Stayed at this hotel many times, great place to relax. Lovely rooms and bathrooms. Hotel welcomes dogs, pretty grounds and places to walk.

As much as we love this hotel, it has held a wedding on most weekends we have stayed. This is not usually a problem for us and obviously this is the main income to the hotel, but this time we felt that the paying guest was secondary, the receptionist informed us at the time of check in, that they would be most grateful if you could check out and be off the premises by 11am! God forbid that the bride and wedding party would set eyes on the ordinary guests! Don’t offer the rooms, if you can’t deliver the usual customer service to the paying guest.

A wonderful place with blooming (early April) gardens. Comfortable and spacious rooms, at least in the main building. The wish for a quiet room was fully met. The reception staff was extremely attentive and friendly.

Over the last 9 years (our last visit) the hotel restaurant has evolved into a more sophisticated dining venue, which has also been reflected in the prices, however the service in the restaurant does not fully meet this standard yet - for example, side dishes were served later than the main courses for no reason...

Lovely setting , buildings and accommodation. Peaceful location. . Good food. Friendly staff . Fan provided .

Ran out of some breakfaat ingredients eg sausages , pastries. It soon arrived Confusing message about what was included. Think this is a fault of Booking.com. It says half board GBP35 but no way to get this and what does it mean?! Tv in our room - no reception for BBC channels and remote volume control didn’t work even after batteries changed by staff .

The hotel is really an oasis of tranquility. My partner and I were there for a weekend break and this was the perfect place to escape to. The grounds are beautifully taken care of and full of lovely little details that make the space very special. The hotel buildings are very nicely decorated with a lot of attention to detail. The hotel staff were so accommodating and made us feel completely at home. We ate our meals on the terrace in the garden and it was simply lovely.

The pillows were not great and both my partner and I had stiff necks in the mornings. I would suggest the hotel offer neck supporting pillows for guests who need them.

The hotel is stunning and set in beautiful grounds. Very friendly staff and everything was high quality.

I happened to stay on a very hot weekend in July and it was unbearable in my room. I couldn't sleep and felt sick, with the fan providing little help. I'm sure I would've been very happy and comfortable if the temperature was cooler.

It’s a beautiful property. The grounds were gorgeous. Came here during the holidays but we did not purchase their Christmas package. The staff in bar area was excellent.

The night receptionist, Alina? Wasn’t accommodating after we asked for just a basket of bread. We arrived late, our rental had to be tolled to the hotel due to a flat tire, we were famished/tired. Very unfortunate given we heard wonderful things about this place. Szolt, the GM was very attentive after he heard the “hiccup”.

Lovely property and well maintained. Room was comfortable and had everything you need for a short break. Great grounds to relax in and helpful staff to greet you at reception and bar area. Overall a very nice play to stay, and we will again in a few months.

Not much to not be unhappy about. We liked the place a lot. Point to consider to make even better. Access to the room was through a steep stairway that was a little narrow. Would be nice to have some gym facilities and a wider food choice in the bar area.

Staff were friendly. Food was lovely. The room was clean. We would have loved to experience afternoon tea and Spa but unfortunately it was not possible due to a wedding being hosted during our stay. Will definitely return for a retreat!

That we couldn’t reserve a table for afternoon tea or book a Spa treatment due to the hotel being block booked due to a wedding. I understand that it was beyond staff control but they were great hosts!

Perfect choice for a night's stay after going to a friend's wedding. Lovely sized room in the courtyard. Comfy bed, so a great night's sleep! Pleasant helpful staff on reception and in dining area. Would definitely stay again to explore the area and its many attractions.

It was a shame that the carpet had a stain by the bed, which was visible as soon as you walked in the room, and whilst the blinds worked, they didn't go up straight .

It’s a glorious property of the period with fabulous grounds and very well designed internally. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with all the amenities one would expect for a property of this quality.

We enjoyed a lovely meal at the hotel restaurant one evening and the food was great, although I felt a little overpriced.
