Perfect choice for our visit to RAF Odiham for families day. As we live 3.5hrs away we needed somewhere close to the base we could stay the night before. This was ideal. Housed in converted stables, as you open the door (No.1), there are a few steps up to the sleeping area, with a small double bed (which was very comfortable), a small consul table with tea, coffee and kettle (the biscuits were a nice touch) and a small unit for hanging coats, clothes and storing shoes/bags. At the back is a small shower room with sink and toilet, towels and toiletries provided. There is a small skylight above the bed, which you can open using the long handle provided. Plenty of plug sockets for charging phones etc. There is WiFi, though a little unstable in the rooms, it worked much better in the pub. All in all, compact but so very comfortable. It's also very quiet, even with a busy pub and other guests staying. There is a large car park to the rear of the pub. The pub itself is a very traditional village pub, and for a Thursday night, it was busy but not rammed. There is also a lovely covered outside area with halogen heaters, which we sat in after our meal. Food is available but be warned, the website is not up to date and they have themed nights, Thursdays is Mexican. We thoroughly enjoyed the homemade fajitas, chilli and desserts. A full English breakfast (served between 7.30-9am, charges apply) can be ordered for the next morning, sadly we had to be on base by 7am, so missed out. Luckily Farnham is about 15mins away, we popped to Sainsbury before dinner and bought some porridge pots and bananas for our breakfast. RAF Odiham was a 10/15 minute drive away, so it made for an excellent overnight stop.

As the weather was very hot, the room got very hot too. Even with the skylight open. Maybe a small fan could be provided.

On arrival I was made very welcome by the owners who were there to check me in, I was given all the information on meal time and everything else for my stay, I was shown to my room, handed the key and reminded if their is anything I need just let them know. The room was great and the bed was perfect, all the amenities where in the room, I was only there for the one night for work and the location was perfect for that. Many thanks to the owners for a great stay and I will be looking at staying here again.

I loved that the rooms were old stables and I didn't have to access the main building. I'd needed to head home on the second night to do some work and didn't get back until 2.30am, so having a room not connected to the pub was brilliant. And it's so quiet! It had me worried that I was disturbing people coming into town. Breakfast was filling and tasty, and the staff were so kind and helpful. The local shop opens really early and has anything you might have forgotten, toothbrush, toothpaste.....

Phone reception was enough for text messages but the pub provides excellent WiFi, so you're not cut off. The room was a little snug, but not so cramped I couldn't move around. Basically, this place is awesome. Just book your room already.

Gaz & his wife were both really friendly and made me feel welcome to stay with them. From what I gathered they havent been there that long but they have made the Plume of Feathers a wonderfully welcoming place to stay. The dinner menu is quite small but has a varied selection, I would rather places did a few thing well than lots of things where you are then dissapointed. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and you get fresh tea in a proper teapot.

The only slight problem was with the electric shower. It may just be me but there doesnt seem to be enough control over the temperiture, it was either really hot or just tepid.

Cute little room in a lovely pub! I was in the village for a wedding so unfortunely I didn’t get to explore much, but the room was perfect for what I needed - would love to come back again, explore the town and try the pub food as heard good things. Loved that it was a converted stable (I think!), bed was really comfy - great pillows and duvet too :)

A good stay as was attending a local music gig and all I needed was a bed for the night. An excellent good value and sized full english breakfast.

Rooms are a very compact, being a converted outbuilding with thin walls but thankfully all staying guests were quite quiet so didn't need to the provide ear plugs!

Beautiful location and The Plume of Feathers is a great place to stay. We stayed in the Stables which was spotless and quirky. The beds were extremely comfortable, therefore we had a good night sleep. The new owners and staff were all very pleasant and helpful. A bonus is it’s a public house as well, so people can have a meal and a drink (or two)with just a few steps into your room. Highly recommend.
