Location is great, especially for us because we had an event at G Live. Staff was super friendly, always willing to help. Super clean and comfortable bed, I slept like a baby :) Internet was great too.

There were some simple but important amenities missing which should be there in a hotel of this quality: slippers, bathrobe, toilet brush (!), minibar.. Shower would benefit from a European showerhead with hose, not just the fixed 'pear' thing. Value for money is not great - given the cost to quality ratio it would be nicer to have the breakfast included in the rate and access to the swimming pool instead of asking 10GBP each person every time for 1hr use of the pool .

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Accommodations were fine, nothing really special. Good big room, nice bathroom with shower and bath (that is very convenient if you travel with kids) What I liked is a restaurant with good a La carte food and cocktails. And pretty good breakfasts. They were same everyday, But all was fresh and tasty. All staff were nice, friendly and really helpful. Manager of hospitality presented a balloon for my son, that really made his day even more exciting. It is central Location, right at the end of the Main Street with shops and restaurants. SPA is restricted for children. It was sad to know this, coz we wanted to visit a pool because of the heat. For adults it is a big plus though

Nothing. May be I would say that twin beds were a bit narrow. Every night I was afraid that my 6 y.o kid will fall down. So I had to put chair next to it. But for me it was ok.

Loved the location of the hotel as we were going to a show in G-Live. The public spaces - bar and restaurant areas were lovely - ceiling height fab and decor seating very nice. Staff helpful and attentive (and had a sense of humour). Restaurant food was delicious and good value.

Breakfast layout could have been better. one coffee machine for everyone meant long queues - then hot breakfast a long way off - I was with older parents who struggled with carrying a plate such a distance to the table. For the price of the hotel I would have expected tea and coffee served at the table, a buffet continental with a table service for the hot part with choices of kippers, eggs royale etc too.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the facilities are great. The location is a bonus too - we strolled down to the town for a wonderdul dinner.

I don't think it is fair to have to pay extra for access to the pool/jacuzzi facilities. To me, this should all be incorporated in the room rate. I also think it needs to be highlighted a few days prior to arrival that you will need to book your spa entry slot. We were unable to do so on the Saturday but luckily secured one for the Sunday. If we had not even been able to use the pool/jacuzzi facilities, that would have been very disappointing.

Lack of information at check-in point, had to go back to find to breakfast time and place and again to find out check-out time. No such info on key card holder or in room. Breakfast - disappointing selection and very poor allergen Information, staff ill-informed and one vegetarian guest really struggled. Very little provision for gluten free too. Very small breakfast area caused queues and delays. We could not book into the Spa, not even for a basic swim as fully booked for the weekend and there would have been a charge on top of the room even just for a swim. Car parking good but insecure as barrier to leave was always open.

Excellent concierge on check-in desk, helped us to find the car park and then guided us back upstairs to reception. Very friendly and accommodating and when I mentioned in passing that it was our anniversary (and realising this may have been a last minute booking by me!), he out-of-the-blue gave us a complimentary breakfast and spa. This a was a really nice gesture, which whilst I would not expect it to be repeated, made us feel very much valued. The rooms were clean, cool and quiet and this was a perfect getaway for my wife and I.

A bit slow on the table service in the bar (outside), but nothing serious.

Breakfast - Excellent choice, quality of ingredients, well prepared and hot where applicable

The dining chairs in the breakfast room are threadbare where the backing fabric used was not of sufficient wear resistance as the seat pads. This makes the furniture look very tired. Also the dining chairs need felt glides on the feet to stop the loud noises whenever the chairs are moved. The dining furniture needs a refresh as it lets the rest of the excellent decor down.

Staff are very efficient. Beds are comfortable - also choice of either firm or squishy pillows in the room. The bathroom was one of the best experienced in UK recently. The TV was better than most hotels. All of us felt that this is one of the quietest hotels we have ever stayed in. Slept very well. Breakfast was amazing by quality and choice, better than most experienced in the UK - especially the Melitta coffee machine which, unusually, had decaffeinated options and the breakfast staff were really friendly. The gym is well-equipped with new machines, something often not found in hotels and the split level between CV and weight room was novel and fun. Great large jacuzzi and plunge pool.

The only disappointment was with the spa which despite the necessity of having to book a time slot, felt overcrowded. If the weather had been warm, the outdoor area would have been fabulous, but given it was March, one of us did swim outside, but otherwise, the lack of indoor lap pool was inconvenient. Sadly the sauna is too small so we had to wait 15 minutes just to get a space in there and then it was cramped, having to inconvenience others with your feet when you were up on the top level. For us a major dislike was having to walk through sweat-laden water draining out of the sauna (which has no lip on the door no drainage there). A staff member had to sweep the water into the shower. Several people in the sauna with us commented on the unhygienic aspect of this.

I love the location, just at the top of high street so is nice and quiet but near all shops and restaurants etc if wanted. Spa area is a good bonus, breakfast is very well presented and plenty of choice. Staff are incredibly helpful and polite, hotel is all in good repair and decor.

There are no opening windows in the rooms and not much light comes in through the windows that are there. The air conditioning is fresh but is the only way of getting clean air in the room. This doesn’t stop me going as there are so many pluses to the hotel but this is the one thing I don’t like. Can get busy there if events on but generally in the room is quite. Only on odd occasion do some late night people make a little noise. This is true of every hotel though.

Location was great and breakfast was amazing. Rooms were comfortable, although some repairs in the room were needed, but nothing major. The girl on reception was lovely (helpful, welcoming and professional)

We booked some treatments and use of the spa. It is quite small. Sauna, steam room, jacuzzi.. all were really small, comfortably would fit 4 people in each of the above.. any more than that, you're sitting side by side. The jacuzzi had something floating in the water.. looked like a facial wipe, and a manky collection of hair. I think they need to manage the number of people using the spa facilities.. beds were side by side - like sardines. One lady at reception wasn't very welcoming, whilst she other younger girl was helpful and professional.
