The Staff were happy helpful and hotel is 5 years old and everything worked.

On arrival the check in never works for me at the village hotels. Me I guess ? Also then the add ons like paying for the gym swimming pool and £5 a night car park. It’s like Ryan air with the add ons. Also on Sunday afternoon, I was looking forward to the famous Village Sunday roast as I stay at the Village hotels all over the Uk and they are the best BUT !!! It was the worst dinner I’ve had in many a year !! Dry cold and taste less and the very smal yourshire puds could have been used as bullets !! Shame. Spoiled my Sunday

Wow what a great place! If you want some life as well it’s a fantastic concept - stay, social & exercise all in one. The facilities in the bedroom were fantastic - loved the privacy glass in the bathroom, huge shower, electric black out blind, sensor light & the best magnifying mirror ever! Fittings were exceptionally good quality & the unusual room layout was fantastic. I’ll be looking to stay in a Village Hotel again in the future. Plus fantastic price & great location & & wonderful welcome at reception - what more could you want! Only downside - the gym bunnies hogging the disabled bays in the car park, presumably because the other bays are too far for them to walk & they’re conserving their energy!!!

Good facilities and the staff on the bar and breakfast in the morning were very bright and welcoming. Was lovely to have such good service. Nice space, the bathroom was bright and airy, the room felt bright because the privacy glass on the bathroom Let the light through.

The signage for the pool area was a bit confusing, though the pool and facilities were nice. The staff on the gym desk were a little abrupt, short and sharp but still helped.

Spaces and clean room, ample parking including electric charging station that came in handy. Would definitely book again. Close to the shopping centre. Staff was very helpful when i wanted to extend my room. Liked the fact that there was a Starbucks in the hotel, if you into coffee off course.

I would not say it is something that i did not like as the timeslots was displayed, but I wanted to take my kids for swimming but unfortunately missed the cut off time for them that was between 2pm and 6pm. Could maybe review the times to make it slightly earlier or extend by an hour maybe?

Fantastic and modern room with an excellent shower and bathroom. Decor was really nice and modern. Bed large and comfortable too. Some nice extra touches which shows that they have gone the extra mile to make your stay more comfortable such as an ironing board and excellent iron in the room plus a top notch hairdryer. Good tea/coffee making facility, large modern LG TV, a magnifying mirror in the bathroom and best of all, a push switch which instantly fogged the clear glass between the room and the bathroom for privacy. Another nice touch was the auto floor lights that came on whenever you entered the bathroom - ideal for those middle of night wee-wees. We ate at the restaurant which was really nice with great service and stayed in the bar most of the evening as it had a nice vibe to it. In the morning we used the brilliant spa and pool after checkout for a mere £5 for the 2 of us - fantastic value indeed. Would definitely recommend and we'd make this our no.1 choice if in the area again.

Nothing really although the bacon at breakfast was quite overdone but I can forgive that

Great decor at the hotel, everything you need. Large comfortable bed, large Tv, coffee, tea etc. staff were really friendly. Starbucks on site, also restaurant which also has great staff and food, there was entertainment which was fab and we watched the boxing. A genuinely good stay.

We was allocated a disabled room. Which I didn’t like. You can hear people coming down corridor in the night and next door in the room could hear them the next morning. Room smelt damp when we got back to it in the night. Realised the next morning, the smell was coming from the bathroom. It wasn’t pleasant.

Staff were great, the location was great, and the room was comfortable. We ate in the restaurant downstairs, which was lovely, and the bar staff were brilliant and made us adhoc mocktails - amazing. We made use of the pool, though we didn't use the sauna or spa pool as it was crowded. Changing rooms were great, towels provided and Dyson hairdryers were all on hand.

I shared a twin room with my friend. The frosted glass wall bathroom was a novelty and hilarious. You can see the shadows. "IF" we were body conscious before this trip, we are not now. It wasn't an issue for us, though we could see how this could be for others.

We found the breakfast OK,

We found the service for the restaurant a little slow. We arrived for breakfast waited to be seated but the staff kiosk was never staffed continually and we found they were doing tasks and not acknowledging customers waiting. The breakfast itself was not the best, and we felt very underwhelmed considering customers pay extra to have this included in their stay. We had arranged to watch the football on TV, and felt that they were understaffed, the family that was with us waited 25 minutes for a slice of cake and an ice cream.

Loved the decor. Loved the pool/steam/sauna/gym area and the use of towels. Good location. Aircon worked well. Cooked breakfast worked well

Continental part of the breakfast could have been better, only croissants available. Only bananas and no other fruit available. Mattress top was super soft and would be better being firmer (more medium) to please those that sleep on a firm bed. It was comfortable but the quality of sleep was slightly poorer than expected. The first day we were told breakfast was not included. When booking the breakfast for the second day we were told it was included. Therefore spent £20 on a breakfast for 2 which we didn't need to do.

Modern and clean, extremely comfortable beds, possibly the best we’ve ever slept on. Had a room on the 5th floor and slept like babies, so quiet. Staff were extremely welcoming and polite, the kind of service you get from a much more expensive hotel. Pool was great, really enjoyed our swim, changing room area is very swish. Loved having a Starbucks in the lobby.

It’s in a fairly industrial area of the town but to be fair, Basingstoke is like that, no town centre to speak of. I can’t fault the hotel at all.
