We booked quite last minute for our stay but I had checked out the pub beforehand, the room was very sizable for the price we paid (I think the chap said we had been upgraded which was great!), the bed was very comfortable with lovely sheets and pillows. The bathroom was clean and well appointed. The staff were great, very helpful. We only stayed one night and checked in later in the day but we did enjoy a great dinner, lovely food with a different menu and great service. Thanks for making us so welcome.
There was a perfectly adequate cold breakfast (croissants, cereal, toast, yoghurt, etc) but cooked breakfast was extra. This isn't a huge problem but it maybe should be made obvious on the listing so you can be fully informed before deciding to book or not. However, I might have missed that so apologies if I did!

The friendliness of the staff and the beautiful location of the pub. The evening meal food was delicious.
The price of the room included breakfast . We were ,however, disappointed to hear that this would only be a continental style breakfast and not a full English cooked breakfast which would be an additional £12 each. This was unexpected and we feel it should have been made clear at the outset when booking the room. The bedroom was adequate but very small with no area to sit in. The glass doored shower was in the corner of the bedroom and not in a separate bathroom so there was no privacy when showering.

Very Lovely place and good location, with very peaceful nature all around, with seating outside to enjoy the weather.. It was very clean and tidy and well presented. Very easy checking with no wait, as soon as I arrived, I was shown to my room. The Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Really good shower pressure. It was a very nice and safe area, with parking on the property. Very the food and breakfast. Definitely try the fresh croissants!
N/a (Not something bad in regards to the Inn, but rather a heads up in regards to the whole area that would impact all the nearby locations) - There are no Ubers nearby; you would have to rely on taxis or your vehicle to get to your destination (or to and from the train station). Ask the inn for their taxi contact in advance to book them if you plan to take the train. (They were the most reliable and on-time taxi service there.)

Ambiance, building, room styling, bedding, comfort. Supply of bathroom products. Lovely bathroom. Tea/coffee and generous biscuits in the room. Interesting Art and photographs decorate the walls.Food was good.
I found the welcome i received was a little lacking. Despite the fact that I walk with a stick, this wasnt noticed and I had to struggle up the stairs with my case on my own. No long mirror in the room. Good service in the restaurant and the barman was kind and friendly which was nice as I was travelling alone which can be difficult.

We had two nights at The Lamb. Very comfortable room, good staff and ambience in the pub area. The beer garden is well laid out. The food was also very good; we had dinner one night and breakfast both mornings. The extra charge for the cooked options is not that much and the portions are generous. They even provide the makings for a Bloody Mary! The Wychwood Wild Garden nearby is worth a look.

Breakfast was what one would expect in an establishment such as The Lamb Inn. Persons with mobility issues need to take a closer look at the property although the staff are very accommodating. Very comfortable room. Plenty of car parking. Well stock bar with plenty of good beers. Good food, good bar snacks. One must remember that this building is four hundred years old and therefore comes with its quirks and all.
Our room could have befitted from a shower mat, slippy surface in the shower try. Also a handrail or some form of hand grip to help negotiate the two steps down into the bathroom.

The accommodation was quant and bed/pillows comfortable. The toiletries were lovely. Nice to have free parking available. We stayed in room 1.
Full English breakfast included in the price instead of continental. The fish (Fish and chip choice) wasn't good at all, it was deep fried, too dark and not a meaty fish. The rolltop bath could have done with a non-slip mat and a separate shower head as the head is fixed and huge and therefore you need a shower cap to keep your hair dry.

The room was small but cosy with an excellent shower/toiletries and a very comfy bed with feather and swim bedding which felt luxurious. When we asked for an earlier breakfast as we had to leave early there was no problem with this which we were grateful for.
The fact that at every meal they put a discretionary 12.5% on the bill. We believe that a tip should be given by choice and it's embarrassing to ask to take it off the bill, especially if you are staying at the Pub. Even a pint delivered to the table from the bar had 12.5% added yet if you ordered at the bar and took it yourself to the table no service charge added which didn't make much sense.

Food drink and ambience. Amazing range of people using this place - visitors, walkers and locals. customers there when we arrived at 4pm, and just got busier and busier! Good basic food , interesting bar food, and amazing restaurant - I really didn't expect turbot on the menu! Wine list excellent - pricy, but not for the selection of wines being offered!Pet friendly in the bar, everyone freindly - customers and staff. Big outside area, and accomodation in a separate block from the pub itself, so quiet. OK continental breakfast, and at a small cost, a range of hot breakfast items, which set us up for the day.
The room was a bit tiny. We had stayed to compete in a national archery comeptition, and we prefer to take ourbows to the room at night rather than leave them in the car, but there was barely room for our overnight bags, let alone sports equipment. This became more of a problem when the first day comepttion was in rain all day, and we had to leave wet/damp gear in the car overnight to use/wear next day, as space to dry it out in our rooom. Larger /taller people might have struggled to sit on the toilet, without having their knees on the opposite wall, and some might be put off by having the glass shower in the room with no cover/ privacy if someone else in th eroom - no problem for us, but.......

Loved being in a well looked after old building. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was included and nice selection. Very clean everywhere. Easy parking and nice garden to sit in with a cuppa. The staff were excellent.
In our room number seven the toilet cubicle was boardering on the freaky. So small that I had to sit at an angle to shut the door and I am just under six foot. The food we had was nice but vastly over priced as was the cost of the room £99 ?? We stay all over the UK really nice hotels and Inns and this was 4 star but priced as 6 star.My wife and I are 82 and had to climb stairs carrying bags !! Also the lighting in the bar is too dark and that made the floor dangerous. Grateity £2.75 ?? Note : The cubicle in room 7 needs widening to the edge of the shower with the beautiful hand basin taken out and replaced with a smaller one inside the toilet. Just a suggestion.
