breakfast choices brilliant, cooked well a breakfast bar complete with juice cereal, fruit tea coffee etc very welcoming staff and service, our rooms were comfortable exceptionally clean, well stocked extras, iron, kettle tea, coffee biscuits well positioned , mirrors, seating , hanging space. superb comfy beds.. stocked beautifully with toiletries. plenty of fluffy white towels.

just a few things if being picky bathroom needed a little attention, skirting board had seen better days, toilet roll holder missing, also hand rail at bath missing . very clean,

Lovely dining area and breakfast which we included had a wonderful choice from pastries to full English.

Our room was under the trees and I got up next morning with several bites, as had to have windows open due to quite hot/muggy weather. Our room had quite a little menagerie of insects by the time we left. Very high bath which you had to get into to use the shower and very slippy. Had tea/coffee in room but would have been nice to have bottled water as was so warm in room. Brought 4 small bottles from a bar at a cost of £14, £3.50 per bottle really expensive for water.

The staff are very friendly and helpful and a good sence of humor make you feel welcome. The food in my opinion is very nice but i had been carving for a mixed grill for a whike so i orderd. It here bit disappointed to be honest but maybe it was a bad day that day .

Perfect location if you’re going to a funeral at the Crematorium, especially as the Wake was held at the Wheatsheaf too! Bed was comfy and I really liked the attention to details…quality biscuits and coffee in the rooms for example. Breakfast was excellent and the manager, Lizzie, couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. I would also recommend this place for a Wake…the buffet food was excellent!

The bathroom was a little ‘tired’ but, for overall value for money, this was an excellent stay.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, check in and out was easy and there was never a problem getting a table in the restaurant where the food was exceptional.

The hotel is a little too close to the A33 and the M3 / A303 junction, the traffic noise was a little excessive in the evening and first thing in the morning, the car park is used by the local school run parents to deliver and later collect their children from the school buses, which caused a problem if I arrived or left the car park at the wrong time.

The room was quiet, spacious and the bed was huge. The buffet was excellent as was the cooked breakfast.

The design of the shower controls in Room 11 is very bad. I tried to turn the right hand knob which is normally the hot tap. Please put up instructions to say do not turn this tap. I was later told that this is the temperature control and is fixed in position. I only got scalding hot water making it impossible to have a shower. No doubt everyone tries to turn this tap and it must get frequently broken.

We had a really great welcome at reception and the Gentleman (sorry forgot name) explained about our room and if we needed anything extra just to ask. We explained we were going to an evening event and would be back late but he assured us this was no trouble as they had 24 hour access and showed us the buzzer to press when returning and staff would let us in. In the room the layout was good with all amenities, iron and board, hairdryer, fan and small heater plus tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast had good choice of hot and cold food and drinks.

Nothing not to like. It was a little warm in our room but we were able to slide back double glazing and open a window

Excellent location for our weekend near Winchester visiting family. Bed was sooo comfortable, breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice from continental and full cooked breakfast. Staff were fab, in particular Alicia, front of house at breakfast- (we didn’t eat in the evening!) very helpful lady, polite, attentive, very friendly, we couldn’t ask for more!

Our room was chilly and we found out quite late at night, we had no hot water. In the morning we still didn’t have any hot and the shower/bath water was running cold. We found out there was an issue with the boilers throughout the property and they were waiting for the engineer. Staff were very apologetic, we had a free breakfast and money off our accommodation price. Excellent customer service.

Great staff, really friendly and professional. Lots of space to park and a decent sized room.Breakfast not included in our room rate but was very good. Good tea and coffee making in room with nice biscuits and the option to request fresh milk from the bar much appreciated.

The bathroom needed renovation and wasn’t as clean as I’d have liked. The sink tap was furred up and consequently showered you with water whenever you used it. There were quite a lot of thick dark beard hairs around the back of the wash basin. Other than that only other minus was pillows on bed uncomfortable and a bit smelly.

When I booked a family room 2 children 2 adults I got there and Booking.com hadn't booked that. Luckily the lovely receptionist found 1 last double room so myself and husband and to split up with the kids and each have a separate room. The staff couldn't be anymore helpful. Greated us with a smile and told us who was available if we needed anything. Room provided tea coffee facilities, hair dryer and TV.

A little chilly at night time (but it was September) heater wasn't turned on but I'm sure if id have gone and asked a staff member would have come up to do it.
