Lovely surroundings, lovely art deco feel mixed with manor style. The building is stunning, the food was really nice and the restaurant is deco glam. There is lots of parking, I did not use the pool however it did look good. The staff member that served me in the restaurant was polite and efficient.

Only a couple of things, be aware the lockers in the pool need a pound. My bathroom was really nice however the gap between the sink and the shower was small, the shower itself self was a mix of rain shower and a hand held however the rain shower made the water smell of metal. I did not use it and managed with the hand held. The only other thing is the Peacock. Absolutely stunning and I wish him no harm however I was in room 43 and he sleeps on a chimney just opposite. He screeched and called out all night and even with ear plugs I could hear him.

Dinner was excellent. Tasty and good value, communal areas were fresh and bright. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Super polite without excess. Felt very comfortable as a lone female visitor.

The WiFi was a bit hit and miss on 2nd floor. Room and en-suite was clean, but sheet was torn and duvet cover had some sort of mess on it, so slept on the otherside of bed! 🙁. Shower unit was so small, could not turn round in it and when I dropped my shampoo, I had to open the door!! (I am regular size person!). Also, no lift so although staff kindly offered to take bags upstairs, had to think about exit strategy for an early meeting getaway!

The hotel keeps improving. My comfortable single room had air conditioning and a recently refurbished bathroom. The downstairs areas are very nice and aimed solidly at the spa break/wedding venue markets. It's also a great location for walking on Newlands Corner and very close to Carlos's excellent Italian restaurant

Most of the accommodation is in the older part of the building and doesn't have any lifts to the first floor. My room was up the main stairs, along a corridor, down two further flights of stairs, along another corridor and up a final flight of stairs. This is a lot of up and down with a heavy suitcase! The staff did say that you could telephone from the room to assist with the luggage, but they didn't offer on the way up. Maybe they saw my suitcase! To be fair to the hotel, I think they have some ground floor rooms. Breakfast was satisfactory, but I didn't think much of the evening menu. They could enhance their in room facilities with a coffee pod machine, a small fridge and fresh milk.

Location is in good-sized and kept grounds, adjacent to a beautiful part of the Surrey Hills! The air con! I enjoyed a good-quality dinner The front desk was very welcoming. It was good value.

I had a two night stay. On the first night there was a function and guests were still noisily going to bed up until 3am, banging doors and making lots of disruptive noise. Thankfully the second night was perfect. 👌 The (single) room was tucked away up and down various flights of stairs and stairs and at the end of a narrow corridor. Fine if you don’t have much baggage, but I did. Having said that, I declined their enthusiastic offer of assistance on my arrival.

Great position, nice restaurant and bar, beautiful grounds - the restaurant food and staff were exceptional- the have great offers each day as well - the owners are also very nice.

Stairs,stairs and stairs! You cannot go to the rooms without climbing stairs and so if you have heavy luggage or injuries/disabilities this is a major challenge. Also they have crazy peacock on site which if he wants to sits outside your window and ‘call’ all night then sleep is a challenge! Happened to me on my first and last night.

Bed was comfortable. Bath was excellent. The food in the restaurant was excellent and a big surprise with the quality. Service in the restaurant was good. Grounds are extensive, with peacocks walking around. Parking is plentiful. The spa area looked excellent with outside sunbeds, a good-sized pool, and a jacuzzi.

Check-in was a little unpersonal. Asked about dinner reservation and didn't realise we already had one. Distance to walk to room was long, lightly lite corridors that were narrow and up 2 flights of stairs. Bit of a maze. Also, the room had a 1 inch gap in the door, so the light from the corridor shone in. Also, just blinds installed in two large windows with a gap letting light in at sunrise, which was around 4.30 am. Noise from other rooms. Alarms in the morning could be heard, and even the plugging in of an electrical appliance into the plug socket could be heard. Room had no mini fridge to keep drinks cold, like water.

Great spa and pool area. Lovely modern decor in the restaurant and hallways/entrance (didn’t quite match this in the rooms) and great scenery surrounded by green fields. Comfy room and delicious food for breakfast and dinner. Great location with walks in close proximity and nearby shops if you forgot any essentials (hotel couldn’t provide toothpaste which we had forgotten].

Rooms felt slightly outdated in style compared to the very modern restaurant and public areas. Staff noticeable under pressure when we went for dinner due to their being a wedding on so felt we were quite rushed with asking us to pick our food straight away. We didn’t feel we could relax and would want to maybe order another drink which we would’ve done which was a shame as the food was delicious.

Myself, partner and 3 year old had a one night stay here on a Friday evening - from the minute we arrived we were greeted with friendly staff which continued throughout (special thanks to Mo!) - we were made to feel welcome and that nothing was too much when asked. They cafeteria for our 3 year old outside of the normal dinner and breakfast menu, and really made him feel welcome too. Everywhere was spotlessly clean , tidy and lively decor throughout. Our room was extremely comfortable and catered for us all very well. The swimming pool was great for our little one and next time we will return and try the outside jacuzzi. The grounds were lovely , well kept and nice to walk around. We really can not fault this hotel - fantastic value for money and we will definitely return soon.

Setting and the whole Manor is comfy and safe. I've stayed several times over the last years (pre covid) and brought my 12yr old grandson to stay on our way to visit family & friends, for Christmas. Heating via the air conditioner was good in the room. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful and my grandson enjoyed every mouthful. My smaller breakfasts with mushrooms & hashbrowns were good. Thanks staff - well done.

Dinner evening choices were not as good but still well presented. I have allergies to tomatoes, eggs & chicken plus 12year old grandson wanted plain burger but it wasn't really suitable. Staff were polite and service was quick. Bathroom: Shower head is far too big for the glass shower wall. Halve the size to a more direct, small round shower head and save the flooding effect! Suggestion about the shower/bathroom/air: no extractor meant steam and damp was extreme. Therefore, provide bathrooms like that with a special fan unit (we have basic ones that work well - in Australia) to suck in damp & steam to keep air fresh and clear. Water temperature was good though - no heating caused the steam. And the towel rail didn't work.

The setting is beautiful and the foyer is very impressive as you enter. Our family room was large and very comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious and clean. There's a very well equipped gym and the staff were friendly and helpful. There's also an outdoor jacuzzi which is a lovely idea when the weather warms up a little!

Plenty of car parking spaces but sometimes you have to walk a little way to reception as the car park is quite long. It's only tricky if it's raining but it's certainly possible to drop off passengers in front of the reception area then park.
