We needed accommodation close to Winchester and despite a lot of negative reviews, we booked here, mainly because it was SO much cheaper than anywhere else near Winchester. We’ve been pleasantly surprised and have enjoyed our 5 nights here. The room is really spacious, it’s clean, we have a full length bath, the bed is comfy and the linen is good. There’s a microwave in the foyer, which has been handy. There’s staff are lovely and very helpful.

For the price and quality, I feel it’s unreasonable to complain about anything as overall this place is excellent value. However there are really only 2 things to consider: 1. There’s no fridge in the room and we’re here in a heatwave, so it would’ve been handy. 2. We’ve been commuting to Winchester and back daily. When I googled the distance I only did it one way - TO Winchester - only 15 minutes… problem is the return trip is NOT direct and takes twice as long! (due to no access north bound) Oh well. For the price and comfort I’ll still stay here in future, despite the longer return trip.

The room was amazingly quiet. Despite the proximity of the southbound M3 carriageway, an earth bund and trees shield 98% of the noise. By 8am the next day, you can hear a SLIGHT roar of traffic in the distance. Just thirty yards to the main services building with Costa, M&S, Burger King, WHsmith etc. Parking spaces within 50yards, electric charging and disabled (two spaces) right next door. Everything essential worked. Fixed showerhead in the bathroom is mo use to help a lady wash her body. There is no lift to the upper floor, butvthe outer door is powered for wheelchair users (then you are on your own).

The building and decor is tired, if functional, despite the best efforts of the cheerful staff. Roughly half the TV channels had gone AWoL. Arriving from the southbound M3: The entire M3 southbound services site is overgrown. It would make a great setting for a postapocalyptic zombie movie. The carpark whitelining was being refreshed on 07MAY2025. Although the lighting in the car park works, much is blocked by the undergrowth/overgrowth. The motel is buried at the far end of the services site and the signposting is patchy. At half of the turns, there was NO direction as to which way to turn. Look the site up on Streetview or Google maps befire you start your journey.

Great location, close to Southampton. Easy parking and great facilities onsite including Burger King, M&S, Greggs and Costa. Free WiFi which is a great help. Fan in room which really helped as it was a very hot day/night. Refreshments (tea/coffee) provided in room.

The room could do with a repaint. Walls were quite heavily marked but I can’t fault that it was very clean and great value for money. Only two electrical sockets that were very far away from the bed so I’d advise bringing along extension lead if you need to plug anything in bedside

We paid around £50 for a family room, we were less than 30 mins from Southampton the next morning and would have paid closer to £200 had we stayed in Southampton. We arrived at 10:30pm and left by 10am, it served its purpose as a bed for the night.

The decor is tired The bathrooms need a deep clean, and the rooms a good clean - marks on walls, mildew on shower heads etc, all easy to fix but need time and effort, budget rates shouldn’t mean poor standards of cleanliness.

Very simple and efficient check in. Receptionists more than helpful giving me, a disabled guest, help and support to gain access to my room. Easy to login vehicle registration on tablet. Great attitude of stuff and very professional. Comfortable room with all that was necessary for a good night sleep. Quiet and clean.

The major difficulty was actually gaining access from the surrounding area. The route was problematic since there is no direct access from anywhere except the M3 in one direction. Insufficient parking space is close to the accommodation. It's insufficient disabled parking spaces. Not having a walk– In shower is a drawback for me.

Location was absolutely brilliant and the check in was really straight forward even though arriving late. It had everything we needed and was really functional. Coffee, hot shower, massive twin room, dark curtains and comfy bed.

Everything was Ok for what we needed, but it could have easily been improved with a really good hoover and deep clean of stairs hall and bedrooms. I was generally really pleased with the place - and thought "yeah .. it was fine, did the job" a good clean and freshen up making it smell nice too would have had me give the stay an excellent.

Great room, very spacious! Clean and well equipped. Big windows on the south-east side, very bright, very green outlook, quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Good value for money.

This hotel ist located at a service area of the motorway M3, southbound. It is ony reachable by car. Coming from the south you have to drive to the next exit in the north, which is about 12 miles, and make an u-turn, to go about 6 miles southbound to this particular service area.

The days inn was ok .. set in a nice little spot just off the motorway next to a Costa and m/s ... with free parking.. the staff were very pleasant and helpful... the room was spacious and the bed was super comfy ... it was a cheap room for the night and did exactly what it said on the tin ... all in all for the money, not a bad place to stay

The hole place needed a good tidy up with a paint roller that's all Quite awkward to get to you have to drive past 8 miles to next junction to come 8 miles back .. (we knew this before we booked ) ..

The receptionist was friendly and helpful, you could get extra coffee etc and use the microwave.

The bathroom was very dated, there seemed to be white hairs on the carpet and hallway could have been hoovered better but generally the room was clean and bed comfortable , plenty of space .

It was a easy half way point to break up the journey as my husband is disabled and he couldn’t manage the 6 hour drive.

The room was so dated, dressing table had all its vanished lifting off… bathroom The toilet seat dint fit and moved every time you sat down… stain on wall next to the toilet. When taking a shower you had to stand close to the taps and even then the water did full wet you. Bath tiles dirty, mould on bottom of shower curtain Very dated
