Lovely location next to a stream. Friendly staff. The room and bathroom were spotless with lovely fluffy towels. The bed was very comfortable. Delicious breakfast too.
The only markdown would be having to draw the blinds in the afternoon as there were customers in the patio area seating facing our room. We felt we had no privacy with the blinds up, especially in the bathroom with its clear glass. Also we had to close the bedroom window at one point because somebody was smoking under it outside and the smell was getting in the room.

The staff at the The Fox were delightful, friendly and ready to go that extra mile, from the welcome on arrival to leaving. My room was spacious, warm and welcoming, the bathroom was great. Huge room, huge bath and a rainfall shower over the bath. Hot water was plentiful. The bar was warm and friendly. Breakfast was very good, cooked to order and delicious. I also had lunch there on Sunday with my family, the food was good and the chef very accommodating, adapting a couple of things for my son who is dairy and soya intolerant. There is easy access to Burford and Bourton on the Water and fabulous countryside walks direct from the property.
I found the bed very uncomfortable, the mattress was very soft and felt lumpy in places. Dare I suggest a good mattress topper would go a long way!

Lovely riverside location with choices of dining locations inside and out. Our room was a good size with a king size bed. Food was of a high quality overall, especially the evening meal. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Locally brewed ales also a plus.
The en-suite was quite small - understandable in a historic building but those of us who are of larger proportions will find the shower compartment a bit of a squeeze! The food and drink was a little pricey after the addition of a 12.5% service charge.

The location for us was perfect, a 10 minute drive to The Farmers Dog. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The bedroom had everything we needed including a fan which I ❤️ the view from our window was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable and it was lovely and dark and quiet. The breakfast was lovely and hot. The scenery is stunning with lots of parking. My boyfriend liked how we could get to our room via a few different ways not just one. I would highly recommend The Fox Inn and I would definitely stay here again. Well done x
Maybe have the bottles of water in the fridge as they were on the shelf and warm.

A beautiful, peaceful location. Great location to take drives to other locations in the Cotswolds. Friendly service, great parking. Enjoyed eating at the restaurant. Our room was large and tastefully decorated. Appreciated the tea and coffee making facility in the room. A small fridge in the room would be welcomed. Beds are very comfortable. Our room faced the road but external noise was not an issue as it is not a high traffic area. Loved the River next to the hotel for some great photos. If you do not wish to eat in the hotel you will need to jump in the car to take yourself to another destination.
Nothing really. My only point of feedback would be that breakfast service was very, very slow.

The room was clean and very pretty, with a beautiful stone wall and old wood beams. The pub food was excellent. We were greeted very kindly by a wonderful employee called Jenny, who even let us know where the emergency exits were. The breakfast was good with several options available.
It was a little bit noisy during the night, as the windows were pointed towards a road. The breakfast was good but it wasn't clear where it was served (we waited in the pub but turns out it was in a lower floor) and the breakfast menu included prices, however residents could choose one item for free, but we were not informed of this fact. During check out we again waited in the empty pub but another guest informed us that the lady serving breakfast downstairs was the one we should contact. So the practical information wasn't very well delivered to the guests. It should also be noted that while it's close to Burford by car, there's nothing to do around the hotel itself.

The rooms are all lovely and have everything you need, the only issue I had really was that we had the room at the top with the balcony and there was an ashtray in the corner that had not been emptied from the previous occupants The breakfasts were lovely and we all really enjoyed them, the lady who served us both mornings, I’m so sorry but I can’t remember her name, she was slim and blond, was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her as well as being happy and chatty as were the other staff members that we met The food was freshly cooked and bought out all together which was lovely as there were 12 of us and we appreciated that it was a big order, it was all hot and very good, we also had dinner one night which again was lovely and good quality The location is great and especially good if you are attending a wedding at the Stone Barn as we were as it’s only 5 mins up the road
At night it was so hot and this seemed to be the case in all the rooms, obviously that is better than it being too cold but maybe turn it down slightly

The setting, the cosy pub atmosphere with real fires, and tasteful rooms made for a lovely stay. The food was really good and the staff were lovely.
Booked a number of rooms for a family gathering, many months before. At breakfast, the delivery of sausage and bacon hadn't arrived when we were ready to eat, so breakfast was delayed by about an hour. It's not a great issue, but as our day was time limited, it impacted on that. In our room, the bath with shower was on a plinth, so extremely difficult to get in and out of, though we obviously found a way!

Both myself and my husband loved everything about this lovely Inn. It's location is superb and set alongside a river it could not be more picturesque. The inn and The rooms are tastfully decorated, the bed is comfortable and staff are all extremely friendly. Terence is so helpful with tips for places to see and go to. The Inn is a perfect base to see the cotswolds. The grounds are well maintained with ample seating for a drink or meal.would highly recommend
To be honest our stay was great and we really enjoyed everything and would stay again.

Beautiful location and property. Room was cute, clean and bath was a great feature. Staff very friendly and lovely breakfast.
Unfortunately the bed was a metal frame that was obviously a bit loose. Anytime either of us moved a fraction it squeaked which lead to a pretty disturbed night. Also the waste pipe for another room ran close to the head of the bed and they like to shower late at night and early in the morning. I know that can’t really be helped. It’s such a shame as room was peaceful, lovely and dark and the bed was quite comfy. Just let down by the squeakingand
