Was warm and cosy in the room my son was in. He was exhausted and very cold when he arrived. He was asleep within half aan hour of arriving and he said he had an ‘amazing kip’ when he rung me in the morning. He said the breakfast was grand! Thank you.

Not really anything my son didn’t like, however access to more tea and milk after 10pm would be helpful as my son was very cold after riding his motorbike for 3 hours in the early evening. He’d used the two teabags and milk in the room within 20 mins of arrival then fell asleep. He was told to not ring the out of hours bell unless it was an emergency and the honesty bar didn’t have any milk or tea bags in, which was a shame.

Staff very helpful, graceful and polite. They book a taxi for me before I checked in. Communication was made by email. They kept my bag for the all day after sign out whilst I was in town. They communicated well with change of staff. Small; Modern refurbishment of a old house; Free WiFi, Cozy reception with seating area and TV to liaise with fellow with self help bar outside normal hours ; WARM room and bathroom. Complimentary Water Bottle, tea, coffee, milk. Comfy bed and two pillows which were not to thick (I had a single bed!) 5mn walk from Railway Station to the train or the RAILAIR Bus to London Heathrow Airport ; 6mn-7mn from the High Street

I thought the Late Night Arrival Safe was to the right of the door... but it was below the stair on the right of the stair out of view from the street. A guest smoking outside help me to find the fob. It took us 5mn to 10mn. The Form with guest details you have to fill in; I went to reception and did not find a secure place to drop my form. With Data Protection (address, passport detail, nationality ...) I did not feel leaving on the reception desk. I handed it to the the receptionist the next morning.

The room met all my needs. Adequately sized for a single bedroom. Excellent, clean, watertight, and powerful shower. Amber, mandarin and sandlewood toiletries. Clean white linens and towels. Wall mounted television. Picture on wall of an interesting historic view of Guildford. Friendly receptionists.

To perfect the room, a bit of touching up of scuffed gloss paint on some of the door frame woodwork. Finding missing covers to towel radiator in bathroom. Bleaching the inner edge of the lavatory seat. Adding a second but more subtle light to the main central light.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - nothing was too much! You do need to choose your breakfast by 10pm the night before which was not an issue for us and it was delicious. Breakast times cater especially for business travellers so if you are a leisure time traveller, you might have an early morning if you want to make breakfast. There is an honesty bar in a communal lounge and everything you need is stocked. Rooms were adequately equipped with all you need, and shower was spacious. We could see it would be great for solo business travellers. Internet was excellent. If the weather wasn't so bad, we would have walked to dinner in the town, but an uber was easy to order and our host even booked us a table at a great pub nearby which was a life saver as it was really busy. Nothing - it was great to stay here albeit it very focused on business travellers needs. One small point to note is that there were no USB ports in our room which is odd for a hotel that has many business clients. However we are always armed with cords etc to ensure we can charge our laptops, phones and watches etc so for us it wasn't an issue.

Room was very clean. The towels and room were changed and cleaned daily. For Breakfast the Hotel served various options - all prepared in their own kitchen. We had English breakfast and salmon. Both were very satisfying. The location of the Hotel was near to where we needed to go and it was also near the town. Staff was always cheerful and at hand to assist. Carolyn and Hosea made sure we were well taken care of.

The usual summer issue - no air conditioning.

First of all, Asperion Hotel has a prime location. 10 minute walk from the city centre, it is so centrally located that everything is a brief walk away. It is five minutes from the rail station, and ten from the high street and the Friary shopping centre. Just have in mind, for those of you who don't know Guildford, it is full of steep roads! Arrived in the afternoon, before my check-in time, but the receptionist, who was very kind and cheerful let me check-in into my room. All ladies at reception, including the manager were excellent, very polite and very helpful! I was informed about the breakfast upon my check-in: they have a hot menu selection, with top of the notch choices, and you select from the night before what you want to eat and the time you want to have breakfast. So there is no waste of food. Moreover, there is a nice dinner menu selection as well. What i tried for breakfast was delicious (omelet with mushrooms, tomato and cheese, scrambled eggs and salmon! My room was in the ground floor, room no. 4. Nicely decorated room, with modern bathroom, and a shower with excellent water pressure! The bed mattress was very comfortable mattress too. At the hotel's entrance they have a small lounge, with a 'help yourself' mini bar, with a variety of drinks, and some snacks, you just note down if you use anything. Rooms are carpeted, which sometimes can be a negative, but the carpet was very clean. Housekeeping service daily, with high cleaning standards! If I could find something negative to say, it would be the teeniest detail - the bed could be made better! Imagine how perfect everything was! A small hotel that pays attention to detail. When I visit Guildford again, this is definitely the place I will be staying!

Our room was fine, the bathroom facilities excellent. Breakfast was very good. Supper was good, although the menu options were a bit limited.

The only reason I gave the hotel facilities a 9/10 is due to the lack of a lift in the building because my husband developed mobility issues on this trip. I realize this isn't something easily remedied but if it isn't on the website, perhaps that could be noted so people could request a ground floor room. As far as the dinner menu went, I would have preferred to have some more basic meals, perhaps grilled chicken or simple pastas, or club sandwiches. The mac and cheese was excellent, but one can't have that every night.

The room was a good size with nice furniture. The bathroom was stylish and well thought out. The staff were professional and friendly and breakfast was delicious (complimentary if you book direct). Check in/out were efficient. The hotel was nicely painted/furnished and felt up to date. Availability/security of onsite parking was good. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

It would have been useful to have two room keys. The hedge behind the car parking spaces needs a serious trim as normal length cars barely fitted in some spaces. The metal of the shower screen had some unsightly damaged, not expected in a four star hotel. The room door had expanded and was difficult/noisy to close; it would have woken other guests on a late return to the room. Although the hotel matched many of my expectations, a small fridge and a coffee maker in the room would have been welcome amenities.

The room was clean, warm and a good size for 2. The shower was working well and the bathroom was spotless! TV worked and had plenty of channels and radio stations. The location was perfect, a 5 minute walk from the town centre with lots of pubs/restaurants and activities to see

For the size of the room. I would say it was slightly overpriced for just the one night. 2 night maybe would have fir the price but for one stay it was abit over

We were greeted by a lovely lady who explained everything about the hotel to us. There were some lovely photos on the walls of Guildford, nice touch. The weekend was warm & there was a pleasant seating area outside

A geographical point: The property is up a hill. This however gave great views of the town & meant we were not in the middle of the bars & clubs
