The staff were very welcoming, the location is excellent right in the heart of the village, it’s clean & comfortable, our room was on the ground floor, which was perfect for us, I would definitely stay in that room again. I am a Coeliac & for the most part my diet was catered for, which was great, Gluten free cereal would have been excellent, as I wasn’t able to have all options for breakfast, so for the cost of the breakfast I couldn’t have all choices, I had informed the hotel before I arrived, however this was only a small part, I did have a cooked breakfast every morning & gluten free toast.

We recently stayed at this historic, charming, old inn in the Cotswolds, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The hotel is cozy, with a traditional English atmosphere and a lovely courtyard and garden that added to its relaxing vibe. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We were three couples traveling together and appreciated how conveniently located the inn was—just a short walk from the train station and within easy reach of a grocery store, local wine shop, and the heart of town. Both breakfast and dinner at the hotel were excellent, offering hearty, well-prepared meals in a comfortable setting.
Slight concern is that the rooms facing the main road could be a bit noisy during the day due to the busy intersection. Also, the carpet in our room felt a bit dated. However, these were minor issues in an otherwise delightful stay. We would gladly return and recommend this inn to anyone looking to experience a classic Cotswolds getaway.

Amazing hospitality!! Excellent sit-down breakfast and delicious dinner selections. Water bottles per person in the room, as well as cookies, a Nespresso maker, a tea kettle, and a wonderful selection of coffees and teas! I’ve never seen such an abundance of welcoming snacks and drinks! The staff were all very helpful, friendly, and professional. The room and bed are very cozy and decorated in the local English cottage style, yet the bathroom was modern! We stayed in the ground floor in room 117 (an ADA compliant room), and our friend stayed upstairs in 112. We were all very happy with our accommodations. The hotel location was an 8 minute walk to the train station with luggage! I think Moreton in Marsh is fairly centrally located in the Cotswolds. We did a GoCotswold tour for 7 hours that met in the train station car park and that was easy to get to. We highly recommend the White Hart Royal Inn and would certainly stay there again!!

So special to be able to stay in a hotel with such history. Loved all the timely elements including the sloping steps to the second floor which were best navigated using the hand rails, the rock entry that was the road to the mews ( I believe), the pub with it's fireplace and period decor and the luxurious guest lounge looking out at the outdoor dining area. The staff, from the manager, front desk, dining and pub were just exceptionally cordial and informative. Lovely options for the included breakfast and good lunch/dinner menus that they kindly would customize to suit my appetite.
It was beastly hot during our stay and with rooms overlooking the High St., difficult to leave curtains and windows open at night. This of course is not the fault of the property but did affect our comfort level. They did provide us with two fans that we were very grateful for.

the stuff was very kind and eager to help. the location was very nice and we loved the traditional style of the room. In general, we had a very good experience and the "bad" things I am going to mention are very minor. The quality of the food was very good both at breakfast and for dinner, in fact we ended up eating dinner there every day.
Perhaps it was slightly more difficult to move around with a baby. we had to go up and down two ramps of very old stairs. The door of the toilet did not close properly, so had to run around my son to avoid him putting his hands in the WC. The room did not have a fridge (though the stuff was very helpful to keep some medicine for my son in the fridge). One last thing I would have loved was a cappuccino for breakfast or at least espresso coffee, but that is the cherry on the top.

Loved the stay and the room and bathroom were clean. Bed linen clean and nice towels with lovely shower gel. Nice touch was the radio on in the corner to greet me. Superb breakfast that set me up for the day with a very polite waiter.
The room seemed to be very busy with too much crammed into a smallish room. I accept its an old hotel but the table for the PC you couldnt pull the chair out so had to sit on the edge of the bed, Wardrobe used the space that maybe a side cabinet could have used so I had to put my water at the end of the bed. I think remove the wardrobe and table and make some room round the bed. Shower was very small and the type you touch the sides when washing and I dont like that.

Clean room with a comfortable bed. Bottled water in room alongside other refreshments was appreciated. Excellent shower and water pressure. Large, fluffy towels. Loved the heated towel rail. Complimentary toiletries. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice.
The blinds in room 108 did not keep the light out sufficiently at night for me (but I am particularly light-sensitive).The lady at reception said that she would look into this which was appreciated. The room is a good size for one person but a little cramped for two. It's better to book a larger room, which we'll do next time.

This hotel is amazing!! We really loved our stay. It’s only a 7-ish minute walk to the train, breakfast is included and was delicious, the restaurant and pub attached were great and there are shops and bus stop right outside the door! The staff was lovely and there were lots of places to sit and chat and have a cocktail. Our room was very small, so if you’re a heavy packer be sure to ask when booking. And of course there is no air conditioning, which is to be expected. We popped the window open and it cooled down quickly.

The staff were all so very professional. The history of the place interesting. The breakfasts were nicely presented. Exceptionally clean with great showers.
The small double bathroom fab but otherwise room 108 a bit cramped as I misjudged when booking and the room hot and the bed size for me and 9 year old to share not ideal.Still a nice room as a single. My error not hotels! However housekeeping lady saidI should just explain and thanks to Bill (who along with his wife very understanding around my travel situation too) arranged an upgrade room on last night which was fantastic to a Twin Suite. Bill you were great! The American Suite room 201, I recommend for a winter stay!!!

The food and staff at front desk and restaurant are nice and let me leave my bags after checkout. The room was big, bed was a magical wonderland for dreamless sleep, and for such an old historical hotel (King Charles the First unpaid bill for this 17th century hotel sits in the foyer!) has great shower. I LOVED the cushy reading chair by the window and wished had more time to read in it. The furniture and carpets, have old and really interesting vibes reminding me of my mother-in-law’s in a good way. The hallways have funky slanting walls and ground floor sitting rooms and area with rough paving stone FEELS like you’ve stepped hundreds years back in time . I got a super quiet room with window opening to quiet lovely courtyard. The price is fair for the experience and comfort
Stairs were a bit steep and I had a heavy bag to lug but that’s part of the hotel’s historical charm
