Had a walm welcome. Slept well, very quiet overnight. Liked the room. Love there were tea and coffee facilities after a long day travelling. Much appreciated. Breakfast next morning was amazing. Hot, freshly cooked and couldn’t do enough for you. Would definitely stay there again

There was nothing to dislike. Some areas like the stairwell to go to the rooms could be updated. A little tired. The bathroom also could do with a little improvement. But overall it liked it. It is all cosmetic but blends in well with an old pub feel.

We loved everything about the Crown. The friendly ambience, the 101 Bar, the Dalek outside! Aldbourne is a very pretty village. The pond outside the Crown is beautiful, with a lovely family of ducks x. The room was very quaint, with sloping floors that made you feel.slightly tipsy, even before having a drink! Our evening meal of ribeye steak with all the trimmings was exceptional. Our English breakfast in the morning was the best we have had in a long time. Really can't praise the.Crown enough! Great start to our holiday! Thank you xx

That we were only there for one night!

Came to Aldbourne as I am a fan of Band of Brothers and was keen to see the local places relevant to the village's history with Easy Company, and spent a day walking around the area taking plenty of photos. My room (Guth) was clean and warm and had all that I needed, the food was wonderful, and the staff were all lovely with nothing too much trouble at all. Really nice touch with the rooms named after members of Easy Company, and having a picture on the wall of your named person so that you can read more about them. If I come back to Aldbourne again I would definitely stay at The Crown! :-)

A great location if your a history buff ,this was headquarters for 101 Airborne,Easy Company aka Band of Brothers. Rooms named after the company soldiers. Great food and beer and a top quality breakfast. Undergoing an update at present so few teething problems but would stay here in a heartbeat again. Comfortable room and very large. We had Major Dick Winters room. Aldbourne was also used in a Dr Who in the 70's . Food in the evening was very good and breakfast exceptional,the local sausage was one of the best I've had in a long time.

I am absolutely delighted to have stayed at The Crown, a historic inn nestled in a quaint village. The food was superb, with a commendable selection of beers, and the staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. The rooms were spacious, well-equipped, and warmly inviting. I truly had the opportunity to unwind in such a traditional pub atmosphere. This establishment is certainly worth a visit not only for its rich history but also for its outstanding food, drink, and accommodation. Check in and check out was simple, the whole experience was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks for the Birthday wishes too.

The location was great, we left for Heathrow the next day and it was a good base away from the bustle of the city. Had dinner and breakfast here and both were excellent. Really elevated pub food and some good vegetarian options which was lovely to see.

The rooms were very dated which you would expect in a place like this, full of history. The plumbing however needs some serious work and we had a dripping tap most of the night. There were signs up to say this was all getting renovated shortly but would have been nice to be told about it by the person who checked us in too.

Located in the centre of a beautiful village. No onsite parking as such but several spaces opposite beside a pond. Ok for cars and vans but not suited to anything larger. A very warm welcome and the staff were all lovely and attentive throughout my stay. Large en-suite room. Very quiet and no noise from outside Comfy bed. Bathroom was spotless and everything worked. WiFi a little patchy but kept up ok.Food was very good and priced fairly.

Not a criticism but breakfast is not served before 8.00 so may not suit everyone

A quintessential English pub in a quintessential English village. Big en-suite room (over the main bar) which looked out over the Union Jack flags onto the village duck pond. Tea/coffee/hot chocaolate and bottled water in the room. Great full-English breakfast in the morning. All for under £65 ... Brilliant!!!

Its a pub, not The Ritz, ok! Carpets have seen better days. Although we had no problems at all, I'm guessing that it could be a tad noisy on a busy evening (the provision of ear plugs in the room is a clue).

Staff, the food, the beautiful decor of our twin room (named “Lipton”). We paid extra to have dinner and that was wonderful too.

My Mum has a knee replacement. She can manage stairs but the step up into the shower was a little too high for her to manage. I’m sure if I’d spoke to staff they would’ve had a solution but my Mum didn’t want to make a fuss. Most people would easily manage getting in the shower but installing a grab rail maybe a good idea for those who are less confident trying

The Crown is an atmospheric 17th century inn, with lots of history connected to it. It is set in the middle of a picturesque village, overlooking the village pond. The food was excellent and the live music and friendly atmosphere in the pub made for an enjoyable evening. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of teas and coffees in the room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was nothing we didn't like.
