This was by far our favorite stay in our trip to England. The hotel is beautiful, well decorated, cozy. The photos reflect everything perfectly. We loved our room, shower and bed were great, everything very clean. The room was spacious and was made as requested. The location was a great base for multiple short day trips. The food on the restaurant (breakfast and dinner) were delicious. The bar was cozy and had different sitting areas. Staff was so nice and welcoming. The pantry is a really nice touch. Seriously, I'm so glad I found this hotel, everything was perfect.

Location was good for local shops and amenities. I was surprised at just how large the hotel was; deceptive when viewing from the front. The room (suite) was spacious and comfortable as was the bed, and luxurious bathroom. The hotel had a relaxed comfortable feel about it.

Although it didn't bother me, it was unusual not to have a TV in the room. Parking can be a problem. The food is supposed to be excellent but both my wife and I were unimpressed. I had a chicken dish and she vegetarian option, of which there was only one. Both were far too salty. The dessert, lemon meringue pie was poor, neither the meringue nor the pastry were good. Didn't bother with breakfast at £25 each

Longer stay

I absolutely adored my stay at The Bull Hotel in Burford! The room was wonderfully spacious, offering plenty of room to relax and unwind. Its elegant decor and comfortable furnishings added to the charm. Although there was a bit of noise in the morning and afternoon due to the room's location above the walkway leading to the garden, it did not detract from the overall delightful experience. Would highly recommend for a charming and comfortable stay!

We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite, as it was the only room available. The suite was spacious and beautifully appointed, perfect for our getaway. However, we felt that for a room at that price, a few extra toiletries like cotton wool pads and cleanser, along with a welcome drink, would have been appreciated. Additionally, the hot water took a little while to heat up. Despite these minor inconveniences, our stay was delightful and memorable! If we were honeymooners, we might have felt a bit disappointed, but overall, we had a wonderful time.

The property was absolutely stunning. The moment you walk in, it takes your breath away. The interior and attention to detail is phenomenal. The art collection through out the property is amazing to look at and every-time you walk through, another piece catches your eye. The staff are incredible and nothing is too much of an ask - a special mention to Rebecca who made us feel very welcome. It was a fantastic way to start my 30th celebrations for that I cannot be more thankful.

The only thing - was no tv in the room and we couldn’t get the sonos system to work. But again it doesn’t take away from how amazing this place is.

Everything! The staff were warm and welcoming, each of the different bar areas and lounges were beautifully decorated with really cool artwork.. the room was comfortable and the bathroom absolutely beautiful. We ate at Toro one evening, which is part of the same group and just a couple of doors up the road… the food was stunning, and the restaurant really cosy. We had our Christmas dinner at the main restaurant at The Bull which was beautiful, followed by drinks in front of the fire in the bar…a fabulous way to spend Christmas.

Small hotel offering something very different to other boutique hotels we have stayed in. Very comfortable room. Public areas welcoming and spotlessly clean. All of the staff very friendly and helpful. Sadly we didn’t have an opportunity to eat in any of the restaurants but the breakfast was first class.

Perhaps it would be a good idea if the hotel advised customers to make reservations in the restaurants prior to their arrival as due to their popularity they seem to be full, certainly at weekends. It’s disappointing that residents of the hotel can’t be accommodated and have to find alternative places to eat.

Wow - we LOVED this stay from start to finish and didn’t want to come home. The beds were one of THE most comfiest we’ve stayed in and the facilities and food at the hotel were exceptional. We ventured out to another recommended eatery one evening (The Angel) and wish we’d have eaten in the hotel instead. Everything about the decor and amenities throughout the hotel were exceptional and all areas dog friendly. We will definitely be returning soon and have already recommended to family and friends.

It’s a quirky place that combines comfortable modern furnishings and artwork with olde world charm and rustic appeal - whilst retaining beautiful old oak beams, open fireplaces, crooked roofs and creaky floors. The Market Room/ room 7 was lovely and spacious. Breakfast was excellent.

Menu at Horn restaurant was limited and several dishes had run out by 7pm sitting! The lack of parking was v difficult. Instructions for arrivals to drop off bags, given that streets are tiny and one way - and where to park should be included in booking notifications.

I was expecting a beautifully designed and stylish hotel but wondered if it might be a little pretentious. It wasn’t! It was warm and welcoming, the staff were amazing, the renovations were so cleverly done that it had kept its characters and felt quirky and interesting as well as glamorous. And I wondered if the designers had actually spent a night in the room? Not only did It look gorgeous, bed extremely comfortable and Wildsmith products but they also had plugs near the mirrors and the hairdryer was a Dyson! The bathroom was absolutely lovely with a bath and a shower but also the controls didn’t require you to stand under it to switch it on and there was a hook within reach for your towel! The hotel was wonderful but the small, thoughtful things that ran through it lifted it to a whole new level. Can’t wait to go again! PS We ate in the restaurant, Horn, food was wonderful too
