eateries in the town to choose from, but you wouldn't be disappointed if you stayed at the Redesdale to eat. I met family on Sunday for the Redesdale roast dinner, which definitely shouldn't be missed. Sadly, I had to opt out this time and have their homemade soup due to enjoying my full English breakfast (which again was delicious) I scored 9 overall, basically as again the room I had was the same as last time. It's a little on the dark side, having to have the lights on during the daytime. I did mention this to the guy on reception as I left. But apart from that, it was another comfortable stay and will definitely return.

The location is great, it is in the centre of town and within a short walking distance of the train station. The rooms are very spacious and the restaurant (breakfast and some dinners) was decent. It is worth mentioning the pre-stay service too. I received emails advising about the availability of public transport especially over weekends and about an option to prebook for dinner at the hotel due to it being a small town during the busy season. This extra touch was appreciated.
The mattresses in our room were quite saggy which unfortunately wasn’t very comfortable. The staff are both professional and polite but we didn’t find them to be very friendly (this is of course very subjective).

The hotel is highly recommended. I stayed in the annex of the hotel. The rooms are new and very spacious. The rooms have a hairdryer, toilets, free coffee and tea. the bed was very wide and very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was very good, there was a different selection of things. The hotel staff are all very attentive. I would definitely stay again!!
The bathroom was cold even though the heat was on , but it wasn’t enough for the whole bathroom , also I noticed the bathroom had a hole to the outside where the current of cold air enters.

We were delighted to stay in this very historic inn! We arrived before check-in time and enjoyed a beer in the very old courtyard surrounded by flowers and creepers. Breakfast was pleasant and ample. Our room was average size and had a nice bathroom. We were able to park in the hotel's parking area which is very tight, but secure. The hotel is in a great location for walking to restaurants and to Salisbury Cathedral.
Check-in was slow because a trainee was doing the job and his supervisor was not being helpful. Be aware that this is a very old hotel with no lift so you need to be able to climb narrow stairways. Additionally, there is no A/C and only one window opened about 4 inches. We requested a fan but even so, the July weather was very warm and we were a bit uncomfortable.

The room was small but well-appointed. Sherry, bottled water and a kettle were available, as well as appropriate glassware. TV was small but functional. Bathroom was immaculate, toiletries and towels were well stocked, and staff was always available during housekeeping hours to accommodate any extra needs. Wardrobe had plenty of hangers, and entryway was wide enough to store luggage. Also, an extra ladies / men's WC was available in the corridor outside if emergency struck. Accessibility might be an issue for some (stairs / no elevator, step up into room, standard shower opening), but the room was lovely and very well connected to everything on the high street. Although the room we had faced the aforementioned street, it was extremely quiet at night. Also, there was air conditioning in the room! The hotel itself is extremely close to the train station (5-10 min with heavy luggage), and it's a very easy and flat walk to Redesdale. Also, there is a bus service available to other Cotswolds towns and the Batsford Arboretum -- Redesdale provides a route schedule and maps to guests if needed. The main bus stop is just across the street (Corn Exchange), next to a lovely coffee spot. By the way, the bus service accepts contactless card payments! (July 2024)
Hard to think of an immediate dislike or issue with our stay off the top of my head. Although there is no onsite laundry service for guests, there is a launderette just around the corner / off the high street, if needed.

Absolutely faultless from the moment we were greeted at reception. Super friendly, helpful staff, a wonderful spacious room that had been recently modernised, excellent in-room facilities including proper coffee and a cafetiere as well as complementary Cotswold's sherry! Top notch breakfast too, with both continental buffet and a wide range of hot food choices. It's a wonderful place to stay in a superb, central town location. Lots of shops, bars and restaurants nearby in a very pretty location. Easy travelling distance to Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Stow-in-the-Wold too.
No complaints!

We stayed in upper levels - rooms 31 and 32 which are separate rooms sharing the same tiny common area on the second level of the building that was in the yard/carpark. They were both attic rooms, really cosy and it was peaceful and quiet. No noise from the front or ground level and relatively cooling period to do without AC. Otherwise they had a fan if you feel stuffy. - took a video but can’t upload it here unfortunately 😅😅 booking.com only allowed photos. Anw the room is also clean and staff are pretty helpful and there’s a coffee machine and plenty of drink options in the room! Oh also like that it is super near the commute and the area is less tourist populated as bourdon on water lol. Which is great! Breakfast is alright I guess, you get the British breakfast or can choose others like kippers/milk cod fish thing other than that there’s a spread. It’s ok I guess, homely meal, nothing spectacular tbh. The bar and restaurant is a nice place to chill and read a book at. I really like the environment overall, the location and the rooms. I can see myself coming back.
The price 😂😂 it’s quite expensive for a bed and breakfast and I don’t think our price was the highest. The coffee machine’s coffee is nicer than the coffee at breakfast which is weird 😅

Beautiful building beautiful room refurbished, most of the staff super friendly, nice breakfast. Great that it had complimentary tea, choices of coffee, biscuits and water in the room as well as local dessert wine! Great location. Nice seating areas. We were very positively impressed :)
Shower walls needed some fixing. In the morning we were woke up by noise of doors ,which I think was because we were next to the cleaning cupboard. Staff were quite busy the day we arrived with lots going on which resulted sometimes waiting for things we needed, luggage etc, but they were so lovely most of them, so didn't really mind ! In general we still loved it :)
