Very very peaceful place set in the vast grounds of a former RAF station. It is still being used as a college running courses in fire fighting. They have a lot of accommodation so have plenty of space for overnight guests. We stayed here twice on a week’s cycling holiday. The rooms are big, clean, comfortable and all with en-suite shower rooms. It is about a half hour stroll in to the centre of Morton, or 5 minutes if you want to take your car. Another advantage of the Fire College is the huge amount of parking available. We discovered on our return visit that it is possible to have breakfast there. At £13 per person you can have toast, croissants, a variety of cereals, fruit juices, tea coffee, full English (eggs bacon, sausage, hash browns, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms). All for £13. Finally, the room price is about half what you will pay anywhere else in Moreton.

Reasonable price for location- we were in the area for a wedding. Very clean, good facilities in room. Access to small kitchen and laundry room in building. Disconcerting initially on arrival as you are entering a gated college facility- however concerns eased as we were greeted by polite friendly security staff, handed keys and directed to our room. About a 30 min walk to Moreton in Marsh. A little bit out the way. Free parking directly outside the building. Would 100% stay again if in the area, just what we needed.

Excellent location. Great on site facilities. Brilliant and very accommodating staff, which is the sites best feature. Parking was very easy. The site is very clean and presentable.
The WiFi signal was very poor at times, meaning I found it difficult to do work from my laptop in my room. There was lots of door slamming from others staying at the venue, so next time I stay I would ask for an end of corridor room.

I visit my son and family regularly and this was the first time I have stayed at the fire college. I booked through Booking.com and there is also free cancellation should you need to use it I generally stay at one of the hotels in the town centre, but they are now becoming so expensive for just an overnight stay. I have to say I was very pleased with the room and overall cleanliness. It does have a hotel feel to it. The sheets and towels were sparkling white, and the whole room and bathroom was very clean. The location is excellent and obviously there is a designated parking space. As a solo female traveller it was nice to have the added on site security. Beacuse of it being the fire college there is a manned security barrier to go through but you are issued a pass for this to allow you to come and go. I found the area around the block I stayed in peaceful and quiet, although I didn't know how busy the rooms were whilst I was there. The wi-fi is free , and there is also a safe should you need it. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and hand wash and shower gel was provied. But be avised if you need a hairdryer I think you have to ask for one or take your own. It does say on the website that there is a fitness centre etc, and vending machines. I'm not sure of allocations and of paments etc. To be honest I didn't ask and also not informed on arrival. What I also liked was that it does ask for you to vacate your room by 9am but you can ask for a longer checkout time which I did. You can call or email them. Overall, this was just perect for me as I felt safe and central to Moreton in Marsh, which you could walk to as just about a mile away, and it's also not too far from my family I would definately recommend to friends and family (which I just have) and would definately stay here again.
I didn't ask about the other amenities or breakfast and vending machines which was on the website

I had a very pleasant and peaceful stay at the Fire Service College. The location is calm, quiet, and set slightly on the outskirts, which made it perfect for relaxation. The atmosphere felt safe and comfortable, and everything was well-kept. I truly enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings and found it to be a great place to unwind.
A peaceful and quiet place on the outskirts, perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing stay. Just note that public transport is limited, so plan ahead—but overall, highly worth it.

All the additional extras like shampoo, wash, towels, kitchen kettle. Located on each floor is a small communal kitchen with microwaves and a seperate laundry room freely with washing machine, 2 dryers and iron and board. There is also a communal seating area on each of our floors. Location was a mile and half from Aldi and town centre. On sire is a swimming pool with we didn't get chance to use but would highly recommend as a base to explore. There is a small shop with basics and bar, also breakfast is available but limited times so didn't get to make use of these. The campus is very quiet and peaceful, gates access onto and off of site which adds additional safety element. We will be returning to explored with the family. All staff are welcoming and helpful, the security and bar staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond. Check in was very simple and check out was just as easy
The main entrance doors could benefit from disabeled push buttons as struggled personally due to herniated discs, the rooms could do with occupied/not today signs as had someone try and get in to the room. 2 keys would be handy as we ending locking ourselves out at 1am which was our own fault and can't not thank security enough for there quick response, we didn't realise that there was a phone on each level so could have saved ourselves a walk but again this is our own fault. The manuals in the rooms aren't reflective on shop openings etc and could benefit from a quick update. Air con would be the only thing but these are more specific issues we had due to health issues.

The accommodation was very clean, beds were really good and the site was quiet. It was very easy to pick up the keys and represented good value for money for the area.
It is advertised as having a gym, swimming pool etc etc. However, the rooms are available to the general public at the weekend when the opening hours are 8am to about midday. Moreover, it is when repairs and cleaning are performed so in reality these facilities are not really available. Also bear in mind the site has the feel of a deserted University campus during recess which means it is quiet but also a little isolated.

This was the second time I have stayed here. The room was large, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Set in extensive grounds there was no noise at all. The bathroom was spacious with a wet area instead of a cramped shower cubicle. I was later arriving than expected owing to heavy traffic but the security gate in manned 24/7 so there was no problem checking in. This is very reasonably priced, particularly compared with all alternatives in this highly popular tourist area.

Location
The property is adequate a few minor issues (light over bathroom mirror not working and out of reach for short people, shower screen not effective causing flooding, bedside light not effective) needs some maintenance. Worst of all was the attitude of the receptionist, curt and minimalist. We were not warned that the restaurant was not available and she didn’t volunteer the info until asked . Some training required.

Extremely helpful staff. Comfortable, clean, quiet, lovely grounds, great price. Bookings people and manager were excellent. Thank goodness because Booking.com were awful!
Could have done with nets or blinds on ground floor windows because people walked past right outside and looked in! Breakfast - only option was £13 full breakfast when all we wanted was coffee and pastry. We went into Moreton for breakfast.
